A New Religion
A New Religion
Why do people need a new religion? People all over the world are divided on spiritual matters. Nevertheless, one true religion should exist, and one source of truth should be the basis for it. Because truth cannot usually spring from those who have a personal agenda to accomplish, we must find it from an objective source. We need a new religion that would encompass the truth from beginning to end, and give real hope to those who believe in it.
Is there any real hope in this life? We live in a temporary world where people follow trends that come and go. Additionally, over the years, famous people make history but they come and go. Does that mean we should only care about now, and not about the future? Some people would say yes, but most people would say that a life without hope is not appealing. They believe that having a true religion would help them to have hope of a better life in the future.
A new religion would help make sense of important issues in life that are often clouded by conflicting views. From views about how life began to views about our eternal destination, we need to know the truth. Although many deny the need for any religion, they are merely trying to simplify life by saying that this life is all there is. But that does not satisfy the many people who know there must be much more.
The first truth of a new religion would be as follows:
A perfect, immortal God does exist, and He is the Creator of life.
No matter what you believe about life, your philosophy and religion require faith to believe it. That said, shouldn't the philosophy that forms the basis of a religion make sense to reasonable people? For example, believing in God requires faith just as not believing in God requires faith.
It is unreasonable to believe that human beings accidentally evolved from elements. Actually, humans are proof that God does exist because without Him they would not exist. If a new religion was formed, its foundation would be that God creates life.
The second truth of a new religion would be as follows:
God created the first man and woman, and He created them to be perfect and immortal.
Many religions believe an immortal God does exist and that He creates life. But people have opposing views about the creation, the purpose, and the destiny of human beings. The first two humans that God created were a man and a woman. They were both perfect because God is perfect. If He is not, then the world can never be perfect. The first man and woman both had three characteristics; they were perfect, they had free will or independent thought, and they were immortal.
The third truth of a new religion would be as follows:
The first man and woman chose to disobey God. As a result, they incurred a sinful nature that every human being has inherited.
Our problems began when the first man and woman sinned. After that, they became imperfect and lost their immortality; and they developed a sinful nature that has been inherited by every human being. They could have chosen to trust God and obey Him, but they were tempted to disobey God, and gave in to that temptation. Satan, the Devil, tempted them and he continues to distort the truth, making it difficult for humans to understand the truth.
God creates humans with free will, meaning that they can decide to obey God's rules or go off on their own and make their own rules. The problem is that, without God's perfect wisdom, people cannot make perfect rules to live by. This has been proven all through history.
The world today is an evil place because people have rebelled against God. If we want the world to be a better place, we need to come back to God and follow His commandments. But If we continue to rebel against God, the world will become more evil, and eventually be destroyed.
The fourth truth of a new religion would be as follows:
Our souls are not immortal because of our sinful nature.
According to many religions, a person's soul is immortal. The truth is that the soul could be destroyed for eternity. Humans were meant to live for eternity, but when they rebelled against God, they lost their immortality. God is the source of life, and if we decide to live without Him, then our lives will eventually end.
We die because of our sinful nature, but it is still possible to have immortality. After you die, you could be resurrected to eternal life if God has forgiven you for your sins. But if your sins are not forgiven, you could be resurrected to face Judgment Day and then lose your life for eternity.
Will you live eternally or die? God wants you to live, and to be happy. Many can never be truly happy in this world for long because of the many problems that occur everyday. Everyone faces problems with their health, finances, relationships, etc. Many cannot handle life very well and become depressed or even suicidal.
Many try to cheat death by trying ways to look younger and live longer. The point is that these are usually happy people who want to live. However, being truly happy is difficult with death hanging over all humans. People just need to know that there is a way to overcome death and have eternal life.
A new religion would show people the way to an eternal life of happiness. In addition, it would show them the way to connect with God so that they can overcome problems. Many are looking for solutions that would only bring short-term happiness. They have a vision of what they believe to be the answer. This vision may be of having great wealth, or being with someone they are attracted to, or having a lot of power. But none of these can bring you peace and happiness for eternity. Only God can help you achieve that purpose.
The fifth truth of a new religion would be as follows:
God is the spirit of love, and He wants people to overcome sin and have eternal happiness.
Many religions have members who are religious fanatics, and promote violence against those who criticize what they believe. The true God, however, loves us and wants us to love each other, and live in peace and happiness. He wants you to forgive your enemies when they do wrong to you.
God loves people and He wants them to be saved from destruction. But If you choose to rebel against God and continue a life of sin, you cannot become perfect. If you are imperfect, you cannot be immortal. Those who are not immortal will eventually die and be destroyed. How can you be saved from destruction? God loves people so much, He has made it possible for them to be forgiven for their sins and have eternal life.
The sixth truth of a new religion would be as follow:
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we could have eternal life.
The centerpiece of a new religion would be the one true connection with God. Many religions have what they believe is the way to God and eternal life, but Jesus is the only way. You cannot be saved from death without Jesus, the Son of God. Of all the major religions, Christianity is the one true religion; however, many branches of Christianity with different beliefs do currently exist. A new religion would apply only those beliefs that make sense to reasonable people.
Many believe that Jesus Christ is God, but He is the Son of God. Although Jesus is God's Son, He was born as a human being to earthly parents. His purpose was to be an example to us, to teach the truth, preach the gospel, and ultimately die for our sins. Jesus is the way to God; if you believe in Him as your Lord and Savior, you can be saved from death and have eternal life.
The seventh truth of a new religion would be as follows:
Those who die do not continue living in any form until God resurrects them.
This simplifies the idea of what happens at death. Many believe that we don't actually die, and that our spirits or souls live on. Some religions believe in reincarnation, but that would mean that the soul doesn't actually die. Others believe that right after death our souls go to Heaven or Hell, but again that would eliminate death.
Many people believe that the spirits of those who die become ghosts until they "cross over" to the other side. However, these ghosts are not spirits of the dead; they are actually apparitions created by Satan, the Devil, and his demons. A person's spirit is actually the breath of life that he or she receives from God at birth. When a person dies, his or her spirit or breath of life returns to God.
The eighth truth of a new religion would be as follows:
Hell is just the place of the dead, and is not a place where unsaved people are suffering in fire.
If someone dies, and goes to a place where he or she suffers in fire, then that person would not be dead. Furthermore, the Bible tells us that those who die will not live again until they are resurrected. Then those who are not saved must appear on Judgment Day to be judged for their sins.
On Judgment Day, those who are found guilty and not forgiven for their sins will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. That is where they will be consumed by fire and lose their life for eternity. The Lake of Fire is also where the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and Satan and his demons will be destroyed.
The truth is that a living soul is a complete person, including body, mind, and spirit. When you die, your body and mind die. Your spirit, which is the breath of life, returns to God. You will not live again until God resurrects you.
There will be two resurrections. The first will be for those who are saved from destruction, and go to Heaven. The second will be for those who must appear on Judgment Day; they will be judged and those who are not forgiven for their sins will be destroyed by fire.
The ninth truth of a new religion would be as follows:
The Bible is God's Word; it is our guide to the truth.
The Bible was written by men who were inspired by God to record the truth from beginning to end. The Bible tells us how the earth and heavens were created, and how the first man and woman were created. It tells us how sin entered into the world. The Bible tells us how the world was once destroyed by a great flood, and how one family survived that flood. It tells us about great men and women and historical events that were all part of the world's early history.
The Bible tells us about the life of Jesus, from His birth to His ministry, and how He was crucified. It tells about the resurrection of Jesus, His return to Heaven, and how He will return someday to gather Christians to go with Him to Heaven. Then the Bible tells us how Jesus will return with those Christians and destroy everyone who perpetrates evil.
The Bible contains prophecies about events that will bring an end to this world, and bring in a new heaven and earth. Then those human beings who believe in Jesus will finally be happy, and live eternally in a perfect world.
In Summary, the foundation of a new religion would be that a perfect, immortal God creates human beings. He created the first man and woman who were both perfect and immortal. But when they disobeyed God, they incurred a sinful nature that every human being has inherited. Therefore, because of our sinful nature, human beings are not immortal.
The one true God is the spirit of love and He wants us to overcome sin, and live happily for eternity. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we could have eternal life.
Many believe that after people die, their souls continue living in some form. But the truth is that they do not live again until they are resurrected. The soul is the complete person; it is the body, mind, and spirit. It is not reincarnated, does not become a ghost, and does not go immediately to Heaven or Hell. There is no Hell where evil people are suffering in fire. Hell is only the temporary place of the dead.
There will be two resurrections; the first will be the resurrection of those who believe in Jesus as their savior. Jesus will return and gather them and take them to Heaven. The second will be the resurrection of those who rejected Jesus. They will be judged, found guilty, and thrown into the Lake of Fire where they will be destroyed.
The Bible is God's Word, and it is our guide to the truth. It tells us about the creation of the earth and heavens, and the first man and woman. And it tells us how sin entered the world, and about the early history of the world.
The Bible tells us about the life and death of Jesus, and how He will return to gather Christians, and take them to Heaven. It tells how He will return with Christians, and destroy those who perpetrate evil. The Bible also contains prophecies regarding the end of the world, and a new heaven and earth. It is there that Christians will be truly happy, and live eternally in a perfect world.
