One's past in a specific lifetime, in general, can not be let go of. However, the pull of those past events can be lessened provided one embrace the concept of karma and reincarnation. Usually because of karma, they can not be fully released because if the events hinges on, lets say, a girl is being hurt by another girl's actions to her significant other, either in a past or future life the girl being hurt was/will incarnate as the other. But, when one is in their last incarnation for becoming a, let's say christ, after feeling the pain of the other body your past life's action hurt you can embrace it and relinquish the pain of it. In that case it becomes a part of their testimony for their conscious level.
Sonetimes, though, when both events are not in before becoming christ incarnations they do forget it after separating from the other person. This is done so that during the incarnations between the "reaping what was sown" they will not be hampered by the event. Other times they will reflect back on it on occasions for burying it deeper into their life-force because of how deep the other incarnation's reactions of hurt are.
Even this explanation can not do anything to lessen the pains karma has in store for us, it must be reaped completely as it was with other life-force living it.
Be At Peace with all things as much as Karma will allow.
Nice. Big thumbs up for this Nice perception
Hello there!
Letting go of the past can be very tricky. Especially if you don't want to let go. Sometimes we end up being in situations that have to be let go off but we don't want to do it. An example would be a toxic relationship, you might not want to let go off your relationship but you know it's what's the best for your mental health. No matter what the situation is though you can get past it, but you will always remember it. What's important to remember in every bad situation is the fact that you will feel better. Sometimes talking to people like your family or friends (just saying what's going on out loud) can really help. With every day things get better. You should really try to avoid going back to your "past" because that's self destruction.
Keep your head up and you'll move on! Believe in yourself, because you can do it! Xoxo

We have all experienced deep traumatizing hurt at some point in our lives. Some of us have been so scared by our past that we subconsciously sabotage our future. Mis-trust, insecurity, low self esteem and committment issues are just a few examples of the end result of our hurtful past experiences....

Have you ever felt the need for revenge? What did you do about it? Did you pull of some sneak revenge? Did you plan the revenge but not do anything about it? Did you find some way to train your brain onto something else more constructive?
