" Faye's Daily Words of Encouragement # 379 Today's Word Is :Food"

Updated on December 1, 2010

"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 379 Today's Word Is : Food"

Definition of the word Food : Which means any substance that nourishes; or something that stimulates, as food for thought or material eaten to sustain life.

Genesis chapter 3 - 6 : And when the women saw that the tree was good for food  and that it was pleasant to the eyes and a tree to be desired to make one wise; she too of the fruit thereof and did eat and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Psalms chapter 78 - 25 : Man did eat angels food : he sent them meat to the full.

Psalm's chapter 136 - 25 : Who giveth food to all flesh for his ,mercy endureth forever.

Proverbs chapter 6 - 8 : Provideth her meat in the summer and gathereth her food in the harvest.

Proverbs chapter 31 - 14 : She is the merchants ships; she bringeth her food from a far.

2 Corinthians chapter 9 - 10 : Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food and multiply your seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

1 timothy chapter 6 - 8 :And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

James chapter 2 - 15 : If a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food.

Today's daily word of encouragement word is Food: Which means any substance  that nourishes the body or something that stimulate or material eaten to sustain life or food for thought. The bible tells us" and having food and raiment, let us be therewith content" which means as long as we have food and clothing to put on our backs; we should be happy and content, but  of course we're not, because we always want more.

We can also ingest the bread of life , which is considered spiritual food, which is the word of God .We all have to nourish our fleshly bodies with natural food to live and spiritual food to live godly lives. The phrase food for thought is nourishment for our minds and bodies.

There is so much and enough food for our soul but do we use it properly? I don't think so.

One of my favorite words! I am amazed at how God provides for my large family. We are never without food! We may not be eating steak and lobster, but we are definately being nourished.

Very good daily word during this season Faye! And it is so true how God's word is food for our spirit. And hopefully during this holiday season we will all keep this in mind, and thus be found in thanksgiving always for the spiritual feast we can enjoy everyday in the pages of His word. As well may we keep in mind that just as without natural food our physical bodies cannot sustain, so we must eat of His word to sustain that spiritual life Christ has freely given us.

I hope your Thanksgiving was and is wonderful Faye, and that your days are filled with God's bountiful feast. And may His Grace and Mercy be with you as we celebrate the birth of Christ who brought them to us all!

Glad to be a new fan~Robert
