A Hymn: Turn Yourselves, and Live Ye
Composer’s Foreword
I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.
The Tune of Hymn to Use
“It is not meet for saints to fear
Nor for them to despair,
For when they least expect his help
The savior will appear”
Look and Live
The Composed Song
1. Proverb that some put forward is that
Fathers have eaten the fruits
The fruits they ate are the sour grapes
Children’s teeth got sour taste
2. But when the Lord heard of this word
He answered them and said
Ye shall no more ‘ve occasion to use
This proverb again in your midst
3. Because all souls are even mine
As the soul of father is mine
So also the soul of the son
Also belong to me
4. As the soul of the old is mine
So also the soul of youth
And all the souls that have even sinneth
In die he shall dieth
5. But if there be a man that can
Be just and do the right
That is walking in my statutes
He surely shall even live
6. But if there be any of the youth
That is doing all evil
That also oppress the poor
In die he shall dieth
7. The soul that sinneth it shall die
Son shan’t bear ‘niquity of father
Neither shall father bear iniquity of son
Blood of sinner ‘ll be on him
8. But even if the wicked one
Can even turn away
From all sin he hath committed
Surely he shall even live
9. And if the righteous can turneth
‘Way from his righteousness
And he ‘s done abominations
He ‘ll die in his ‘bomination
10. Therefore take ye your trespass
Away even from you
And make ye a heart an’ a spirit
That is new for yourself
11. I do not have any pleasure
That the wicked should die
Except he should also turneth
That he also should live
12. Therefore returneth ye to me
All the end of the world
I am the savior even beside
Me there is no savior.
