2-Man vs Scripture - The Bastard Curse in The Age of Christ
2-Man vs Scripture - The Bastard Curse in The Age of Christ
Many in the church system teach that the bastard curse applies to christians, but DOES IT?
If you look online you will see hundreds of articles on the bastard curse but does that mean it is for disciples of Christ in this His age of rulership?
Please Read this Before we Begin. Here we teach scriptural truths that are not taught most places. These are essential truths that you cannot be a real disciple of Christ without properly understanding.
Because of this fact you must follow the scripture “do not be deceived my beloved brethren” and see that YOU are not deceived. In order to not be deceived you must not believe what I or any other man wants to teach you unless and until it has been confirmed in scripture and by the Holy Spirit of God to you Personally as Truth. That is your responsibility no matter who is teaching you
The writer will answer for what he writes but only YOU will answer for what YOU believe.
Where does this curse appear in scripture
WE find this curse first appears in DEUT 23
Deut 23:2 2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
KJV
Deut 23:2 2 "One of illegitimate birth shall not enter the assembly of the Lord; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the Lord.
It appears no place else in scripture.
The very fact that it appears only once in scripture should be a warning to not make a doctrine of it.
Now we have found in scripture where it was given we can check the context and meaning and correct usage of this order,
We find that this was given to the Israelites in the law of Moses as one of the rules forbidding a person to enter the assembly of God. It talks of the ban, reason and length of the ban.
Now because this is taken from the law we need to look at the purpose and time frame for the law of Moses according to scripture. We know that The law was given ONLY to the Israelites and ONLY for a limited period of time. By doing this we can determine if this can be applied to us in the age in which we live. See my article on the ages of man if you do not know about the different ages.
The Law and Commandments are Given to Moses for the People
Now we will look at scripture as God gives to Moses the commandments and the laws that are to govern Israel during the the age of the Israelites.
The Call to be a special people, the people of God, came with, as do all things in God, Conditions. I am well aware that most of what professes to be of God these days teach that there are no conditions on what God Gives, but that is a bold faced lie.
These conditions as shown below are very specific.
Seldom have I heard the importance of these conditions mentioned other than in passing, but they are a key part of the covenant that God makes with them. “ Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."
See it, if they want to enjoy the fruit of this covenant with God and become HIS SPECIAL people they must obey God's voice and Keep all the rules. If they do not then they WILL NOT become God's Special People. A very important condition as we will see later in art 3, that they did not meet.
Ex 19:1-6 In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai. 2 For they had departed from Rephidim, had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Israel camped there before the mountain. 3 And Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: 4 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself. 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."
Ex 24:3-8 So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, "All the words which the Lord has said we will do." 4 And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord. And he rose early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel. 5 Then he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord. 6 And Moses took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. 7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, "All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient." 8 And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, "This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according to all these words."
And the people all agreed to the BLOOD Covenant and were bound to it.
Note here that contrary to what many teach the Commandments ARE given together with the law and they are inseparable. The commandments, as is the law, are given solely to the Israelites.
Ex 24:9-18 Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, 10 and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity. 11 But on the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they ate and drank. 12 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them." 13 So Moses arose with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of God. 14 And he said to the elders, "Wait here for us until we come back to you. Indeed, Aaron and Hur are with you. If any man has a difficulty, let him go to them." 15 Then Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain. 16 Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel. 18 So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
If you will go to the internet and look at the churches and “teachers?”, hundred of pages of them that teach about this false doctrine of the bastard curse being part of today's church system. They show many pages of scripture that they say support this single verse and not one of their verses can be legitimately connected to that single verse.
Conclusion
There is no such thing in this age as “the bastard curse. It is like so many other “church system doctrines”, the false fruit of apostate man. The many hundreds of articles supporting this false doctrine can not be supported with scripture in context and correctly applied, they are using the Name of the Lord in vain, misuse of scripture to establish a false doctrine by apostate man.
We also have seen that the 10 commandments are part of the law and applied only to Israel during the age of Israel.
When Jesus established this current age, of the rule of Christ, all things became new, nothing was carried forward from the rules governing earlier ages of man.
The “church system of man” cannot be trusted to lead you to Christ, only Christ or a real disciple of Christ, filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit of God can do that, because they are the only one He gave the authority to make disciples to.
DO NOT be Deceived my beloved brethren.
