Definition of life is!

A human life is like that bubble who appears in water for one moment, merely to vanish the next .Human life may be compare with night because both born experience childhood, youth, old age and ultimately, both dies. This is the final story of mortal's entire life-night. Actually the world is a drama stage and we are all performing artists on it. After finishing his part one actor goes and another actor comes in show to perform his part on this stage. A human life is very short and we have very limited time and temporary body. Which is perishable. It may perish within mother's womb, immediately after birth, or it may perish after several years. One thing is sure our physique is fleeting hence ever changing. The change is the only truth of life and the whole universe is a mass of change. Nothing is permanent in life except change. A human life also changes of every moment of its existence and meet its end by going through four stages of life i.e. childhood, youth, mid-life and old age.

A human with four life stages

The Childhood-A golden era of life

A life begin when we were in the womb of our mother, for what is, generally, a period of nine months. Then we make entry in this world with closed eyes mewling and puking in the nurse arms. The whole world welcomes us with open arms and starts a golden era of our life “Childhood” always filled with sadness, joys, innocent mistakes, tears and toys. It’s amazing because there is no tension, no stress, and no wake up early and no problem in life. Every person misses his/her own old childhood days and childhood games. Childhood is the most beautiful of all life seasons. Then, Childhood passes into

The youth-On the move This is an enjoying stage as well as a learning period of every human life. The fullness of youth rises in him like waves in the storm, and tosses him around. Day and night, he is engrossed in lust. He takes chances and spends money on things he loves. He laughs till his stomach hurts, dance even he is too bad at it and poses stupidly for photos like child. He sees the world from his own different perspective and behaves differently in different situations. In short youth is a dream and we want it forever. Undoubtedly youth is a perpetual intoxication. The youth stage is also a very good platform to prepare him/her for next life journey. The next phase of human life is known as

The Middle age -Is a blessing in disguise Middle age is the period of age beyond young adulthood but before the onset of old age. The midlife is a normal developmental life stage intends to transform you into psychological and spiritual wholeness. The midlife is an opportunity for an awakening into a deeper spirituality or to know the Divine. But many people thinks it is a time to recapture his lost youth once again and focused on lust and material possessions, He gets entangled in worldly things and wants to accumulate only material wealth. Before one knows purpose of life, youth wears itself out, and old age triumphs

The old age -The winter stage of life The last stage of life. At this stage of the life-game, one's body grows old and weak, eyes go blind and cannot see, ears do not hear any words; tongue is unable to taste or speak. The white hair come and land upon the pool of the head, he lives only with the help of others .The intellect leaves us, and the wisdom departs. Death draws closer and closer. Shoulders are weighed down by the tyrant of old age and one day breath comes to its end. And he becomes stranger to whole world. As soon as he dies his identity become body. People use phrase like:"Bring the body”, and “take the body to the grave yard" etc. This is a proven fact that people even don't call him by his name whom he tried to impress his whole life. Everything becomes over and our physical body meets its end. But our soul never dies. It changes life forms just like one change cloths .There is also a life after death known as "Eternal Life". All the Prophets of God have dealt with this metaphysical question of life after death so confidently and so uniformly and called their people to worship God and to believe in life after death. Finally the views of all religions end at one conclusion that there exists a “Life after Death”.

Life after death!

Christian philosophy: life after death

Whilst there are diverse standard Christian convictions – Catholics, Protestants, the Baptists and other Christians, the core of Christian belief regarding the afterlife is that there's an afterlife, that conduct on earth. The overwhelming majority of Christians believe in the existence of heaven where believers get pleasure from the presence of God and it is believe that unbelievers or sinners are penalized in torment.

Christians also believe in purgatory, a brief place of penalization for Christians who have passed away with unconfessed sins. They believe in one god who is the Creator and Preserver of all things, infinite in being and perfection.

Islam:What happens afterlife

Muslims laid so much emphasis on the belief in life after death and believe that the present life is a trial in preparation for subsequent realm of existence. They are sure in life after death to such extent that even a slight doubt in it meant denying God and made all other convictions meaningless. They believe one day the entire cosmos will be decimated and the dead will be revived to stand before God. That day will be the start of a life that will never end, and on that day each individual will be paid by God as per his or her great or malicious deeds.

What do sikhs believe about the afterlife

Sikhs are very strong in their belief of reincarnation. And believe amalgamation of soul and body is termed life and separation of these two constitutes death. Sikhism believes the aim of human life is to re-unite with god. They accept the presence of paradise and hell-fire however; paradise and hell are conceived to reward and punish peoples according to their deeds. According to Sikh Gurus there are 8.4 million species and your soul goes through all of them. If you don't serve truth, and don't ponder on the "Shabad" (Word of God).

Hindu beliefs about life after death

Hindu methodology also believes in life after death. According to Hinduism when person die an estimation of a final karma (Deeds) is made for particular individual. And he/she reborn on this earth is solely depended on karma (Deeds) done in last birth. The good deeds lead to positive karma while bad deeds obviously lead to negative karma. The accumulated deeds are solely deciding factor regarding next birth and this process continue until soul become pure and attains salvation.

Buddhist view on death and rebirth

Buddhism, believe death isn't the close of life, it is only the finish of the form we possess in this life, and our spirit will attached to a brand new body and new life. They believe new birth solely depends on the resultant karma (cause and effect) of the past actions and person takes birth in one of 6 domains which are; paradise, people, Asura, ravenous phantom, creature and heck. Buddhists accept in any case, none of these spots are perpetual and one does not stay in anywhere inconclusively.

Therefore, in nutshell life in Buddhism doesn't finish, just goes on in different forms that are the consequence of collected karma. One shouldn't fear death because it can cause rebirth.

Lastly, in truth, nobody wants to die! We all want the physical body to survive forever. Hence we all beg God for long life. But death is a natural part of life. And no one has ever escaped it. The death is not the greatest loss in life. The loss is when you do not know the true meanings of life. Religion indicates that every human life is a game in itself. We come in this world to play and win this life game by developing noble qualities within it. Acquiring the Divine Knowledge and eradication of selfishness and greed ("I-ness") from within are the ultimate goals of every ideal human life.

Very interesting analysis of the stages of life. I enjoyed reading this. I also like that you gave the thoughts on after life for some of the different religions and philosophies. I thought all Indians believed in reincarnation, but I see it is only the Sikhs. That is interesting. I know a little of the eastern religious beliefs, but you have explained them so well here. Thanks for an interesting and informative hub! Glad to see you writing here. You are a good writer.
