A Time And Season For All Things
Introduction
The Bible contains wisdom for all. This verse is one of my favorite. It speaks of a universal truth for all human existence on earth. In fact, my assertion is that it even teanscends life into the afterlife and heaven.

Background
One of the passages in the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes contains the following verses.
It is a description of change and cycles. We are all part of this grand design.
Ecclesiastes 3 New International Version (NIV)
A Time for Everything
3 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance...
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace...
Isn't this so true? How can something written over 2000 years ago is still relevant today? Knowing this cycle and the laws of nature will be a great guide and a relieve. We are a part of this clockwork.
Why is This Important?
For me, this verse is a path to happiness and well being. It is giving us an universal truth. No matter if you are rich or poor, white or black, educated or not, religious or non religious, the fact is our lives are full of cycles and nothing stays the same.
There are several elements to this. One, we like change. Life would be boring if everyday is a repeat of the next. Two, there is a cyclical nature to change, just like the seasons. Three, there is an order to change where certain events happen for a reason and the right actions will bring forth joy and happiness. The sooner we realize this, the better we are able to deal with life and all of life's challenges.
A Song by the Byrds
Lyrics To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to healh
A time to laugh, a time to weep
To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven...
Vision of Heaven?
Summary
Imagine you are in heaven. What do you think it would be like? Will everyday be perfect? Or will you experience all kinds of stimulus? Will you be celebrating an anniversary or a birthday still? Will you be pampered and be served hand and foot by someone? Or will you be learning and doing and exploring...? Interesting to think about. What is the ideal heaven Experience? Will you be given all the answers of the universe? Or will God expect you to find out the secrets for yourself?
