Modern Day Magi

Updated on September 3, 2017

Genesis 1:14 (KJV)
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

The magi demonstrated that you don't have to be a prophet in order to foresee prophetic events with important implications. How accurate the magi of old were is unclear, but we do know they were able to determine the birth of the New King within a few years, and caused the need for the young Jesus to flee into Egypt to avoid being killed, and then migrate to Nazareth, fulfilling important prophesy. An outstanding record for any magi of the day, all from prophetic scripture.

Jesus Christ's second coming, like His first, can not be determined with absolute accuracy, but within a particular generation, and at the end of this current age. Just as His approaching Birth was anticipated, so must His coming in the clouds with power also be anticipated. May we take up the serious work of the magi, and prepare.

28 months till Tribulation?

There is an important anomaly concerning the end of a 6,000 year timetable. No matter what signs and wonders we might point to as fulfilled prophecy, the end of that 6,000 years will arrive around the year 2027. This determines that the tribulation should start around 2020. As we ponder the correlation between these 6,000 years with the 6 days of creation, our priorities might be impacted.

God's long suffering grace should abate around the end of this decade, allowing dreadful tribulation throughout the final 7 years of this age. Theologians, Eschatology students and all other interested parties, are encouraged to review this text for their constructive comments. No new prophecy is implied here.

Let us agree, and pray, that the Holy Spirit open our hearts, and minds, for discernment between good, and evil, truth in scripture, and false teaching. Amen.

2 Peter 3:8 (KJV)
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

1,000 man-years = 1 God-day, where 6 God-days of creation + 7th God-day of rest = 7,000 man-years. The 7th God-day of rest strongly correlates to what is referred to as the "Millennium" found in The Book of Revelation in its last 3 chapters = 1,000 man-years, and begins at the end of the 6,000th man-year(6th God-day of creation), spanning man's mortality from his garden expulsion to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 20:4-6 (KJV)
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a
thousand years.

From that point in time when Adam was expelled form the garden, he was assured to live less than one more God-day(1,000 man-years) of his otherwise immortal life while in the garden, having enjoyed access to the "Tree of Life"(life everlasting). That Adam should die within that same God-day(1,000 man-years) for disobeying God. Once being denied access to the "Tree of Life"(life everlasting) he died after living 930 man-years, 70 man-years short of one full God-day(1,000 man-years), by virtue of losing access to the "Tree of Life"(life everlasting), providing perfect confirmation of 2 Peter 3:8, quoted above.

The Millennium Day of Rest

Genesis 2:17 (KJV)
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

After the end of the first 1,000 man-years(first God-day), in which Adam dies, and 3,000 additional man-years(3 additional God-days), totaling 4,000 man-years(4 God-days), Jesus' Resurrection as Savior, ushers in the beginning of the last 2,000 man-years(last 2 God-days), totaling 6,000 man-years(6 God-days). This brings us to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and the end of man's toil under the curse, and the return of access to the tree of life, after 6,000 years since man's first sin.

The Millennium Day of Rest, described in the last 3 chapters of the Book of Revelation, adds 1,000 man-years(1 God-day), totaling 7,000 man-years(7 God-days) since the fall of man, till the final judgment day.

Genesis 3:17 (KJV)
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Now consider what will happen 6,000 man-years(6 God-days) after the garden expulsion when Satan is bound, and the Millennium Day of rest results during the 7,000th man-year(7th God-day), the day of rest.

Genesis 2:2-3 (KJV)
2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Mankind is denied access to the tree of life for 6,000 man-years(6 God-days), that being from the time of man's first sin until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Mankind is once again granted access to the tree of life at the beginning of the 7,000th man-year(7th God-day), the day of rest.

Genesis 2:9 (KJV)
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 3:22-24 (KJV)
22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

And so, it is made plain that Adam enjoyed life everlasting by virtue of having access to the tree of life, and that man's mortality began when he lost access to that tree. It was because of that first sin that immortality for man ended, and the curse over the earth began. Now it happens that after 6,000 man-years(6 God-days) later, upon the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the tree of life is returned with its power of immortality, and no more curse over the earth is found. This is the beginning of the 7,000th man-year(7th God-day), the day of rest. A thousand man years of rest for our Lord God, and the earth when "his servants shall serve him".

Revelation 22:1-3 (KJV)
1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

The exact time of Christ's Second Coming has been decreed by God to be withheld, but we must heed God's timetable concerning His will as it relates to man to arrive around the time of these events. Believe it or not, one thing cannot be disputed, there are only a few years left till the end of 6000 years from the fall of man to the second coming of Christ, representing a one in all of eternity milestone, not to be repeated. Are we ready?

Matthew 24:32-51 (KJV)
32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Understand that the Gregorian calendar begins approximately 6 years after the event of Jesus' birth, making the actual start date for the Gregorian calendar 6 AD. I use a minus 6 year adjustment as the mean value between the 4-8 years argued among the most astute theologians dealing with the subject of Christ's actual birth date. But Jesus had always existed. The more key event, that being Christ's Crucifixion and Resurrection, around 33 years after his birth, 27 AD as adjusted for Jesus Christ's actual birth date of around 6 years earlier, more or less, marked the end of the 4,000th man-year(4th God-day). This places the end of the 6,000th man-year(6th God-day) around the year 2027 AD(the Second Coming of Christ) instead of the year 2000 AD. Subtracting seven years from 2027 AD arrives at the beginning of the Great Tribulation around the year 2020 AD.

All of man's era of enlightenment has fallen within these 6,000 man-years(6 God-days). Before this, Adam walked immortal with God. The 6,000 man-year clock started ticking once Adam ate from the forbidden tree, and for the first time man faces mortality.

Faith is the miracle of which we ourselves perform, as demonstrated by our good works, and empowered by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All doubt is answered through His loving grace.

For the sake of welcoming the Holy Spirit for guidance: pray without ceasing, honor Jesus Christ's command to love one another, do good works, and sin no more. Amen

      Dear C.J. Sledgehammer,

I would love to write more hubs, but I'm still honing this message in hopes to establish its meaning. There has to be a simpler way of framing my thoughts.

I believe 2 Peter 3:8 and other passages are keys, allowing us once again to witness how God creates the end from the beginning. Its not only that we should find a correlation between the 6 days of creation and our 6,000 years of past history, but that the 7th day of rest is found within the last 3 chapters of The Book of Revelation. I believe it important for more complete understanding of this highly complex book.

      Dear brother Vladimir,

The ancient Hebrew Sabbath and other Holy occasions were observed using a luni-solar calendar. It resets with every new-moon. Between each new-moon are 4 Sabbaths, the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th day, then upon the following new-moon, it begins again. To keep the Holy observances seasonal, an additional month was periodically added, but the Sabbath by itself only needs the new-moon.

There is so much on this, but consider the two links below to begin exploring. I'd love to have a fellow explorer concerning all things GOD!

I've explored with others prolifically in places. I came here for one purpose, to point to the outstanding fact that the end of the 6th Creation Day of God(6,000 mortal-man years while under the curse)is not far away. Ask yourself, isn't 6,000 years living with this curse over the earth long enough?

I am not one for numbers, so I would make a lousy mathematician. There are many people who love to play the number's game, but all it does is confuse my delicate "mem-brain".

I have changed my understanding of eshcatology a number of times over the years as new information comes in and older theories are proved wrong. The Lord told us to knock, seek and ask, but he did not say truth would come easy.

Just in the last two years my entire understanding and belief in the "end times" underwent a dramatic change.

I will just say that I think that the popular belief of the day is way off-target, and it is difficult for us "Westerners" to understand the incredible events that were unfolding before the very eyes of the early Christian church from where we now sit - 10,000 miles away and 2,000 years into the future.

From this "disadvantage point", many well-meaning and faithful people come to some startling conclusions.

Better run for now, but in the meantime keep on fighting the good fight and keep looking up!

Best wishes and be well - C.J. Sledgehammer

I'm of one mind with you in what you've said. I like to put forth this disclaimer, that the belief that Jesus Christ is coming back in the current generation, has been a common practice of every generation since the Resurrection. We want to believe that we are so important to God, that Jesus' second coming must occur during our lifetime. It's how vanity raises it's ugly head.

Having forwarded that disclaimer, let me point out that the end of 6,000 years is right around the corner and never again will occur again. Might you agree this point is something to look at? There is one theory that supports Jesus' birth to have occurred 500 years earlier, splitting the 7,000 years in half. My only problem with this is, if you divide 7,000 by 2, wont that fragment the Millennium? It has to be 1,000 years long to be a millennium, so I must reject the thought of a geometric balance in time.

You put a lot of thought into this Hub, rdcast, and I commend you for caring enough about the Almighty and His Son that you would study Scripture...not many people do.

Even though I have followed Christ for many years and commonly pour over Scripture, I cannot say that I have come to the same conclusions that you have.

Eschatology is one of those disciplines where it is common for 1,000 serious students to have 1,000 different theories. In the end, I think most of them hold very little water.

The danger, however, is thinking oneself to have all the answers and in doing so, allows pride to gain a foot hold. I am not saying that you have done this, only that it is a common practice.

Case in point, I have a neighbor that is so engrossed in his own study of eschatology that he has dropped out of church completely and now thinks ALL "Christian" churches are apostate, because they do not agree with his personal teachings. I told him that we should all approach God's Word with humility, but he is infatuated with his own opinion and he wants to be right more than to know God's truth.

I pressed him on his perspectives, and he flat-out told me that he WANTS to believe them. So, in the end, some people have invested so much time and effort into a way of thinking that they cannot stand to retract or modify their view-points, nor are they willing to tear down the faulty structure and begin anew.

Best wishes and be well - C.J. Sledgehammer

Dear Mike, I'm aware of the 50 year Jubilee and it bears considering. “Jubilee years 1917 1967 2017. These dates are proven as Jubilee years“ What can you point to that this is indeed proven? “God gave man 120 years and 120 times the 50 years of Jubilee equal YEP you guessed it 6000.” This is a wonderful stab in the dark, but how are the numbers related beyond their tantalizing product? This would symbolize the period between leaving the Garden and the Second Coming as THE Day of mortal man. Interesting, but not supported beyond the math you’ve constructed. I still prefer using the event of Resurrection as the last 2000 year(2 God-days of Creation) countdown. We haven’t gone through “The Great Tribulation”, so Jesus Christ wont return in or around the year 2011, as your date might indicate. At best, you would suggest that “The Great Tribulation” should begin in or around the year 2011. As such, you’re assumptions will be proven or debunked in or around the year that you posted it. Otherwise, it still looks like the more practical time period is “in or around the year 2020” for the start of “The Great Tribulation.

mike: I think it should be closer to 2018 according to the Jubilee years 1917 1967 2017. These dates are proven as Jubilee years and if you take the date 1948 which is the year Israel became a state and the fact that Christ said that would be the final generation and ad the prophetic 70 years of Daniel you come up with 2018. Ta Da! LOL God gave man 120 years and 120 times the 50 years of Jubilee equal YEP you guessed it 6000. Now I'm not saying that is it and I'm not date stetting but we are to know the season and it would appear that we are rapidly approaching that time. Keep studying and God Bless. Sorry by the way if you would like to discuss this you can find me at yawanitdotcom. ip:

Keep in mind that "in or around" the year 2027 there should be an instant and total cessation of great strife, having rampaged for 7 years. That would be the 7 years of horrifying tribulation, starting "in or around" the year 2020, just 9yrs 7mon from now. Everything that must happen and will happen is for God's purpose and His ultimate plan to end this pseudo reality, so His Divine Reality takes Its rightful place. After all, it is scriptural, that God's will is at times, performed through evil forces, unwittingly opposed to God's Perfect and Good Will.

To declare any given, current or past event, as the fulfillment of, this or that particular prophesy, can only be vanity. This has been the mistake of every generation since Jesus Christ's Resurrection, for which every generation has declared the "Second Coming" in its lifetime, as justifiable proof of that generation's importance, as it relates to God's plans. Yes, we all want to be that important in the Eyes of God, but may we agree, that perception is nothing more than our grand vanity as it was with the generations before us?

Let us now ponder, with utter amazement and fear, that the end of 6,000 man-years or the 6 God-days of creation, since first sin and man's mortality under the curse, is soon to come to its end and what should it mean as the significant, onetime to occur, event that it is.

Yes, Methuselah died the same year as the flood and Noah was about 600 years old at that time. Where do I find metoo and shelach and what method do you use to arrive at 2027 as the second coming?

the secnd coming of Jesus is like on Noahs time, God give warning about the flood long before Noah is born, Methuselah Noahs grnad father derived form 2 hebrew word metoo> ( when he dies) shelach> ( it will be sent). Gen. 5 Methuselah age 187 and begat lamech age 182 And begat noah.Gen 6:11 when Noah age is about 600 years the flood began, so 187+182+600 is 969

      Jan Rabe,

I love you and may your faith drip on me! Please further our fellowship through my personal e-mail:

Whereas I originally made this post over 2 years ago, I recently posted it for discution on, under Eschatology. I find it very enjoyable, though I'm having to create time to keep up with it.

As you've probably know, there will be false prophets drawing attention to this or that date for the Second Coming to occur. The most recent being 2012. It seems prudent to me that we, as believers, look closely at Holy Scripture to understand what God is willing to reveal to His faithful now and as we move forward from here.

What it all means I honestly cannot know, but to say that if we are indeed entering the last full decade before the Great Tribulation, perhaps it would do us well to give it our all, to come together with renewed and vital observance of God's Will and to be better prepared as the Church.

Receiving understanding concerning the mark of the beast is still premature and will undoubtedly provide the faithful, at the intended time, undeniable vision where not to go. Once in the Great Tribulation, all fulfillment of Divine Prophesy may very likely be unavoidable and without question. It will be a time for critical decision, to choose Jesus or Satan.

As for the other portions of your comment, I agree 100% and thank you with all my heart for being so considerate.

      God bless you,

What you say may be true, not that I am convinced, there has been too many before you with similar arguments, that came to naught. However, what is FAR more important is, that many of us, reading what you have stated, will not live until 2027. For those, it is FAR more important, to understand that if they die (e.g. tomorrow, or even today) – then for them, time to repent and accept Jesus as their Savior, is over / gone. That is, the actual day (year) of Jesus’ second coming, is really irrelevant. Jesus in His parable stated “you fool; you who say, today or tomorrow, I will do this or do that, for tonight you will die”. Thus, although your statements may be of some interest, they are really not of any value, not for those whom seek to be with God, regardless of when His second (or final for that matter) coming will be. As a last note, I notice you do not mention the number 666… Any revelation as far as that goes?

It is encouraging to know that others are being moved towards the same year for his return.

The above link seems to me a great resource on the topic of calendars. If I could only take in all that it has to offer I'm sure it could be boiled down to its essence. But as it is, such bewilderment pains me to consider.

Every generation since the Resurrection has believed that Jesus would return during their lifetime. It's an age old sin of vanity. They have all been wrong save none. I search for the stone of unalterable truth, impervious to my vanity. It's an impossible dream if it weren't for the insistence of the Holy Spirit that God's will toward man be fulfilled. After all, what hope do we have to even come close to predicting the end of the age by using calendars? Signs and wonders abound year after year, decade after decade and century after century. The event of Jesus Christ's resurrection is our best hope for setting a time line, but its placement is elusive and all calendars have to regularly be re-calibrated to keep us synchronized with day and night and the seasons. How does one calculate a thousand years when the increments are forever being tinkered with? It's impossible as it was designed to be. I have a hunch that when the great tribulation begins, there will be no question. The turn of events surely will be truly great and beyond our ability to cope beyond falling on our face in utter repentance. Those who hate God will hate Him more and those who were uncertain will quickly turn to Him. Also, we all need the devotion achieved through fellowship. There's no wonder why false prophets should gain no respect. The last two prophets won't have that problem.

Thanks for answering my comment to you. We have but a short time to prepare ourselves and others. I have encountered a person who posted a dream on web that states directly September 2027 as end of world. So I ask are we beginning to see

      But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Act 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

God Bless you with much joy and peace

      Isaiah 61

      1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

      2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

I have to think on the gifts you've brought me.

      My brother in Christ,

      thank you

I read your post and interested in how you have derived at 2027. It is my belief that indeed 2027 is the year of return of Jesus at Yom Kippur. This belief is tied to the 6000 years which is taught in several early Christian writings which you might be interested in reading. The two that I am aware of are found in "Epistle of Barnabus" and in writings of St. Hippolytus. So your derivation of 6000 years is a valid one.

By the way there is a Messianic Jew at web site ( who has written a book called "The Jubilee Hypothesis" who has the same belief (Jesus returns at Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement in 2027) which is based upon Jubilees and 6000 years of man. I recommend his book as he has a great talent in explaining things from the Jewish viewpoint.

However your derivation of year 2027 even though you got the correct year is not quite historical. Jesus was crucified in 30 AD which I can derive this year by the correct understanding of Jesus's passion week and from Josephus writings on when the Jubilee occurred in 23/24 BC.

When Jesus stood up in Nazareth and read from Isaiah 61 and declared a favorable year of the LORD was on the Yom Kippur(Day of Atonement)in year 27 AD which was Jesus' 30th birthday. This occasion had to occur in the 80th Jubilee due to understanding that number 8 is messianic in nature. A few examples are David was the 8th son, a Jubilee year is actually the 8th sabbath year in 50 years, Jesus was raised on 8th day after entering Jerusalem on a donkey.

      The derivation of 2027 -

6000 years = 4000 years to Jesus plus 2000 years to his return

or expressed in Jubilees 6000/50 =120

40th Jubilee - Law given to Moses

80th Jubilee - Jesus declares favorable year of the LORD

      120th Jubilee - Jesus returns

The 2000 years added to 27 AD you arrive at 2027. Jubilee always starts on the Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur.

      Shalom (Peace)

Our God, the Creator created the stones. He doesn't honor man taking tools to alter them. They should remain as undefiled by man as His unalterable truths.

      Genesis 2:17 (King James Version)

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

How should one define "in the day", as one ponders Adam living seventy years short of a thousand?

      Genesis 5:5 (King James Version)

5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

Then put into perspective Genesis 5:5 with 2 Peter 3:8.

2 Peter 3:8 (King James Version)

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

There is nothing that can change the fact that Adam died 930 man-years after being cast from the garden for his sin, nor that Jesus Christ's Crucifixion marked the end of four thousand man-years after Adam's first sin. Now, we find ourselves inexplicably situated toward the very end of two thousand man-years after His offer of redemption, totaling six thousand man-years in or around 2027.

We have suffered truth and knowledge to be redeemed by faith in the Sacrificed Blood of the Holy Lamb of God. Satan comes with blinders, not our Savior.

Thank you for spending time with me and being thought provoking.

P.S. Concerning the Seventh Day of Rest, or the millennium after the Second Coming of Christ. I refer you to Revelation 19 through 22 and more specifically:

      Revelation 22:1-5 (King James Version)

1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Point being, during the 7th day, or the one thousand man-years starting soon after the Second Coming of Christ, struggle ends. A state of rest ensues.

      optional thoughts 8 years ago

There are a few problems with your thoughts on this that I thought I'd highlight so you can continue to think about them.

First up is that you have referred to the birth of Jesus as happening on "the forth day" but God didn't create Man until the Sixth, so it would be more logical to expect the messiah in the Year 2000 (making it 2027 by the time Jesus would be old enough to begin a ministry) But with this happening on the day "God created the sun and the moon" it makes little sense (Yes I understand that the Lamb of God is also referred to as "The Bright morning star" but this indicates that he should come on the Third day, not the forth.

Secondly, you are using New Testament scripture (2 Peter 3:8) to determine Old Testament scripture (Genesis as your foundation point). We can do this with many dates in the Bible and reach many dates that the Earth will/was destroyed (some believe that the final antichrist was Hitler and that we are now living in the time when Satan controls the Earth).

The next problem is that "A Thousand Years" equals 365,250 "Days" therefore leading to a time paradox where time expands infinitly. It is problematic to use this as a basis point for a theological, philosophical, biblical, spiritual, fatalistic or mathematical argument.

Also, you have ignored half the scripture: "a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day"

You can't make a mathematical argument saying all the "days" are "one thousand years" unless you also say that all the "one thousand year" passages are really referring to "a day". You started doing this when you referred to Adam's death just shy of what you termed "one God day" but there are many references that make no sense to this translation. It also means that other time references need to be adjusted and this throws out almost all scripture. For example:

Revelation 8:1 - "There was silence in Heaven for half an hour" half an hour = 1/48th of a day. A day is as a thousand years. Half an hour silence in Heaven = almost 21 years on Earth?

Genesis 2:2 - "so on the seventh day He (God) rested"

But using your mathematical equation after the year 2027 we enter the 7th "Day" where God Reigns on Earth, but on this day He should be resting rather then Raigning and since all His work should be done, there is no "Days" available for the release of the Serpent for "a short time" (Revelation 20:1) as this would be entering the "Eighth Day".

Just some thoughts. There's plenty of stuff to look up if you look at your equation unbiasedly.

Your Shield of faith can blind you from the truth if you use it incorrectly. Like warriors of old, we need to learn to look around our shields to see our opponents, how can we use the Sword of Truth if we swing it blindly, blinded by our own Shield of Faith?

That is amazing. You might consider it means something other than what you fear. Dreams don't come with a manual anyway. Experts have mused over them forever. I know myself that bad dreams are more often than not what I call "pee-pee dreams". When you need to pee while sleeping, your mind begins to dream up a description to match the sensation of an anxious bladder. In any event, your bound to be a most thoughtful individual and I appreciate your comment.
