One of the reason Hillary Clinton was popular with her supporters was because she was a strong woman who enabled women. We need more of that. Who else do you look up to as a strong woman in her field?
sort by best latest
That's quite true. Let's see what happens in 2020.
Also a disbarred lawyer.
You incite a lot of eye-rolling, you know that?
Cool, I always wonder what I "incite"
We don't need another person in the White House like michelle that wants to take away our freedoms.
8 years of a marxist is enough, me thinks.
And by "our" you clearly do not mean your country as a whole. The incoming president wants to take away women's freedoms but you all seem fine with that.
Considering Trumps campaign manager was a woma,n how do you figure "women's" rights will be taken away?
If you mean that women cannot use taxpayers dollars to have abortions, I agree whole heartedly!
Oh you're right, the fact that his campaign manager was a woman totally nullifies the implications of wanting to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Well, he said give it back to the states, where it belongs.
Why do you think taxpayers ought to pay for abortions?
Idiotic and insane!
The right for a woman to have access to a safe & legal abortion should not depend on location.
Isn't abortion only funded by taxpayers in the case of Medicaid & under extreme circumstances?
Nope, Planned Parenthood only exists because of support by the government.
That's why so many people dislike what goes on tax dollars are used to support the abortion mill.
If it was women paying, I think it'd be less of a problem
I can sympathize with people not wanting their money to go towards something they vehemently disagree with. I can. But there are situations where it's not possible or ethical (IMO) to demand that a woman pay out of pocket.
Well, that's where you and I disagree.
My view is taxes are theft - so the only way I pay for your abortion is by the government robbing me. So now I'm twice as ticked
1) I'm being robbed
2) to pay for something that I object too.
Sure. We definitely disagree. I'm okay leaving it at that.
I don't necessarily want to see her in the white house due to differing policy views, but I agree Michelle Obama is a class act.
John, she's actually not disbarred, her license is inactive. Snopes can clarify the difference if needed.
Thanks for your input! It's unfortunate I hadn't heard about her before you brought her to my attention. I'll have to read more about her. Thanks!
Interesting you "Haven't heard of her" She's only been on center stage for over a year. Been on most of mass media's shows in interviews.
Funny how the mass media ignores small things like this, isn't it?
John, to be fair, I'm a college student that doesn't pay for cable. Any TV I see is via netflix or hulu. That might be why I was ignorant of who she was. I try to keep up to date online, but either media bias or lifestyle prevented it.
WOW! Good for Priyanka for not giving up in an industry in which she wasn't appreciated. That says a lot about someone's character! Thank you for your response. I don't know most of these women. I look forward to researching more about them!
All true, Tamara.
Clinton, behind closed doors, was a witch.
Bitter and bigoted - too bad the mass media ignored that fact.
Actually, I agree. I didn't vote for her for these reasons. But I know many of her supporters saw her as a role model. This was a naive attempt to find common ground in other female role models that isn't going as intended, not an endorsement.
