   I believe it's up to personal morals and will power. People aren't using their brains as much anymore (not surprising when we have everything at the tip of our fingers and don't have to use much brain power for anything) so they don't think things through as well as they might have in a different moment. People are giving in more and more to temptations without caring about the consequences because they feel in one way or another that it's not a big deal or nobody will know. But the truth always comes out.

   When it comes to "life style choices" the only person you can control is yourself. It's next to impossible to regulate "sins".
   
   Several decades ago the U.S. government attempted to outlwaw alcohol during the "prohibition area".  The end result was there were too many people who were willing to break the law in order to drink. Today purchasing and drinking alcohol is leagal in all 50 states. Gambling another (former sin) has caught on so much that most major cities have casinos in or near them. It's been proven that smoking causes cancer and young people in every generation start up the habit each year. (400,000) people die every year of smoke related diseases
   
   Sex which is a "basic" human and animal urge for that matter doesn't stand a chance of being discouraged or regulated. Trying to find a way to discourage people from having sex is the same as trying to discourage them from eating ice cream or french fries. If the fear of AIDS, STDS, Unwanted pregnancy, or the high cost of divorce for those who are married and cheating won't discourage sexual activity then NOTHING will. This is a battle that can't be won.

   we have no right to discourage pre-marital sex. why shouldn't people have sex just for the pleasure? as for couples being unfaithful, i doubt anything others do would stop someone from messing around if that's how they are.

   personally I wouldn't discourage pre-marital sex
   but if a person wanted to wait until marriage I wouldn't discourage that either.
   Ultimately people choose to do what they do, I don't think there's much anyone else can do to stop their choices.
