2012 and Armageddon

I have done some research between the 2012 phenomenon and Armageddon as well as the different between the two.

According to the Mayan in what is now Mexico, they have predicted a range of eschatological beliefs and proposals, which posit that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur on or around December 21 in the year 2012, which is said to be the end-date of a 5,125-year-long Mayan Long Count calendar. Their beliefs may derive in part from archaeoastronomical speculation, alternative interpretations of mythology, numerological constructions, or alleged prophecies from extraterrestrial beings.

The bible have predicted that Armageddon is fought in the "hill of Megiddo" and other geographic locations such as "the valley of Jehoshaphat" and "the valley of the passengers", that battle is fought between Jesus Army and the army that the Beast-False Prophet along with the ten kingdom federation of nations under the Beast as well as with Russia and her allies, the Asiatic peoples from beyond the Euphrates River, and the north African power.

The only thing that different between the two is that the 2012 phenomenon result in disaster while Armageddon did not end in disaster.

When Evangelist John writes the Book of Revelation on the Island of Patmos, he predict that there will be a great tribulation that last for seven years under the beast with his false prophet , the second coming of the Messiah will occurred after the great tribulation to bring a thousand years of peace under his rule, the imprisonment of Satan until he is 'loosed' for the final rebellion in which God final judgment over Satan, the great white throne judgment and the creation of the new heaven and the new earth.
