"Well, you married him!" and then she hung up...Do I call her back?
Once again, bleating and moaning about her husbands misdemeanors and even though advice and suggestions have been made in the past, he buys his way back with a carat of something! Two years courtship, married for three, no children and the perfect housewife. So after stating the question at hand which obviously did not go down too well, do I ring her back or let her mull on it for a wee bit? She will bounce back again but then we'll be right back where we started in another month or so... Grr!
People like that just need someone too stress out. When she is complaining about him she has no intention on letting it go. She is using you to vent and it is stressing you the hell out. You want her to shit or get off the toilet. It's unfair to you. Let her call him, hang-up on him and not speak to him for about a month. Maybe she will have enough time to realize he's a jerk anyway. I wouldn't call her. let her call you. She knows how to find you to vent about him so, she'll know how to call you and say, "I miss you let's talk anout something else." It doesn't mean you don't want to listen but,it can be a bit overwhelming for you also.
Thanks Magicallymystical... it also maybe a good time to re-evaluate our friendship as harsh as that may sound or simply just keep her at arms length. It's just too repitive now and my offer of help has gone or will go nowhere, if first, she doesn't help herself.

If Jesus was nailed to a cross Why does Paul say he was hung on a tree?Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Galatians 3:13

Recently, I have been reading reports about how President Obama's birth certificate is a forgery. According to one reporter, the white house has a PDF version of the certificate that is publically available. I looked at the certificate and something about the numbers struck me as odd. Then, I read...
