What is LOVE, really?  Love is a great affection towards someone. How do you know this? it hurts you

so much when you miss them. to feel and being in love is to completely allow yourself to become apart of someone this meaning you share happiness, success, sorrows and fears together.this kind of love requires you to be true cause this is the only way to have "true love".but regarding all "true love's "great gift's be very careful cause we all know "the one we love the most, wehurt the most". let love take its course.......

Wow i like the way you think Love is the greatest gift, and you should let it take it's course, for if you don't you would have never lived. To live is to feel so you must love. If you are too careful it is an affection. Love is everything you said wanting to be there though the good or the bad, protecting that person from themsleves and yourself know when to let them go too ,you just want that persons happiness even when it is not with you.

I think Love is when you looked at somebody you like and you can't imagine anything wrong with them, and you Love them for their flaws and you speak softly and kindly to the person to love. Love is an amazing emotion!

Love is so many things, Smikle. I waited up all the wee hours of a night a few nights ago just to phone call a personal friend 6,000 miles away who needed a total cheering up. That phone call, such a simple little thing made a world of a difference to that person, and I love that person a lot.

Love is giving without taking. It is always showing just our warm side, and our "The door is open come on in for a chat" sign hanging up all the time. Put ourselves in the other person's shoes, and ask ourselves "what would we want - what way would we want to be loved?"

Love is sharing ourselves in everything with that special person. And putting them first, always. It is unselfish, and open.

Love comes in many shapes and sizes. No one package can fit all. But true love, I would agree with you. But I also feel that as love matures, it changes. You still share your wishes, hopes, dreams, sorrows, successes, and every thing in between. Yet, it is a true union, not one of immature or budding love, but one that has developed fully and successfully. While there is great comfort in each other's company and companionship, it should never be stale. To allow a marriage or a love to become stale is asking for it to end.
