Gifts for the Bride To Be.

Updated on February 27, 2013

Gifts for the girl whose soon to be Wed.

When a woman is planning her wedding she's in a wonderful / terrible state- Looking forward to her wedding day and the joy of it on the one hand, dreading the details and scared of making mistakes on the other.

Getting a great gift for someone going through this trying / wonderful time can be a bit of a headache. What is appropriate? It's a tough question.

This Lens will give you some Tips on what to get the Bride to be before her big day. Hopefully it will keep you stress levels down too.

A small Digital camera makes a great gift.

It will help her keep track of all her 'wants'.

When planning a wedding, a bride visits tons of vendors, sites and stores that she'll want to remember. With a slim digital camera in her bag, she'll be able to snap away and remember her options later. The bride planning her wedding with a fiance or mother far away will doubly appreciate the easy ability to digitally share pictures for consideration. There are plenty of great point-and-click cameras on the market, and they are reasonably priced too.

Some other popular digital cameras

Something with her New Name on it.

Monogrammed anything makes a Unique Gift.

If a bride is changing her name, she'll appreciate getting towels, slippers, keepsake boxes, a robe, anything with her new initials on it. If she's not changing her name, similar items featuring the two initials for her and her fiance's last names will give hints of the new life she'll soon lead. She most likely won't have registered for monogrammed items - most registries that I know of don't have this option - so your gift will be unique. You can have just about anything monogrammed these days, so just ask. She'll appreciate the thought and you'll be the star.

A Honeymoon Themed Gift is a great way to go.

Something to use on the trip.

If you know where she's planning on honeymooning, she'll love a helpful guidebook on the spot, or appropriate accessories. She won't have registered for it, but it will be tremendously helpful. Use your imagination. If she's going to a hot spot, a basket with suntan lotions, cremes, etc' would be great, and a few luxurious beach towels too. Maybe Europe, in which case a Guide to the Top 10 Places to See would be an excellent idea, along with something appropriate for the season to wear.

A Photo Quilt is a neat idea.

And will give record precious memories.

A personal wedding gift that displays memorable moments, a photo quilt can be purchased through an online website or made by a hired professional quilter. You select the photos you want displayed on the handmade quilt as well as accent fabrics. Normally a quilt can hold up to 45 photos, which are printed onto fabric. Choose a quilt theme that displays all photos of your sister and her new husband or have a family quilt made that displays photos of your childhood together, leading up to more recent photos.

A Spa Gift will relax the Bride to Be.

Give the gift of relaxation and pampering with a Spa treatment gift package. There are so many different types you can choose friom, including a manicure, pedicure, facial, massage, body wrap, silk oil bath, waxing, haircut or hair coloring treatment. This gift can be given a day or so before the wedding to help you sister relax and put the finishing touches on her wedding day look. Another thoughtful option is to give a spa treatment that can be used for your sister and her husband on the honeymoon. You also can give her a gift certificate to a spa that can be used when she returns from her honeymoon.

Create a Memory Book for her.

It will be fun for you too.

If you have collected pictures over the years of the bride-to-be you can create a personalized memory book for her that she will cherish for years to come. Many online photo companies offer creative ways to use your pictures for gifts such as memory books, journals, calenders, daily schedulers, scrapbooks and even personalized stationary. You can also visit your local department store photo department as they usually offer personalized photo gift ideas. She will love looking back at the memories and remember you as the special person who made them for her.
