A Trip To Manifest Station

Hello and thank you for taking a moment to peruse this hub. I would like to share with you a small moment in my past which has had a profound impact on my beliefs in regards to manifestation and what is possible in this universe. This happened way before the book The Secret brought manifestation to the mainstream and has left me with the knowledge that we truly can alter our reality through meditation and other processes. I hope that you will find it at least somewhat intriguing as your proceed on your own individual path to enlightenment.

So this incident took place when I was probably about 11 or 12 years old and my mother sent me on an errand to go rent a movie from the local movie store back when vhs tapes were the hottest thing and Blockbuster and mom and pop movie rental businesses were doing very well. She handed me a five dollar bill and off I went on my bicycle to grab the newest release. Now the movie rental business was some blocks away so it probably took something like twenty minutes or so to reach the destination where I picked out the movie. If my memory serves correctly I believe it was John Grisham's Pelican Brief and renting it was no problem as the owner did not seem to mind loaning me the PG13-rated film. But after everything was rang up and I reached for the five dollar bill I realized that I did not have it on me and set off to return to our house and let my mother know about the bad news.

On the way home I looked to and fro with no sign of the money and so when I got to the house I told the story about how I had gotten to the register and realized that I had lost the money. I guess I was thinking that she would give me some more to go get the rental but instead she just told me to go back out and look for it. So that is what I did. Somehow in my mind came the thought that if I could ride my bike with my eyes closed for 20 seconds then I would find the money. Now I do not know exactly how that thought came to me but it did. So as I was riding back towards the store I would close my eyes but could only keep them closed for 10 seconds or so until I would become scared that I was going to run off the road or run into something. This happened probably close to 10 times or more and each attempt I would reopen my eyes before the agreed upon time had been met. I was probably about 3/4 of the way back to the movie store when finally, with all the faith in me, I closed my eyes and rode for the 20 seconds that I had imagined. I stopped the bike and opened my eyes. When I looked down on the ground the $5 bill was lying by the curb right next to me.

There is definitely something to manifestation. Now I don't know that it's possible to manifest everything or else I'd probably be writing this from on top a pile of cash. Some might say, and perhaps correctly, that I just have not obtained the total belief strong enough to do such things. I also believe that there is stronger power when groups meditate, pray, and manifest together. Good luck on your journey to enlightenment. In Lak'ech.

I really enjoyed reading this hub. Manifestation is a very powerful tool, if we believe. It's funny that as children, we are so open to information and have so much access to the powers the human mind holds. However, as we grow up, we forget that the ability to do the same things and believe the same things no longer exists or is very difficult to accept. This was very well written. Thank you.
