The Heresy That is Cloaked in Christianity

Glory Fire = Kundalini Goddess
Glory Fire = Kundalini Goddess

There is a dangerous heresy that is cloaked in Christianity. Many leaders within this paradigm claim to possess a higher divine knowledge from God. They are to be looked upon as privileged because they have reached a “higher truth” on spiritual matters. “Salvation” is attained by those who possess this special knowledge, rather than faith in Jesus Christ, which is available to everyone.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast. – Ephesians 2:8-9

There are no new revelations to mankind; the Bible is the infallible standard of the genuine Christian faith; therefore, the mystical and emotional experiences that are promoted as truth are a lie. Many teachers and preachers use their “special revelation” to make an individual feel unique, special, and superior. “Salvation” is attained through esoteric revelation and mystical spirituality.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; in so much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. – Matthew 24:24

Many have fallen prey to these false prophets who convey their transcendent knowledge as being from God Himself. These leaders will ordain other individuals as part of their elite inside group as the gateway to superior knowledge and giftings. The transformation can be seen by the ritualistic practices of "anointing transference", These leaders are like "pied pipers" who gloss the eyes of the masses with their smooth talk, and by performing and conjuring up paranormal signs and wonders from seducing spirits.

It is so vital to be able to discern the true and genuine from the counterfeit. Through these practices of self-actualisation and self-accumulation, the Gospel is set aside for another kind of gospel, where there is no need for redemption of sin through Jesus Christ. The Gnostic ideologies are derived from the ancient mystery religions of Babylon, which are unscriptural, immoral, and an abomination to God. Many of these false prophets will pray for "fire" to fall down on the masses to release the euphoric religious ecstasy (Kundalini). Many believe this is the Holy Spirit moving, but weighing and testing by Biblical standard and history based in pagan idolatry roots reveal the opposite is taking place.

The Kundalini spirit is a serpent demon goddess who manifests in an individual by uncoiling at the base of the spine, which releases the Serpent Fire, or Shakti Energy. Many people are deceived into believing they are touching the face of God as a means of illumination and enlightenment, but it is actually a union with a demon. It is synonymous with those who practise yoga and are doing it in the name of Jesus Christ, but really it is worshipping another Jesus to attain religious ecstasy and union with the Divine Goddess.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ - 1 Peter 1:13

The Kundalini spirit has a domino effect, which is the transference of the demonic spirit from one person to another that often results in being “slain in the spirit”. This is called the Shaktipat, where the demonic transference has taken place. Often the intensity of the manifestation occurs by the laying of hands, blowing, holding hands, or positioning a hand over somebody. What can result is involuntary jerking, which is like electricity and convulses the individual. There is often a release, just to name a few, of gibberish, cackling, barking, and “prophetic” utterances. As the energy continues to manifest, the clairvoyance of visions and revelations are heard. There is a trance like state that accompanies the masses with intoxicating music that is often tribal and repetitive. There is weeping, laughter, bliss, and a drunken like atmosphere where speech is slurred. Signs and wonders will appear with manifestation of gold dust, angel feathers, precious stones, and divine "healings". There are visions of angels and another Jesus. It is also referred to as the manifestation of the Shekinah glory.

Through this whole experience, many buy into the "fortune telling", mystical secrets of “God”, and the hidden “biblical” meanings of Scripture. By arousing the demon goddess, one can attain Divine Wisdom via self-realization and self-knowledge.

This is an abomination that is in the "church" today, and these self-proclaimed teachers, apostles, and healers are spewing their filth of extra biblical revelations and prophecies to the masses.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. – Genesis 3:4-5

Do not be deceived by these the signs and wonders manifesting in front of you. The Kundalini spirit is a powerful force that can “heal” many in a counterfeit way. Many who have sickness and disease have flocked to these apostate churches, or conferences to be delivered from their infirmities.

The manifestations of these satanic “healings” will often accompany a sensation of heat, coldness, or electricity. Satan will “heal” in exchange for believing in him. The deception is that the individual believes that they are healed by God, but it is actually the effect of the doctrine of demons and a masquerading seducing spirit.

The Kundalini demon spirit goes by many names and can be sourced to many false religions throughout the world. Here are just a few:

  • Egyptians - Ra
  • Islam - Salaat
  • Early Gonostics – Pythagorus
  • Judaism – Shuckling
  • Easter Orthodox – Quiverings
  • China – Tai Chi or Ki
  • Shamanistic Dance
  • Bushmen – Trance Dance
  • Tibettan Bhudism – Tummo Heat
  • Mexico – Kupuri
  • Dakota Indians – Wakan
  • Indonesia – Petara

There are many churches that have placed their reliance of the movement of this “Holy Spirit” and extra Biblical revelations. These revelations come from a possessed person that prophesies in a manner that is an abomination to God. They will say that these new insights from “God” supersede the fulfilled doctrines proclaimed by the Apostles in Scripture. They will often use the euphoric atmosphere as a means to fill the offering plate and sell their wares to fill their coffers which bilk you of your finances.

If you are part of the church sphere, then you will probably be familiar with a few names that are heretical apostates. They masquerade and cloak themselves in Christianity with their demonic arts. They proclaim, “FIRE, FIRE, and more FIRE!”, but it is not the Holy Spirit. If you look back at the history of these churches, they were corrupted by a premeditated hostile takeover that was gained through lies and deception.

The ministries of Todd Bentley, Bill Johnson, Rick Joyner, Patricia King, and Stacey Campbell, just to name a few, are steeped in elitism and witchcraft. Beware and steer clear of these people and their followers as they are workers of Satan.

From ancient Babylon to today, the Kundalini spirit is still worshipped. This demonic spirit needs to be exposed for what it is, and by what names it calls itself. Wake up people! Christianity has been infiltrated. Can you discern what is masquerading around as the Holy Spirit? Are you willing to read the Word of God and study what the true purpose of the Holy Spirit are? It is a difference between life and death.

I would encourage anyone who is part of this movement to step back and really research the history of these ministries and weigh and test the evidence with God’s Word. Hopefully, with a sober mind, you may realise that this is the worship of the anti-Christ. These are the activities God's Word talks about concerning the Last Days. It is obvious that many are not preaching or teaching about the season that we are in. I encourage you to ask Jesus Christ to reveal and solidify the evidence so that you may know without a shadow of a doubt that this is idolatry and spiritual death. Many are deceived; the church is in dire need to call out people to get off the playground and onto the battlefield. The true followers of Jesus Christ should be facilitators of truth who have the courage fight the fight before this age of grace comes to an end.

Are you willing to use it?
Are you willing to use it?

Satan and his magicians will lead you astray if you continue follow after these lying signs and wonders. Stop consuming the cotton candy from the carnival that is full of empty calories. The snake oils and the fix-all-elixirs are just a band-aids that only will cover up the symptoms. It's time to leave the circus atmosphere and worship God in spirit and truth. When God’s Word is honoured, that is a place of true and genuine worship. The Word of God is used for the purpose of exhorting, rebuking, and correcting. Get off the roller-coaster of emotions and come to a place where Jesus Christ is glorified, where wolves are chased away, controversial questions are not afraid to be asked, testing the spirits are the norm, and the genuine Gospel is commissioned.

It’s time to get a backbone and flip over the defiled tables of the anti-Christ that so many are eating off. It is time to separate from those who choose to sit with the ungodly, lead people astray, and honour those in habitual sin. This is obedience, it is true worship and honour to our Saviour, Jesus Christ. How can the lost be restored if we continue to stand idle; our idleness is disobedience. The trumpet is sounded, are you going to heed the call?

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. – Psalm 1:1-6

      Evangelist JP,

(""God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise"")

1 Corinthians 1:27 has nothing to do with the theme of this article. Read the surrounding verses before cherry picking it.

("You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life.")

Again, read the preceding verse to John 5:39 and you will see WHO this verse applies to. It has no relevance to this article.

("People are far too legalistic to allow the Spirit to move.")

You first have to know whether it is the Holy Spirit right? So, I ask you what standard do you use to determine this?

("In the last days God will pour out His Spirit unto all flesh.")

The "last days" started when every believer became born again by the Holy Spirit.

Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father THE PROMISE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. - Acts 2:33

The work of the Holy Spirit is attested in Scripture. To allude to something other than this is delusion.

So people writing these articles have never been to a church who operates in the Spirit in a genuine way. A religious spirit will keep you from seeing what God wants to do because you are caught up in theology to neutrally seek Jesus Himself.

"God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise" faith will bring you into understanding, NOT head knowledge. "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me." People are far too legalistic to allow the Spirit to move. "In the last days God will pour out His Spirit unto all flesh."

I am not saying all these manifestations are true, but some are. If this is the Holy Spirit and you are speaking against Him, then you're blaspheming, which is the only unforgivable sin. Don't let your theology put God in a box.

You have given a classic example of religious man trying to ring their diner bells to get the Holy Spirit to do their bidding for them.

The question I like to ask is:

"If Jesus Christ walked through your front door, would you flail back, do the "fish dance," and babble on the floor; or with a sober mind, fall on your face and humble yourself before Him?"

The Holy Spirit is not about having a carnival atmosphere, but humbling ourselves before Him, and glorifying His name.

Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you can see it for what it is and are not eating their "cotton candy."

I use to go to a Pentecostal church and I asked my pastor to pray for me so I could be baptized by the Holy Spirit. They started to speak in what they call tongues and commanded me to start speaking in tongue, but nothing was happening. Someone was behind me waiting for me to fall back, but still nothing happened, and the pastor commanded me to speak in tongue and I said "I can't, if I do, it would be a lie". Then they stopped speaking in tongues and I sat down. Why God spared me of this experience, I don’t know, but I am grateful for it. I haven't been back since.

      Thank-you fro stopping and commenting.

I believe Jim Cancel summed up nicely some distinctions concerning "new" revelation.

I have written an article a while back concerning prophecy and revelations.

("Isn't God bigger than His word?")

God’s Word is the consummation of God’s eternal purpose through **Jesus Christ**.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - John 1:1

(Therefore why forbid anything that isn't forbidden expressly in the scripture or according to the principles of scripture.”)

That question is redundant, unless you reveal what this article is forbidding that Scripture does not forbid.

(“I agree that the scriptures are the highest standard of truth but why do you say that because an experience is felt immotionally are a lie?”)

The three things we use in our lives are God’s Word, faith, and feelings, but if we use them in the wrong order, it will lead to deception. Without God’s Word, there is no foundation for truth; we don't build a roof before the foundation is laid. The facts of God’s Word are the foundation, our faith is what rests on that foundation, and feelings should come after. The facts are true regardless of our faith and feelings. When we put value, or give more credence to something, we put our faith in that thing. If our feelings become more important than Biblical truth, then our faith will rest on that instead of God's Word. The facts of God are eternal, but our feelings change one day to the next.

(“I don't think these groups you mention consider salvation as being attained any other way than through trusting in Jesus.”)

That is where the deception lies. How do you know that you really are trusting and being obedient to Jesus Christ the way He wants you to?

There are “Christians” that consider yoga as a means of worshipping Jesus. If you commit adultery on your wife, but are thinking about her while you are doing it, does it justify the action? In the same way, many consider salvation and trusting Jesus Christ through syncretism of pagan forms of worship as truth.

But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. – 2 Timothy 2:16

(“You seem to be judging their motives? Weren't the disciples at pentacost accused of being drunk when they were filled with the spirit and spoke in tongues?”)

We all should know that one of the fruits of the spirit is self-control. Was their staggering and loss of self-control? People’s amazement was over hearing those speaking in “tongues” clearly articulating the wonders of God in foreign languages. Those who mocked or ridiculed made the claims of "drunkenness".

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. – 1 Peter 4:7

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ – 1 Peter 1:13

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak **not according to this word**, it is because there is no light in them.” – Isaiah 8:20

The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. – 1 Corinthians 14:32-33

The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

Don’t be deceived by “signs and wonders” because what goes on in these movements cannot be substantiated by Scripture. Look in the book of Acts for yourself. Do you read of falling, raucous laughing, staggering around, barking like dogs, crowing like roosters, and roaring like lions, just to name a few?

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. – James 4:8-10

Falling before the throne of Jesus Christ is not flailing backwards, but falling forward at His feet. You will find nowhere in Scripture of being "slain in the spirit" and having someone behind catching them.

Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and **I fell on my face.** Then the spirit entered into me, and **set me upon my feet**… - Ezekiel 3:23:24

(“God never changes but His methods may. Isaiah 43:19- (Behold, I will do a new thing); now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”)

In context, these verses pertain to the Israelites; by His grace God would deliver them out of Babylon to Cannan. God’s provision, guidance, and protection for them did not include gold dust, feathers, precious stones, and paranormal physical manifestations.

Thanks for your thoughts and adding to the discussion.

Jim Cancel- Thanx for taking the time to comment on my post. I too am familiar with Bob Mumford and the shepherding movement. He was my former pastors, favorite teacher. From what I understand he's ministered recently in revival meetings at the Toronto Airport Christian fellowship, which is one of the groups being accused of new kinds of heresy.

When I speak about new revelation, I'm not referring to a new doctrine, it could just be a deeper insight into a scripture, it could refer to an insight God gives you in regards to many things. As I mentioned before God doesn't change but His methods often do.

In my study of past revivals, I've noticed that God often would come in ways that would offend the natural mind in order to get to the heart! If you read the first hand accounts of the Great Awakenings and other revivals, you will come across many of the contriversial manafestations that are occurring now in some centers of revivals.

I've heard it said that the greatest error is the fear of error or that fear is faith in the devil. Are we to have more confidence in the devil's ability to decieve than God's ability to bless us? I won't deny that there are charitans out there but I've heard that for every charlitan there's 1000 believers with no power. I'm not sure which is worse. In this day and age when believers in witchcraft can preform impressive signs can we in the church afford to be powerless?

In the early church, the test of apostleship often came down to a display of power. That's how believes often distinguished the true leaders from false leaders. The false one's had a form of Godliness but denied the power thereof. Paul said that I don't come with words of worldly knowledge but in the power of the Spirit!

I would like to address, wba108, in the above comment if the hub author doesn't,t mind. In the early 1980s I belonged to a religious group that came from the "shepherding movement". I don't know if anyone can recall the name "Bob Mumford" but he was one of the "leaders" of the movement. The fundamentals of the Christian group I was in slanted toward "armeneism" with strong emphasis of any interpretation of scripture being expounded upon with a direct correlation to the Word of God at the time of one' expression of their interpretation. As well, we emphasized strong use of the prophetic gifts and I can personally attest to the gift of prophesy being used for unbelievers who come to the church as Paul has stated in his gospels that " the unbeliever will fall on their face saying surely God is in this place"-it happened to me and was instrumental in my conversion experience. To make a long story short, many of the leaders were extremely gifted men in the spiritual gifts. Many brethren were also gifted and admonished to share openly in meetings. We understood the fundamentals of worshipping God in the fear of The Lord and the strong confidence it brings As is stated in Proverbs. The principles of loving correction and that "every tree that bears fruit he prunes that they may bear more fruit". These principles and many others have guided me for over 30 yrs in my walk with God.

With the former mentioned in mind allow me to share what I've seen and learned about the gifts, revelation of the spirit, "new revelation" and their dangers. I have come to the conclusion that the gifts and especially the gift of prophecy are for our times but are to be used in the format and blueprint prescribed in the New Testament. Prophecy or so called "prophets" are simply one who speaks the mind of Christ to the church or brethren. It is to be judged by all but especially those of like "prophetic gifting". Bear in mind that Rev. 19 states that "the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ". Abuses of this gift and pride often coincide when a member uses the phrase "thus sayeth The Lord" to preface a burden or unction they feel is from God to the congregation. One should be particularly wary of that language as it is often used in "cultish, power grabbing, pastoral worshipping" congregations and groups. Just so you know I was one of those people who watched a young child die of untreated juvenile diabetes because the the elders of the congregation felt that God would heal the boy. "New revelation" tends to "Phariseeic pride" as a feeling of being better than others or as Jesus so aptly depicts in the scriptures"thank you Lord that I am not like this man (ie. other groups) but fast 2x a day and give alms.......". If there be any revelation that contradicts holy living, meekness, servant hood , decreasing that He might increase, carrying your cross, bearing good fruit, and many others that run counter to the ideal of what Jesus would do, are false and demonic. I crack up at some of the prideful assertions made in the name of religion. When Jesus was taken to the highest pinnacle on earth and offered all the kingdoms of the world if He would only worship satan, He in His severely weakened state (40 days of fasting -no food or water) didn't come up with a "new revelation" but simply stated the Word of God as it applied to the situation He was facing. On Jesus's second temptation by the devil to jump off the high pinnacle and be caught by angels, He again resisted the temptation by obedience to the written word that was revealed to Him for the situation. He refused to tempt God because it's written in scripture not to. How many practitioners of "new revelation" dare tempt God in defiance of written scripture?

Let me leave you with this, any revelation of a prophetic nature is meant for the edification of the church as the Pauline epistle states. It should be tested by discernment as to being from God and it should bear witness to the scripture and the nature of Jesus Christ.

I can appreciate your concern about the many Christians who no longer base their lives and opinions on scriptural truth. And seem to forget the foundation of the word of God.

Psalm 138:2 "For You have magnified Your word above all Your name."

You've said that there's no new revelations to mankind but what about prophetic words, words of knowledge ect that give personal applications to biblical truth, are you saying they've ceased with the apostles?

Isn't God bigger than His word?

John 21:25 says " And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

We can at least see that Jesus did many things that we're written in the scriptures. Therefore why forbid anything that isn't forbidden expressly in the scripture or according to the principles of scripture.

I agree that the scriptures are the highest standard of truth but why do you say that because an experience is felt immotionally are a lie? Don't we love God with our whole being (mind, will and emotions)? Don't we love our wives, husbands and others with our emotions as well as our minds and will? Is crying more spiritual than laughing? People weep over their sins, does this make their repentance illegitimate?

I don't think these groups you mention consider salvation as being attained any other way than through trusting in Jesus. You seem to be judging their motives? Weren't the disciples at pentacost accused of being drunk when they were filled with the spirit and spoke in tongues?

God never changes but His methods may. Isaiah 43:19- (Behold, I will do a new thing); now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The only standard we have is the Bible, our faith rests on that standard. Without it, there would just be relativism. All I can use is Scripture and history to present my case. Feelings don't change the facts no matter how we may feel about them..

("It's very easy to claim that all these manifestations are demonic in origin simply because you see similar practices in other religions.")

...therefore it is good to back up the claim with evidence to back it up. Furthermore, the evidence is weighed and tested through the lens of Scripture.

("Just like all those so called gods you name are also nothing but manmade inventions. As for Kundalini, it is nothing but mass hysteria, a pseudo spiritual placebo, a psychological self deception, a nothing, it is not real.")

There is a spiritual and physical realm. The spiritual can effect the physical and results in objective manifestations; otherwise, this verse below would be meaningless.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. - Ephesians 6:12

The manifestations are real because we can see the objective effects. The historical evidence coupled with Biblical standard reveals that it is an abomination to God.

If you disagree, by what standard do you use to determine righteous worship to God? Scripture does not say that we can worship God anyway we please and He will accept it.

Thank-you for adding to the discussion.

To diappearing head----I believe that there are certain issues in your soul that somehow obscured the real meaning and purpose to what the hub author and myself have said--I sense real anger -why?

You are incorrect as to why Jesus was accused of being in league with satan. The Pharisees were simply jealous and were afraid of their nation and place amongst the elite and it' s preeminence being taken away.

As to the true church, the Word says that it has this seal upon it-" The Lord knoweth those who love Him and let all who name the name of The Lord depart from iniquity". The wheat will grow up with the tares for a while until the they are separated by the Holy Decree. You can look at the abuses and sinful acts of so called churches and members and be dismayed and shrinking back, but please understand that Jesus came to convict the world "of sin righteousness and the judgment to come". God and his son are waiting patiently but we all shall be held accountable for an eternity with or without God when we appear before the judgment seat of Christ for our deeds done in our bodies-even as the scriptures state.

Where shall you and I stand in that great and terrible day? Does it really matter about earthly circumstances both past and present? I personally am beginning to see more and more why the Apostle Peter said "the righteous shall barely be saved"

If you currently belong to God and by grace have been granted a saving faith, then you will understand that "godliness is a great means of gain when accompanied with contentment". You will also have an assurance of a new heaven where no unclean thing will dwell and will as the scriptures say "earnestly groan to be clothed from above". The faults and fallacies of church present and past are a distraction to working out your salvation with fear and trembling as the scriptures exhort us to do.

I canonly believe and hope that what we see here in America on the religious , political and economic horizon cause us to cry out as in the book of revelation "how long oh Lord" as we see men more and more becoming lovers of pleasure and less of God, lawless increasing and the love of many growing cold, the name above all names-Jesus, being diminished by sin and greed, all in the name of "cultural diversity and equality for all".

I have an anger too. It,s against all the lies and deception that try to make my God and Father out be less than a 3 x Holy God who though He cannot stand sin has made a way for us to have the gift of eternal life through belief in His Son on the terms He has prescribed and not mans terms. Take Care

It's very easy to claim that all these manifestations are demonic in origin simply because you see similar practices in other religions. You call these people deceived because they don't see events as you do. They call you deceived and resisting the Holy Spirit. They call you a Pharisee. Jesus was accused of being in league with satan because the religious leaders didn't like his miracles.

So those that follow these manifestations are really followers of satan and those that don't are also followers of satan for resisting them. Each side puts up bible verses to support their argument, and each side claims that the Holy Spirit is only talking to them and them only. If it wasn't so tragic it would be laughable.

Clearly the Father is not taking anyone's side in this because he has not intervened. Just like he did not intervene throughout church history to prevent: the split between Catholic and Eastern Orthodox; the abuses an genocidal acts of the Catholic Church; the idiocy of the Puritans; the Salem Witch Trials; the Prosperity Gospel; the introduction of pagan hell, satan, demons into Church beliefs and doctrines; the idea that the Father will not ultimately save all mankind.

Sure the Church is full of corruption, greed, abuses, but it is also full of stupid doctrines, beliefs and paganism which have all been present for 1800 years. Perhaps orthodox christianity is a manmade religion after all and that's why it contains so may schisms and stupidity. Just like all those so called gods you name are also nothing but manmade inventions. As for Kundalini, it is nothing but mass hysteria, a pseudo spiritual placebo, a psychological self deception, a nothing, it is not real.

      Jim Cancel,

You are right, the historical compromise of the church is a valid point.

You made two points that stood out to me.

("It's amazing to me how biblically informed christians tolerate the pastoral offices and the church hirarchy that exists when it is clearly not the true "blueprint" for the New Testament church.")

The churches of today are board run corporations and are run like a business. The major shareholders make the man-made decisions right down to their slick predetermined messages. The product and wares they sell are self-help programs that are made to fill the coffers.

Is Jesus Christ really a commodity?

Is redemption something that is sold as a self-help program, or by filling an offering plate?

The social club program become the focus (idolatry) instead of Jesus Christ, Himself. Change doesn't come from a mustered up program, but is a progression of our hearts gaze on Him.

(" Don't put total reliance for your faith and obedience to God in the fact that you attend church and that your spiritual leaders are the "God's anointed", get the oil for yourself")

A true and genuine relationship with Jesus Christ is something that we continually work at by His grace. Many are too busy wrapped up in their own agendas; therefore, they believe they can do it via their pastor, sitting through a message that will tickle their ears and shouting, "Amen!", or dropping a C note into the offering plate while everyone is watching.

Doesn't this sound like a place to go if you want to become white-washed?

Genuine oil will not be found there because it will not make money like books, seminars, DVD's, etc...

Thank-you for stopping by and adding some additional evidence to weigh and test.

Yes, the points of studying the Word, praying to Jesus Christ, and being led by The Holy Spirit are very important. Somehow, the simplicity of these has been forgotten by many.

      Thank-you for your comment :)

I am encouraged that you able to discern this heresy for what it is. I encourage you to pray for those who you may know who are involved in this deception that their eyes may be opened to what it truly is.

Thanks for taking the time to read this article. God Bless!

As the saying goes, "we love the truth when it enlightens us, but we hate it when it convicts us."

We are to speak truth in love, not out of self-righteousness.

The hard part is what to do when the truth becomes apparent. Do you compromise for "unity", or take a stand and contend for the fundamentals of the faith. Many friends and family members who are involved in these ministries will label you . I have been called, "the destroyer of family", but in the midst of these types of hardships, there is a peace knowing the Rock who we stand on will not be shaken or moved.

We can't run from the storms, but the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to weather them.

      I appreciate your encouragement.

      Michelle Travis,

You are right, the New Age Movement is growing. It essentially combines eastern influenced ideologies. It is a theology of "feel-goods", universal tolerance, and moral relativity. Universal divine unity supersedes being on one accord with Jesus Christ.

Many churches have taken on these demonic principles and will offer courses in "miracles" and "healing". The deception is that Scripture is interpreted out of context and Christian lingo is incorporated into these conferences and seminars.

What you will notice is that these people are tolerant of almost any position except for fundamental Christianity that believes in moral absolutes and salvation through Jesus Christ only. The Emergent Church is a good example of people who take ancient Babylonian forms of worship and incorporate then into their services. Yoga, contemplative prayer, labyrinth walking, to name a few, are ways of attaining higher "consciousness" with "God".

The prosperity Gospel is another deception. This verse pretty much sums up this movement.

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?" - Mark 8:34-36

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your thoughts.

I appreciate the attempt to expose false teachers, preachers, religious groups and anything that would put itself above or distort the true knowledge of Christ. The real problem however, is much more sinister and subtle and isn't easily discernable to the untrained spiritual eye. I'm referring to how Satan uses counterfeit tactics to fool christians and to keep them from moving on into perfecting holiness in the fear of God. The examples mentioned in this hub, though quite accurate as to being heretical and false, are easily recognizable based on the ability to discern by the biblical standards of a "good tree can't bear bad fruit and a bad tree can't bear good fruit". The real danger to christianity today ii the 501 (c) 3 non-profit church that dominates the American religious landscape of our country.

The church prior to being granted tax except status, used to have great influence over the lives and culture of the American citizen. It would take stands on social and political issues and preach and teach its members by means of teaching, large prayer meetings, etc. The "spirit filled" God inspired church was the true 'social net" that citizens relied in next to the family structure. The day came (in the Lybdon B Johnson era) that govt offered the church a deal. They said "hey, we'll give you tax free status if you don't influence elections and act in such a way to violate public policy". The church shook hands with the "devil" and effectively dimished their ability to "fight the good fight" for the gospels sake and has become a big business. I say kudos to North Carolina for rallying in defense of marriage being between a man and a woman and by ratifying a state amendment. Kudos for Loews Building Supply Headquarters, that is based in NC for pulling it's advertisement off the commercial air so as to not be comingled with a muslim advertisment airing in a similar time slot.

Where are you 3who claim to be a christian taking a stand on God, sin, righteousness and the judgment to come? Are you relying on your church or pastor as your "ticket to heaven"? If you are you will miss the train because as I've explained, they can't without risking losing their tax exempt status and all the benefits they enjoy from it. It's amazing to me how biblically informed christians tolerate the pastoral offices and the church hirarchy that exists when it is clearly not the true "blueprint" for the New Testament church.

Jesus made himself of no reputation because he was the Word of God, spoke the Word of God, and always spoke against the phariseeic teachings, practices and rituals that elevated man's opinions and feelings above God's truth-that will you unpopular and of no reputation. Some of the Apostle Paul's characteristics were that he "buffeted himself after preachinf lest he be disqualified", he worked fulltime and preached at his own cost so as to be an example and to have something to give. Isn't this in direct contrast to the majority of pastoral compensation of big church leaders and officers. Look up what Joyce Meyer's properties, holdings and estate value is, as well, look up the same for TD Jakes (25,000 earring-thank you Jesus!) and of course Joel Osteen and the host of others.

Sorry to belabor anyone, so I'll end with this exhortation, the Lord Jesus mentioned in the Bridegrooms' coming that there were 10 virgins. All 10 went out to meet Him. Sadly, only 5 had oil for their lamps and went on with the bridegroom. The others had to leave in search of oil for their lamps and while doing so the door was shut and they didn't enter. Might the 10 virgins represent the church (as they were all virgins and chaste)? Don't put total reliance for your faith and obedience to God in the fact that you attend church and that your spiritual leaders are the "God's anointed", get the oil for yourself

I am so glad that you can see through this deception and see the false fruit of their ways.

Your pastor is to be commended for taking immediate action. The name of Jesus Christ is glorified by his discernment and by nipping it in the bud. He is worthy of the position God has put him in and you are blessed to have him as part of your church.

Thanks you for your encouraging comment.

I am glad I was able to facilitate evidence to you.

It is a great deception that needs discernment from the Holy Spirit, especially when beginning stages take place within the church. These false leaders will use the Bible in an allegorical sense to make you believe it is from the very Word of God. Once your eyes are glossed over and your ears tickled from stories of great signs and wonders, they will make the congregation come together in unity to receive the possession of this Kundalini demon.

It is important to understand in these end days there is a call for unity within the church, but there is a distinction between "unity" and being in one accord with Jesus Christ.

      God Bless!

      North Wind,

If you type in Todd Bentley's Apostolic and Prophetic Commissioning on Youtube you will find evidence of this counterfeit Christianity. False prophetess Stacey Campbell's fortune telling over Todd has been proven too a bunch of bologna. If you take a good look at these leaders on stage, take note of their names, and do a little research, you find these birds of a feather flock together.

These type of people claim they are restored apostles ordained by God to be the governmental leaders for the emerging “New Order” church. They require strict obedience and submission to them in all matters because they claim they hear directly from God, and many claim that Jesus physically visits them in person. Their goal is about power, money, and control.

The church I used to attend had a hostile takeover from two of these people that were on stage. The lies, deceit, manipulation, and witchcraft were the tools they used to subjugate governance over to them. God gave my wife a dream and a warning to the church leaders before it happened. The Jezebel spirit was allowed to take control and the pastor was ousted with a nervous breakdown. I watched the the whole thing unfold before my eyes. The church is now completely controlled with worship to the female demon goddess, Shekinah.

This is heresy cloaked in Christianity.

These people believe they are the militant church that will arise in the last days to govern and dominate the world with their agenda.

Simply put, they are preparing for the arrival of their saviour, the anti-Christ.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, **except there come the falling away first**, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition - 2 Thessalonians 2:3

What about the ones who are on TV and are very rich. Didn't Jesus tell us that it is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle, then for a rich man to enter Heaven?

I looked up the people in this hub. That was pretty scary. They are not only being deceived they are deceiving others. That is horrible! Thank you so much for letting us know of this.

One thing that is happening and growing rapidly is the New Age Religion. I think it is wrong.

Thank you for bringing this heresy to our attention. I have come into contact with some of the results of these teachings. Thank God my pastor is full of God's Spirit and was able to take immediate action under the guidance of the Spirit.

Also, I believe that Roy Masters may be part of this heresy as well.

You are right and I am glad that you brought up Todd Bentley. I just cannot see how anyone could think that the Spirit of God dwells in him. I am not familiar with the others but it is certain that there is a great deception going on and that the elect are most definitely in danger of being deceived. The Holy Spirit is truth and so He will not let this be so, I am sure. Thank you for the admonition. I hope that those who have ears to hear and eyes to see will look and listen.
