Jesus Is There When Loved Ones Hurt You

Updated on May 17, 2013

Jesus Is There When Loved Ones Hurt You

At times loved ones may sometimes hurt you deeply

But in their heart that may not have been their plan.

They may feel that they have been hurt or slighted

Like a child they may strike back any way that they can.

They may not have the Lord Jesus in their heart,

And forgiveness without God can be so hard to do.

Sometimes rifts in ones family hurt each one greatly

But with the love of Jesus you can make it through!

Your new church family cares for you so very much

For each hurt that someone tries to send your way.

You are part of us and our love will always intertwine

With prayer in all that you ever can do or say !

Your new brothers and sisters love you so dearly,

Not the family relations of which you are a part

But the family of God that you now have received

When you asked The Lord Jesus into your heart.

He will never leave you nor will He ever forsake you

When trials and troubles seem to come your way.

Sometimes when it seems there is really no answer,

With love all we should do and can do is just pray!

This was written a few years ago for a girl

who was gong to our church at the time. She

was having a very hard time with her family

through no fault of hers , I don't think that

any of us realized at the time how bad the

situation was at the time , but in a short time

the family was split apart and each one

went their own way,That often happens when

the devil gets his foot in the door,May God

Bless that girl !

Thank you , Blossom, for your comment, I wrote this some years ago when the girl that I wrote it for had a bad home situation and like I said it broke the whole family up , the girls were innocent of any wrong doing but they suffered because of their mothers mistakes. It's too bad that parents don't see how their wrong doings often affects the whole family. At times there can be no turning back, and that is so sad. love, clara

A very thoughtful poem. It is true that we can often cause rifts by misreading situations and then the harm has been done. As St. Paul warned us, the tongue is the most unruly member of our bodies.
