Are women attracted to powerful men?

For centuries women have been attracted to rich and powerful men and/or very handsome men.
It's an animal instinct inherited from our DNA. Females are attracted to the biggest, most powerful males.
    What has changed?
Are many women currently claiming they were seduced by powerful males really just innocent babes?
Yes the law protects the innocent and minors but are former playboy models (for example) really so ignorant of their own attraction to powerful men?
Will such recent phenomena cause a further backlash from the extreme right as in the time of Hitler?
    Are men merely being demonized?

Do you have any idea how much you are letting you misogyny show by asking this question?  Just because men, powerful or not, are attracted to women, does not mean they can touch them.  Women dress and wear makeup to please themselves.  No matter how they look, men may not touch.  Women may think a man is attractive, but they do not just grab.
I do not think these women were "seduced".  I think it was more like "taken" against their will.  I have noticed in my life that powerful men think they can touch as they like and the women will be pleased to be noticed.  I am a tall, athletic woman.   As such I am harder to overpower than most. But, men have tried.  I keep to a no-touch attitude.
Please look at what you have written.  Can you see the victim blaming occurring?  Can you understand the problems with this question?  Is this question a joke?

The question states clearly "are women attracted to powerful men" not "are powerful men attracted to women".
What has changed in the last few weeks?

Sorry, I overlooked that.  I do think women are attracted to powerful men, but doesn't mean they want to be touched without consent.

      That's a totally different topic.
We agree then that women are very attracted to rich powerful men. This means they are likely to be seduced by a powerful man and later the "penny drops".

Generally speaking women are attracted to successful men and always will be. In fact one of the driving motivators for many men to become successful is their belief that they can attract beautiful women. Naturally this does not mean "every woman" has $$$ signs in her eyes as part of her "must have" list for men. If that were the case a lot of men would never have girlfriends or wives.
I believe what we're starting to see is an overcorrection with regard to sexual harassment allegations. There's clear and obvious harassment stories and then there are those that borderline on flirting, pickup lines, and using sexual innuendo towards someone who is uninterested or personally finds it offensive.
Just recently I read an story about a flight attendant who kept looking at a pilot because he reminder her of someone. By the time the plane landed she realized he reminded her of her father. She told the pilot and showed him her father's photo. The pilot told her: "It's been a long time since a girl your age called me (daddy)."
This flight attendant considered that to be sexual harassment!
Yes it was a sleazy flirtatious line from an old man towards a young woman but it's not in the same ballpark as exposing oneself, grabbing/groping someone, making sexual demands in order to get ahead in the workplace or a sexual assault.
Any man who has ever flirted and been rejected by a woman will start to wonder if they too have committed sexual harassment. It can be very subjective. If she felt the line was funny and thought you were cute (it's fine) and if she's not attracted to (you) it's offensive! A "pickup line" is a cheesy ice breaker not #MeToo.
In many ways we may be adding another rung to the "political correctness" ladder. Can winking & smiling at strangers be far behind as being considered sexual harassment actions?

      Well written.
      This is exactly the case.
In most Asian countries $$$ are the most important factor in attracting females. It's an accepted fact. That's way more than half the planet.

      Kari
Dashing was being ironic. Smiling at someone or winking is not sexual harrasment except in IS controlled areas.
