Recipe for a happy marriage

Updated on September 11, 2013

Want to learn the secret recipe for a happy marriage? You're at the right place! Your marriage is one of the relations in your life which requires understanding, care, shouldering responsibilities and love. Just like you work to keep everything alright, your partner does too. So you should understand his/her perspective and pay importance to that while you are discussing. Here are some recipes or rather some ways to help you maintain a happy life.

Pay Attention

Often after a tiring day, you do not pay attention to what your partner is doing. This is really bad considering the fact that maybe your partner is tired like you, but have taken the responsibility to set things right which you are not doing. The least you can do is to listen to him/her and give your advice on these matters. If you are too tired to even listen to him/her, tell her/him politely to discuss the topic the next day.

After an argument, apologize...

Apologizing does not mean that you are at fault. But it means that you value your relationship more than your ego. No matter who has started the argument, you have failed to keep cool during it, or else it would not have resulted in an argument. So, if you think that you are not at fault, think of that as a cause and apologize. Your partner will be happy with you.

What keeps your marriage together?

Spend some quality time with each other

It is true that both of you have responsibilities to take care of. At the same time, it is also true that you are trying to bring back that spark in your relationship. So, try and spend some time with only your partner, to make him/her feel special. You can go out for a dinner or you can prepare something special in your house. The choice depends on you.

Do not keep secrets

Secrets are not only bad for health but also bad for relationships. You are partners for life and should share your happiness as well as your sadness with each other. Keeping secrets or information from each other will only result in loss of trust which can be fatal for your relationship.

Surprise gifts are a great idea

Everyone loves to have a gift and if that gift is a surprise, that adds to the charm of the gift. Once in a while bring small gifts for your partner so that both of you are happy. These factors when correctly implemented in your life are bound to provide good results.

Nice and practical suggestions for a happy marriage!

Marriages last longer, if there is mutual trust and understanding, no ego clashes and healthy communication in case of arguments, which can happen in any case.

      Well done and Voted up!
