Wedding Planning Can Be Fun
Wedding Planning Takes Time!
You have taken the big step, found the right partner and congratulations - you're engaged! That might have seemed like the biggest decision about getting married until it's time to plan "The Wedding". Wedding planning can be so much fun can also be a crazy, head spinning time, with tons of decisions to make and the reality of planning for a wedding really kicks in.
Some weddings are to coordinated months if not years in advance of the big day and it seems as though you have lots of time until the Brides and Grooms and their families really get going on the millions of decisions that have to be made. Where to have the wedding, how big should the wedding be, how much can we afford and who is paying for what top the lists of big decisions on the wedding planning list. Of course part of planning the big day is choosing which one of your relatives and friends will be in your bridal party and escort you down the aisle.
Christmas is a wonderful time to get engaged and some say 25% of people who get engaged are proposed to on Christmas. That means after a couple of months of excitement, showing off the ring and telling all your friends and relatives, now it's time to set "The Date". Valentine's Day is the official day of love and sharing in February. Filled with hearts and romance, sharing and caring. And wedding proposals. It is said that almost 10% of couples that get engaged each year are proposed to on Valentine's Day. That means it's time to plan the wedding!
So Much Wedding Planning To Do
Because a wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it's no wonder that February is National Wedding Month. No matter when you got engaged it's the perfect month to remind you about romance, love, hearts and vows. All that love reminds you that it's time to start planning every aspect of the wedding - from the wedding dress, the DJ or Band, choosing the centerpieces for the tables, tuxedos for the guys, photographers, the church and even your wedding themes and colors. It's time to organize your thoughts and to start making a plan. You have to have a plan!
On top of the wedding party plan is choosing and ordering your bridal gown so there will be time for alterations. You will also have to pick out dresses for the bridesmaids, maid of honor, matron of honor, the flower girl and of course the mother of the bride and groom.
Bands and DJ's are booked sometimes over a year in advance so it's time to get out there and hear what they have to offer so you can get your entertainment package booked.
You will also have to decide about a photographer. You might also want to have a videographer record the day's nuptials and reception afterwards. Time to sit down and take a look at their photo galleries and see who will capture your memories just the way you would love to see them years from now.

Unity Candles Tradition
The bride and groom each take a lit candle and simultaneously light a third larger "unity candle." They may blow out their individual lights, or leave them lit, symbolizing that they have not lost their individuality in their unity. Stores are now selling elaborate unity candle setups, including a candleabra that holds the central unity candle higher than the others. You may also have your unity candle personalized with your names and the date, allowing it to be a keepsake from your wedding. Once thought of as a Christian wedding tradition, now brides and grooms of all religions and mixed faiths are lighting these traditional candles for the beauty of its symbolism.

Choosing a Theme For Your Wedding
Some couples like to choose a theme for their wedding. Beach weddings are very popular these days but some couples will choose anything from Disney Princess Weddings or sport theme weddings or a hobby or activity that they share. A theme may be a color, a flower, a special something to the Bride and Groom. I have seen "Elvis" weddings, Pirate weddings and of course, Firefighter weddings where the bride arrives on a fire truck delivered to her waiting husband to be firefighter and guests.
The idea is to have fun, enjoy your party and include your guests in that joy.
Wedding Guest Books
Wedding guest books are a wonderful way for family, friends and guests to leave a special note for the happy couple bringing back great memories years later. You can choose from classic white contemporary guest books or more modern ideas like post cards, memo notes or adorable envelopes with matching note paper in a color coordinated guest book.
More wonderful decisions to add those special touches to your special day.
Guest books can be plain and simple white, silver plated or very possibly available in a theme that matches your wedding day
Some classic songs that will get your guests up and dancing
Dance Party music classics fun for all ages
The Music and Wedding Reception Entertainment
Big decisions and more really big decisions! The music, the entertainment, the dancers, which songs! Starting with will you choose a DJ or a band or even just piped in music for a smaller reception. Some weddings feature seven piece bands with live music, singers and dancers. Others choose a DJ with or without additional entertainers to get your guests up and partying on the dance floor.
Even after you decide that there are decisions like will you have an organ player or instrumental during the wedding ceremony too? What about the huge decision of what song will play while the bridal party walks down the aisle and of course, what dramatic, classical or modern tune will make the guests all take notice when the Bride walks down the aisle. These are big decisions.
To top that off, the Bride and Groom have to choose their special song. The one that kicks off the wedding reception. Their special moment in time when they dance together as husband and wife.
Then there's months and months of planning the songs that will be playing all reception long. Love songs for nice slow dances, party music to get your guests dancing and singing along with you. Every successful wedding no matter how big or small needs some great music and entertainment to have your crowd talking about your big day forever!
Flower Girl and Junior Bridesmaids
Formal Girl Party Dress for Junior Bridesmaids and Flower Girl Dresses are usually just as adorable as the girls wearing them and add that special oooh and ahhh as they walk down the aisle. Adorable dresses can match the bridesmaids or a white dress with a matching sash or bow is the perfect adornment to your beautiful wedding party.
For these younger girls your wedding will be a memory of a lifetime that will last forever.
