Country Christmas Wedding Theme

If you love the beauty of the country side and the Christmas holiday season, then a Country Christmas Wedding will be the perfect theme for your wedding. Combining the neutral colors of white, grey and brown of rustic barns in the winter, with the bright and cheery colors of red and green, you can have a festive wedding which celebrates everything you love. Here I have gathered some great invitations, decorations, favors and other ideas to help you plan a winter country wedding.

Decorating A Country Christmas Wedding

ceremony holiday decorations

Make or purchase Wedding Ribbon Wands with jingle bells for the perfect send off accessory from the ceremony or reception. Placed on pews, hung with bows, and they will serve as decorations for the pews and can easily be picked up by guests on their way out. Or place small tin buckets on the guest tables with the wands, and serve as table decorations and then the guests can pick up to say goodbye when you leave the reception.

Decorations can range from traditional Christmas decorations to whimsical decorations. For example, a snowman made out of buckets filled with popcorn, nuts or other snack is a fun and inexpensive centerpiece for either the guest tables, childrens tables or a separate appetizer table.

White stringed holiday lights are perfect for decorating your reception venue. Clear lights make the atmosphere more delicate and elegant, while keeping with the holiday spirit. Use green & red paper lanterns, or any color which coordinates with your wedding, for a festive look. Paper lanterns are great for Christmas as they look like giant Christmas ornaments.

Christmas Entertainment For The Kids - great & easy ideas for children at weddings

If you are having kids at your wedding, it is always a good idea to have some things for them to do at your reception. Christmas crafts are a perfect way to keep them entertained. Have a separate table with the crafts and hire a teen or adult to help the kids out.
