A random piece of advice sounds a little bit weird to me. If a random person came up to me and asked for a random piece of advice I would advice him not to ask me for any adivce and be careful with approaching random people with such requests.

Don't take anything too seriously. The world is an illusion. It is not there. What really happens is, thoughts pass through your mind and then you think its the world.

My best piece of advice to anyone is one word, "wait."  I've learned, as I grow older, that reacting to a situation without thinking is a sure way to get what you don't want.  Usually, if you have patience and wait - wait to think, to decide what outcome you would like and how to achieve it, to calm down - things will work out.

As the "Old Master" would say to his student, "Patience my son," then look off to the horizon and mutter to himself, "Dang kids, always in such a hurry" "Why not stop and smell the flowers, appreciate the sunrise and linger on the rememberance of a smoldering look from a young lady."  Patience in the key to a longer life and happiness.  Just a random thought, for a question about random advise from a random stranger.

As I say to most people I meet, the best advice I could give anyone is to never be in a hurry. Actually I first started saying this when my oldest brat started driving...

The best advice i could ever give someone is as they go about their daily life, read up on, learn, then hopefully master: Negative emotions feelings & thought control & meditation, & their life will improve like they never would have thought possible..We've learnt all of our negative emotions feelings & thoughts off other people, & there is a way to train our mind back to being logical clear & calm permanently..See it as a skill to learn like riding a bike is or learning to swim, & it takes many months to master but is fascinating stuff as your real self is slowly revealed to you..Now I've said that to many people over the last year or so, & they all looked at me with the same blank stare!lol....It's the number one secret to life followed very closely, by finding our hobbies passions interests & loves which when combined will lead a person eventually to contentment..Which is the number one & only reason & goal for all of the people on planet earth today, find contentment find your soul mate become eternal it's as simple as that..Find all that & it can't be taken away at death, because love, god, or the universe (i say all 3 combined as one logical mind) wouldn't do that to a person it just wouldn't be logical because we'd have "earned" it all. :-)

Life is a (personal) journey. Dance to your own music!
The world may not owe you anything but (you) owe yourself the world!
Do your best to have the best!

Know yourself....if you don't know who you are, then you won't know where you're going.

Love yourself...if you don't love yourself, you can't love others

Be yourself....be who you were meant to be. Live life on your terms, not on any one else's expectations, or you will have many regrets and likely not be happy.

Don't sweat the small stuff because in years to come no one will know anything about your mistakes.

I would say always be true to yourself. It is very important to accept you before accepting others and knowing who you really are is  a big part of any individual.
