A Way Through a Mountain Surmounting Barriers
The other option is to speak to the mountain to move. Matthew 21:21
Destroying the Confidence of the Enemy
Christ was given to mankind by God to surmount the ultimate barriers that separated mankind from God. Similarly, people are placed in your life as gifts, to help you along your destination. However, mountains stand as barriers in the way of your destiny. Ordained paths takes one through mountains into certain danger ultimately designed to bring glory to God.
We do not choose the people that harbor our blessings. These unlikely visitors, from varied backgrounds come into our lives unexpected and leave unforgotten.
Your enemies usually out number your helpers. Enemies stand as barriers upon life's terrain. Their presence evokes fear into people. As certain groups of Canaanites tried to block Israel's destination to the Promised Land while in the process of bringing God's glory to the fore-front in creating the setting for the birth of Christ.
Mountain Peaks were Safe Havens
In Biblical settings mountains represented kingdoms. Fortified cities were built upon a summit's peak to provide a limited access point, giving defense and an optimal level of visibility from a summit’s peak, for the protection of the inhabitants and ultimately a king. The physical landscape provided a natural defense and possibly shielded an enemy as the Ancient Israelite viewed the earlier inhabitants of their Promised Land.
Ancient Kingdoms in the Bible
In the Old Testament, Mount Hebron was given to Caleb, yet still afterwards he faced Amorites, Anakims and Jebusites entrenched in the mountain that was given to him as an inheritance. Consequently, after battle, he gained this region and it became a possession of his family there still existed a political hierarchy entrenched which was the real enemy. In many cases God commanded the people to destroy all that had a heart beat including all beasts as Samuel instructed King Saul (Israel's first king). However, many times the animals were kept alive (as when Joshua defeated Canaanites) and in some cases the women were spared (Midianite women help repopulate the tribe of Benjamin). In each case the Rule of God remained intact and all challengers failed.
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" Romans 8:35
Who Shall Separate me from God's Love
There is no greater danger in life than to be misled away from your godly purpose. Satan knows that Christians were called to sanctification and holiness; so, he is on-task continually to stop you from being holy. Satan stands in opposition, working through people to inspire a rise in your flesh (carnal nature) that your path to holiness is blocked. He discourages Christians through people we know. Satan will use anybody to stop you from getting that what Christ died to deliver to you. He seeks to make Christ's death of non affect in your life.
These stand as mountains and exist only to promote disunity primarily from within the family, then our communities and on. Promoting poverty through attrition and depression. These are more likely the who not the what, that is so misquoted by well meaning folk when attempting to encourage themselves with the word (Romans 8:35). A force, an agent sent to demoralize your perspective on the things that strengthen are goats of Satan that are ever so-present. These promote spiritual famine, intellectual ineptness, emotional detachment and finally poverty of the will and poor health, all aimed at making the whole-man weak, frail and counter-productive. Posing to be the greatest of all time, We remain under constant attack from these goats, but, God always leads his sheep into pasture through mountains besides still waters. God fights for us! The righteous innocent blood of Jesus that is shed upon our hearts will never lose its power. In reality the goats are the frail ones (Isaiah 14:16).
“If ye have faith as a grain of a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove: and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
The ground that we are fighting to possess today is our own heart. After responding to the call of Christ we are washed clean, yet the works of the flesh, still resist the Spirit. Satan seeks to hinder God from wholly taking possession of us by making us stumble upon the path of holiness by appealing to our flesh.
As scientists use their intelligence to unravel mysteries hidden by God, we must be creative in our quest to remove any obstacle while on the path of holiness. Jesus also said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28, 30). Jesus was calling us to salvation, but once we are disciples we are to
bear each others’ burdens to fulfill the law of Christ (Gal 6:2).
Possessing a dedicated heart,we must carry our own cross upon the path of holiness, while casting down these governments of thrones or dominions, or principalities, or powers with the words from our mouth emptied of carnal pleasures and filled with the Holy Spirit. For the people of God the Maker of heaven and earth, Victory is eminent!
