2014 Predictions Year of the Horse
Chinese Zodiac 2014 Forecast
The Chinese Zodiac is not based on the stars. Rather it is based on a cycle of life force energy (qi) that has a sixty year cycle. In the same way that the earth has climate seasons, so it seems that the type of life energy that is on the earth at a particular time has different qualities. When one is born in a particular time, then the life energy (qi) that is in that place at that time infiltrates one's body at birth. So, for instance, if one is born in the year of the rabbit (which makes you a somewhat timid person) and it is the zodiac Year of the Rooster, because the character and personality attributes of the Rabbit person clashes with those of the Rooster person, and because the Qi in that year is not good for the Rabbit, the Rabbit does not have a good year. However, knowing in advance what the energy of a particular year will be, and knowing what one's own energy is, one can work out how to negotiate it. And that's how Chinese astrology works.
12 Animal Signs of the Chinese Zodiac
There are twelve animal signs in the year of the zodiac, and rather than give you all the years so that you can determine which animal you are, I'm going to ask you to click the text box picture on the side to take you to another site so that you can establish that. Once you know which animal you are, then you can scroll down to your animal and find out how your year will be.
Just so that you know, I don't know anyone on that site but I think it's a quick and easy way to determine your animal if you don't know it.
How Lucky Charms Work in the Chinese Zodiac
The Chinese have been learning and observing Qi (chi) for close on 3000 years. They use it in decoring and building their homes and businesses, in their medicine, and in friendships and marriages. In all these areas they are trying to balance the current year's life force with the energy of the individual and the energy of the place where they are. For instance, the type of energy that comes from sitting alongside the seashore is different to the kind of energy that emits from being on top of a mountain peak.
They, therefore, have very strict rules about empty space, the placement of items, and what the items are made of. One of the items they use a lot is Jade. The reason they use Jade is that the material is able to absorb and emit Qi so that the placement of it can harness Qi that does not work for the individual. In order to 'activate' it, it's best to wear Jade on oneself. That way it absorbs one's own life energy and when it comes up against a conflicting life force, it repels it. When used in the home, it's best to touch the item continually so that it absorbs the dominant Qi in the home. That way, when there's a year when there's incompatible Qi, it can withstand it.
When it's a bad year ahead, best to have some Jade in the home and/or office, or, better still, wear it.
This is a stunning ring! Soo good.
2014 Predictions for those born in the Year of the Ox
The next Chinese lunar year will not be a comfortable one for the Ox. Can you imagine a horse and an ox or cow in a race? Right.
Unhappily, because Qi energy of the Horse year is one of rapid, unexpected change, the ox with its love of slow and steady will find itself constantly caught unawares. As a result of the Horse year, a business may suddenly change direction and the person born in the year of the ox might find herself without a job or with the choice of either being promoted to a job away from loved ones or not having a job at all. It's going to be that kind of year.
So how to mitigate the effects? Well, the second half of the year will be better than the first as there are Qi climate also tends to change over the year. So that's something to look forward to. For the rest, it's a matter of forwarned is forearmed. You know it's going to year with too much happening. Plan not to get involved and just take time out and make cautious decisions.
2014 Forecasts for those born in the Year of the Rat
The Rat is going to be somewhat challenged during 2014 Year of the Horse because they're about as diametrically opposite to each other as two signs can be. So it's going to need to be a year of vigilance as the Rat's need for security is at odds with the Horse's love of risk. So it's not a year to make or take loans, get engaged, relocate to another country, start a business, or anything else that involves a risk or six.
The year will be stressful because there'll be lots of happening all around and he'll want to be part of it all. Only it's a lot faster than his normal pace, and that will leads to mistakes. Best for the rat to focus on a double dose of safety this year and invest in a quiet life for the year.
This is my choice. Green is one of my favorite colors and I love elegance. This to me encompasses both. And it's lucky? No brainer!
Predictions 2014 for those born in the Year of the Tiger
Well someone had to score! And the Tiger is it. Fabulous year ahead! Tiger and horse life energy is compatible so it's no wonder that the Year of the Horse will be a good one of dynamic tigers. All work will be well rewarded with fame possibly sticking its head in for those who seek it and work in that world. There could be lucky inheritances and significant travel with compatible people. There could be loads of weddings, newborn babes, and parties, parties, and more parties.
Should you be thinking of marriage, then this is a good year to do so as it will be blessed by the life force itself. It is, simply put, a year of abundance for this cat of many stripes.
Chinese Zodiac vs Western Zodiac
Chinese Astrology is very different to Western Astrology. Qi has been studied for more than 3000 years. It makes sense that if there is a life force and if people born at a particular time breathe in the life force of a particular type, that they will have those characteristics for the rest of their lives...
Forecasts for those born in the Year of the Rabbit
The Rabbit is off to a good start after the past two years being somewhat less than perfect. It's a year for finally putting into those plans which have been on hold while the year of the dragon and the year of the water snake have passed. Luck will be there in ample abundance but a bid of jade never did anyone any harm! Just call me superstitious on that one because I'm a Rabbit - a metal rabbit.
As socialibility and glamour are a big time part of this individual's nature, and as the horse is everywhere at once, this will be a super paced year for the friendly - if homeloving - rabbit. Parties in paradise and the oportunity to flourish financially. That, of course, is the rabbit's first love - making money.
The Mighty Dragon in the Year of the Wood Horse
The dragon has had two very good years, so maybe it will make up for the fact that the next year will be one of loss. As dragons can be pretty explosive when not getting their own way, and as they are not going to be getting their way during the rapidly changing year ahead, it's best for them to do some inner work during the year. It's not a bad time to do an anger management course.
Everybody has years where the Qi works for them; and everybody has years when it doesn't. The best way to handle a year where the chi (Qi) does not work well for one is to slow one's pace, expect less, work a little harder, withdraw from social life a bit, and prepare for the year after.
Predictions for those born during the Year of the Snake
Um! It's one of those mixed-bag years. Bring on the Jade - plenty of it. Feng Shui your house and your office, car, and everywhere you go. You're going to need some help to negotiate the fast moving pace, but because you have a good mind, you're going to be able to anticipate events and divert them before they reach you. You're into damage control this year, and if you do it right, you're going to come out ahead.
This is a year to take a sabbatical if necessary or simply surround yourself with friends for the extra support needed to handle a pace that's not quite as fast as your own.
Born in the Year of Horse? What a great year!
You've got it made. Gallop as fast as you like and you'll reach the end of the journey, grab the goods, and be off to your next grand adventure. You're in your element and you can move as fast as you like because the energy of life is supporting you. You'll be happy and lucky and partying and making money and getting it right with the best of them.
When the glory hits (and it will) take a bow, and remember to leave some over for next year. Don't consume all the glory and piles of treasure this year. The future needs to be taken care of, and you'll be in a position this year to put something away for tomorrow.
Born in the Year of the Sheep Forecast
It's a year that will take a little bit more work than usual. And as the sheep is not inclined to drop the lesser important activities and obligations, it can be a year of overload. Thus, in order for it to be a year without anxiety and stress, there needs to be a calculated decision not to be over-committed to anything and anyone.
If the sheep can hold back on a feeling that everything needs to be done when there isn't sufficient time to do it all, it can be a good year.
Quick Poll on Astrology
Have you ever studied any form of astrology?
Monkey Forecast in 2014 Year of the Horse
To use an analogy, the monkey will be learning to swing from branch to branch at a more rapid pace than he is accustomed to, and he will fall a couple of times. That said, the monkey is a versatile creature and can adapt to almost anything. There'll be less time to use that agile brain to get the answers, but it's good practice, and there's a lot to gain in 2014.
Perhaps the one thing the monkey needs to look out for is moving on rapidly when he's missed the branch. The lesson for the years is, "Pick yourself up. Get yourself going. And watch the success!
Rooster Booster - Born in the year of the Rooster
If you're born in the year of the Rooster, the tenth sign in the lunar cycle, you're one of a kind when it comes to the speeding horse. You, alone, have the power to influence the horse and make him slow down. You'll be doing yourself a favor, of course, but others need to gallop full speed ahead, so for the sake of balance, it's not a good thing to stop the horse.
You and the mighty horse both like to get things done. You need closure when you've started something. So the two of you are mighty taskers. We're talking about you when we say, "If you want something done, give it to a busy person."
This is the year you get to do as much as you would like to do. You also use that inner wisdom of yours to figure out where the path is going to lead, and then you obey your good sense and don't go that way - even if the horse is galloping at break neck speed in that direction!
Born in the Year of the Dog
This is a wonderful year for those of Doggie disposition. They will get on well because the horse energy and the dog energy are compatible. All sorts of things will be happening to the Dog this year - lots of travel, meeting new people, and differing opportunities for both work and play. In fact, it might all be a bit too much so because the dog will be spoilt for choice this year, it's probably best to select the highlights and go with the most profitable or the ones that will make you happiest.
Yes, there might be a challenge or two if you overload, so be aware of the folk wisdom that says not to bite off more than you can chew...
Born in the Year of the Bore
2014 will not be a boring year.
This is going to be a good year in terms harmony, new beginnings and lot of inner growth. It will be a year of confidence, happiness, and despite the speed of the horse, the boar will be able to keep pace and not notice at all.
The inner work will come about as a result of there being free to do so, and the year is a good time to take an extended vacation as it will work very positively in your favor. There'll be more wealth around and with your generous spirit, it's a good thing to share some of it.
