Four Reasons Why You Cannot Land A Second Date

Updated on December 29, 2012

First Dates

Going on first dates is exciting but many people cannot land a second date. If you want to know why you cannot land a second date, and you would like to know how to land a second date, then check out these four reasons that could be stopping you from getting that second date.

You Talk Too Much

Stop talking yourself up because it is not doing you any favors. Not only is talking about yourself too much not doing you any favors but it is also probably one of the major reasons why you cannot land a second date. This is an easy fix though. When you are on a first date, try to keep your mouth shut for a few minutes and let your date speak about themselves for a bit. You will be surprised at how many people just talk and brag and talk and brag about themselves throughout the entire first date. If you want to get a second date, then allow your date to talk as much as you. If you want to know how to land a second date, then stop talking too much.

You Act Like Moneybags

If you have a lot of money, or even if you don't, do not act like moneybags on your first date, especially if you want to land a second date. Keep the first date nice and simple. You do not need to flash cash every chance you get, nor do you need to be dropping $100 bills in expensive shops, at least not on your first date. Contrary to popular belief, this type of behavior can put a lot of people off, and this hampers your chances of landing a second date. It's quite simple, if you want to know how to land a second date, then don't drop loads of cash on your first date.

You Can't Stay Off Of Your Cellphone

Nothing impresses a date more than you being on your cellphone. Got a text message? Who cares if you are on a first date, just read it and then engage in a text message conversation for about ten minutes. Is your friend calling your cellphone, then feel free to pick it up and chat with them for twenty minutes while your date sits their feeling awkward. You get the point. If you want to know how to land a second date, then stay off of your phone unless it is an emergency.

You Love Talking About Your EX

If you are not over your ex, then do not try to date. If you go on a first date, and you find yourself talking about your ex nonstop, then you can bet that your chances of landing a second date are very slim to none. If you want to know how to land a second date, then stop talking about your ex so much, especially when its only the first date.

If you want to land a second date, then stop doing the above four things and your chances will increase greatly.
