3 - Man Vs Scripture - the Law, 10 Commandments, God's Chosen People and Jesus

3 - Man vs Scripture - The Law, 10 Commandments, God's Chosen People and Jesus

Many teach that the 10 commandments given in the Law and parts of the law are valid today but does scripture confirm that to be true? Also many teach that God's chosen people are the Israelites (Jews). Let us check scripture as the Bereans did to see if this be true.

.

Please Read this Before we Begin. Here we teach scriptural truths that are not taught most places. These are essential truths that you cannot be a real disciple of Christ without properly understanding. Because of this fact you must follow the scripture “do not be deceived my beloved brethren” and see that YOU are not deceived. In order to not be deceived you must not believe what I or any other man wants to teach you unless and until it has been confirmed in scripture and by the Holy Spirit of God to you Personally as Truth. That is your responsibility no matter who is teaching. The writer will answer for what he writes but only YOU will answer for what YOU believe.

Before going further you should read Exodus 19 to the end of the book so you can follow.

The Law and Commandments are Given to Moses for the People

Now we will look at scripture as God gives to Moses the commandments and the laws that are to govern Israel during the the age of the Israelites (also called the age of the Law). The Call to be a special people, the people of God, came with, as do all things in God, Conditions. I am well aware that most of what professes to be of God these days teach that there are no conditions on what God Gives, but that is a bold faced lie. These conditions as shown below are very specific.

Seldom have I heard the importance of these conditions mentioned other than in passing, but they are a key part of the covenant that God makes with them. “ Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

See it, if they want to enjoy the fruit of this covenant with God and become HIS SPECIAL people they must obey God's voice and Keep all the rules. If they do not then they WILL NOT become God's. Special People. A very important condition as we will later see that they did not meet.

Ex 19:1-6 In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai. 2 For they had departed from Rephidim, had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Israel camped there before the mountain. 3 And Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: 4 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself. 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

Ex 24:3-8 So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, "All the words which the Lord has said we will do." 4 And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord. And he rose early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel. 5 Then he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord. 6 And Moses took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. 7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, "All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient." 8 And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, "This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according to all these words."

And the people all agreed to the BLOOD Covenant and were bound to it.

Note Here that contrary to what many teach the Commandments ARE given together with the law and they are inseparable. The commandments, as is the law, are given solely to the Israelites.

Ex 24:9-18 Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, 10 and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity. 11 But on the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they ate and drank. 12 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them." 13 So Moses arose with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of God. 14 And he said to the elders, "Wait here for us until we come back to you. Indeed, Aaron and Hur are with you. If any man has a difficulty, let him go to them." 15 Then Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain. 16 Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel. 18 So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Then God calls Moses apart to Himself and during the next 40 days and nights imparts to him the rules by which the Israelites are to live during their age as the temporary people of God.

Ex 24:1-8 Now He said to Moses, "Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship from afar. 2 And Moses alone shall come near the Lord, but they shall not come near; nor shall the people go up with him."

The Rules and Tools of Worship for Israel

Then God gives to Moses all the details of the manner in which they shall worship God during this the age of the Israelites. The temporary age of the rule of the law for the Isrealites that will last until The promised man (Christ) shall come and fulfill it ALL and bring in the rule of Christ that lasts until the end of time as we know it, the day of the pouring out of the wrath of God upon ALL unrighteousness. Also known as the great white throne judgment.

During this age of the Israelites, God will be seated in a special little room in the Tabernacle called the most Holy Place and they must come to the tabernacle to meet with Him. Again this is only for the Israelites and only until the law is fulfilled and ended by Christ ending the age of the law and bringing in His new and different way.

The law of Moses for the Israelites (only they were eligible) only lasts from it's institution here in Exodus until The empowering of the disciples of Christ on the day of Pentecost in Acts2:1 when the law was replaced with Christ' rule.

The End of the Law

As was stated in the Law, it was only for Israel and only until it was Fulfilled by a man, which would compete it and end it. We find that was done at the resurrection of Christ. This resurrection of Christ from the dead was the beginning of the rule of Christ. It not only ended the age of the Isrealites, it also ended Israel as the special people of God. They killed the only MAN that could save them and make them the people of God according to their blood covenant with God.

They are now NO LONGER His special people because they broke the covenant. To make it worse they even said “let His blood be on us and our children's children” after they killed the son of God.

The New Covenant

The new covenant with God established Jesus Christ as acting in God's stead for this the final age of man. God has delegated ALL of HIS AUTHORITY and Power to Jesus for this age, just as He had delegated His authority to the priests and prophets in the age of the law.

As God's delegated authority for His age of rule Jesus sets the rules. Notice the first thing He mentions is GO and make disciples for HIM. There is NO mention in the new testament of going to meet God or to be taught by man, we are to take God with us as we GO, baptize those we lead to CHRIST (not to a man, church, denomination or any other such thing), in fact scripture says we have no need to be taught by a man other than Christ through His Holy Spirit that is sent to teach us all things. .

Where in the last age there were complex rules and methods of worship and the need to travel to where God was, in this age we are to GO to the people and take God to them (To be a disciple of Christ you MUST be baptized in the Holy Spirit which means God lives in you and is with you wherever you GO). Notice also that we are to baptize them in water to circumsize the hard heart to receive the things of God And in the Holy Spirit of God, which is the presence of God. And Most important we are to GO to ALL Nations, further proof that natural Israel is NOT THE PEOPLE OF GOD.

Matt 28:16-20

(Mark 16:14-18; Luke 24:36-49; John 20:19-23; Acts 1:6-8)

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Col 2:11-15 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

1 Cor 12:12-14 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free — and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

Eph 2:18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

The People of God

God said He will have a people and He does. Scripture is clear that the disciples (real followers of Christ) are the true chosen of God. WE ARE chosen by HIM because WE CHOOSE HIM.

Notice the words that proclaim this truth are the same words God used to tell the Israelites that IF they would do as they covenanted with Him they could be chosen but they failed so He gave all nations the opportunity to be HIS Chosen, it is opened with the same terms the Israelites were offered but now to whosoever will.

1 Peter 2:4-11 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

"Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame."

7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,

"The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,"

8 and "A stone of stumblingAnd a rock of offense."

They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Conclusions

The chosen people of God are not those that most of the church world say they are. The Israelites lost their chance to be God's chosen. They chose NOT to choose Him, So He did not choose them.

Instead they forfeited their opportunity. Now they must come to God as all others in the world or be Lost.

It is clear that the church system teaches the doctrines of man and not the doctrine of Christ. Scripture is clear that we are to come as a little child if we are to understand scripture. It is also clear Jesus had God send us the Holy Spirit of God to “teach us all things”. Also it says we have no need for any man to teach us, because if we are truly Christ's we must be filled with and following the Spirit.

Jesus also warned is “Do Not Be Deceived, my beloved brethren”.

Read who HE says will deceive us, it is the man made Tabernacle of satan, better known as the church system. SCRIPTURE is clear there are NO DIVISIONS in the real church of Jesus Christ but the church system of man Proudly proclaims that they are a division of the church.

They are but they are of the the divisions in the tabernacle of satan, not of the church of Jesus Christ which has no divisions, no separate clergy, buildimgs or other trappings of apostate man..

It is built of Living Stones, people, not buildings or doctrines of man, but people serving Jesus Christ and each other by following ALL of the doctrines of Christ and Only His doctrines, as The Holy Spirit directs.

There are No divisions in the church of Jesus Christ, all therein are of ONE SPIRIT, the Holy SPIRIT OF GOD.

Do Not be Deceived, that is a command of Christ.

PS. For those of you that may have a problem with my saying that Jesus returns all authority to God and sits down at the right hand of God in subjection to Him along with all His brothers at the judgment, which by the way also proves Jesus is Not God. Here is the scripture.

1 Cor 15:20-28 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
