Cheap Bridesmaids Wedding Gifts
Staying in Your Budget
Once you’ve begun planning your wedding, you will quickly realize that it’s more expensive than you thought it would be. But that doesn’t mean you have to skimp on important things.
Your bridesmaids are your best friends, so when it comes to bridesmaid gifts for them, you want to be able to give them something lovely and thoughtful. And you can.
Here are some ideas for gifts that look great but don’t bust your budget.
There are so many beautiful sets of earrings available that you can give to your girls for a bridesmaid gift. By giving them all the same style, you will have a unified look.
Ask them to wear them to your wedding. Go online at places such Overstock.com, QVC.com, HSN.com. They have earrings for under $20 that make a strong statement and look very expensive.
Only you will know how little you
paid, and the girls will have a gift that they can not only cherish but use again and again.
You can choose to gift your bridesmaids with the shoes they will wear at your wedding. Shoes should all look unified, so you can ensure you’ve got the look you want and a great gift when you select them. You can find discount shoes at all sorts of places from Target and Walmart to shoe-only stores like DSW and Famous Footwear. For $20 or so, you can get everyone the same style. Just get sizes ahead of time. Your bridesmaids will be thrilled to have the lovely shoes and one less thing to pay for.
You can also take the shoe idea in another direction. Get them all personalized flip flops to change into for the dancing at your wedding. You can order them online or make them. Just buy white flip flops at the dollar store and add their names in fabric paint. You can add a faux jewel or flower adornment found at a craft store. This is a fun and inexpensive gift. Other brides also choose ballet slippers or inexpensive white sneakers like Keds.
You can take a trip to the craft store and find everything you need to make a nice set of bracelets for your bridesmaids. Beading is very hot this season. All you need is available on the beading aisle. You’ll need wire, a closure and beads. If you’re not sure how to do it, just ask the clerk at the craft store. They can point you towards the items you need easily.
You won’t believe how fun and simple it is to create unique beaded bracelets that look just as good as anything store bought. Plus, you can personalize them. Add a special charm or initial (also found at the craft store) to each one so that no two are the same.
A Toiletry Kit
Since your girls will be with you and on their feet all day (and often the night before at a hotel), they could use a little pampering kit. Select an inexpensive make-up case for each girl at a dollar or discount store. Fill it with sample sizes of products like shaving cream, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, hand sanitizer, make up remover and wipes.
It’s such a thoughtful gift because they can use it immediately. Make it as festive as you want. Add bath beads or a perfume spray or whatever else will make it personal. You could even include a gift certificate for each girl if you find you still have money left over.
