Well, a wedding photographer should be a number of things all in one. First, they should be personable and approachable...reason being you are going to have to deal with this person all day long and even longer if you are going to be involved in the planning of photo locations and in picking out photos after they have been taken. Which leads me to my second point...they should give you the option to be involved in the above mentioned processes. Third, you want to find someone with references and examples of their work. You want to tell them your vision and make sure they are capable of producing it for you. Fourth, you should discuss money and how you will be paying in clear terms. A photographer who does not have payment options might not be the best way to go...they could be pressed for cash and not have your best interest in mind. Finally, find out if the photographer has a staff, Will they be the one taking the pictures and if they are working on more than one job around the time you need their services. There are some other minor details...but these five sticking points should at least weed out the mice from the men!
