A "Timely" Subject
Today is The Day
He is my Everything
Well hi there! For the next few minutes, if don't
mind? Set aside what ever you're doing and take the opportunity to read
this, will you please?
Have you ever wondered about what the crucifixion and DEATH of Jesus Christ was like SCIENTIFICALLY speaking? I did and found the information very heart rending. I hope it touches your heart as it did mine.
At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.
At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals condemned were to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet.
Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long.
The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly portrayed in paintings and statues. The Romans, experts at devising excruciating torture for their enemies, had discovered there's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew too that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist that tendon would tear and break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could breath.
Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could not support Himself with His legs because of the pain so He was forced to alternate between arching His back then using His legs just to continue to breath.
Imagine, if you can, the struggle, the pain, the suffering, the courage.
Jesus Christ endured this reality for over 3 hours.
Yes, over 3 hours! Can you imagine enduring this kind of suffering? This kind of agonizing pain?
A few minutes before He died, Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water from his wounds. From common images we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound to His side. But do we realize His wounds were actually made in his body? While He was on earth His body was capable of every iota of suffering that ours is.
A hammer driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped and an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a Roman guard piercing His side with a spear to make certain He was indeed dead. n The soldier not realizing as he pierced Jesus side he was an instrument of God, fulfilling Scripture written hundreds of years previously in Isaiah 53. .
Before the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and beaten unmercifully with a whip with cords which had embedded bone and metal in it.. "By His stripes we are healed"-(Isaiah 53:5) The whipping was so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His face was torn and His beard literally ripped from His face!
The crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp, as could be seen from the blood pouring down His face.. Most men would not have survived this torture. Finally He had no more blood to bleed out from this garment of humanity He wore. Now only water poured forth from His wounds. Until when the soldier pierced His side and blood and water gushed forth. That was the last of the Messiah's blood this bloodthirsty crowd would see this day. A Day unlike any other in human His-Story.
Did you know, scientifically speaking of course, that the human adult body contains about 3.5 liters (just less than a gallon) of blood. Jesus poured out-(to cover mankind's sins), all 3.5 liters of His blood; He had three nails hammered into his members; a crown of thorns on his head and, beyond that, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His chest!
All these without mentioning the humiliation He endured for our sakes as He passed by the jeering, mocking crowd, while they spat in His face as He carried His own cross for almost 2 kilometers. They hurled stones at Him as He struggled beneath it's weight. (The cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for it's higher part, where His hands were nailed.)
Made all the heavier by all of our sins that He was willingly taking upon Himself, so that we could, if we so chose to, be saved, forgiven and redeemed to God the Father through God the Son, by the Power of God, the Holy Spirit.
Jesus had to endure this experience, so that you and I can have free access to God. When He said "It is finished" the veil which separates
the holy of Holies was rent into, His flesh was that "veil" that now gave all mankind that would choose to believe in Him free access to the Father. For Jesus, when He ascended back into Heaven became our Mediator. He is the ONLY Mediator, there is NONE Other besides He.
No, no one forced Him to come to earth and give of Himself as no Other ever had before or EVER could. His motive, His heartitude, if you will? Was love. It still is, that is why He delays a little longer.. For love of YOU. Yes, Jesus volunteered to do this, for the Father first of all, and then for the likes of His creation, you and I?
His love endures all and still yearns for none to be lost and die eternally damned to hell without Him. The Love of Jesus Christ, Messiah, is Pure, unselfish, unconditional LOVE.
Why did He do this? So that all of our sins could be "washed" away by the blood of His sacrifice, the Perfect Lamb of God.. All of them, with no exception! Don't ignore this situation. JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU! For ALL OF US. Yes, for you too, who now read this. Yet He will force Him Self on no one.
Do not believe that He only died for others (those who go to church or for pastors, bishops, etc). That's the devil's lie!! Jesus died, and rose again three days later for me...and for you! So that you too might LIVE!
It seems so easy to rant about this or that in these end- times in which we are now living. Granted this world's system is going through much upheaval. With the "Prince of the power of the air", sensing his time is growing ever shorter ... I assure you that it will only grow worse. FAR, FAR worse than you or I ,can imagine in the worst of our nightmares.
Jesus said of these same days in Matthew 24:
"Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,'and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." (Labor pains which begin and grow worse in intensity as the time for the actual birth to occur)
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of Me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will
grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation, 'spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!"
"Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened."
"At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'There He is! 'do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time."
"So if anyone tells you, 'There He is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, "Here He is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather."
"Immediately after the distress of those days- 'the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken."
"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with Power and great Glory. And He
will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other."
"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away."
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken (Rapture)and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one wil be taken and the other left."
"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour
when you do not expect Him."
"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose Master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, He will put him in charge of all his possessions."
"But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing
Accept the reality, PLEASE, accept the truth that JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD. (John 14:6)
I pray dear Lord for this brother or sister who may pass by this blog today. I pray Father, that You lead him/her not into temptation, but deliver him/her from the evil one. In Jesus' name, amen..
Jesus said in Matthew 10:32 & 33): "Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven; but whosoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven".
I acknowledge before the entire world via the internet, that I BELIEVE in Christ Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. If you do not yet know Him, I pray that you will. You do not know Who you are missing! Yes, I DO declare it from the heavens where the satellites take part in the transference of information from one part of the world to the others-->I LOVE ALMIGHTY GOD. HE IS MY SOURCE OF LIFE AND HE IS MY SAVIOR. IT IS HE WHO SET ME FREE FROM THE BONDAGE'S OF MY SINS AND ADDICTIONS.. IT IS HE WHO GIVES MY BODY BREATH WHICH IS KEEPING ME ALIVE UNTIL I HEAR HIS CALL TO "Come up Here Church".
He is my Everything, Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me". Philippians 4:13.
This is the simple proof. If you love God and you believe and trust in salvation through Christ Jesus? Accept Him today, tomorrow is not promised any of us. His says in His Word that "Today is the day of salvation..."
God has plans for you, Are YOU up for it after reading what He experienced on your behalf?! May God bless your life!
