" A woman’s greatest need is a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ."

A natural woman finds her satisfaction in the many things this world could offer. But most of the times, a woman always seeks her happiness in having a romantic relationship with a man. There are women who cannot survive without a relationship with a man. And there are women who cannot survive without eyeing a man.

You can very well observe this reality in the lives of many popular celebrities. Seemingly love or romance makes their world go round. There is one very popular actress who constantly finds for herself a man who will be the object of her affection. She had been in a series of relationships with men but all these relationships ended in a break up. After a break up, this woman will immediately find the next object of her affection. Seemingly, her life is centered on men and romance. This woman is just one among so many women in this generation.

I remember the Samaritan woman whom Jesus encountered during His earthly sojourn about two thousand years ago. The celebrity woman I cited here has no difference from the Samaritan woman Jesus encountered two thousand years ago. This Samaritan woman kept on seeking her happiness in men but never got satisfied just like many women in our time.

Only one relationship can satisfy a woman and that is a relationship with God through JesusChrist. How can we have this relationship ?

First a woman must acknowledge her real condition before God as it is written in Romans 3:10-12 NIV

“There is no one righteous, not even one ;

there is no one who understands ;

there is no one who seeks God.

All have turned away , they have together become worthless;

There is no one who does good , not even one, “

From the moment we are born, we seek our own happiness. Since then we always find ways to satisfy us and to make us happy. But most of the times we seek it in wrong places outside the center of God’s will. We tried to please ourselves apart from the ways of God. We live a life that is completely independent from Him. We are alienated from Him and His ways since birth.

As we live, we dream and make plans for ourselves not acknowledging God’s sovereignty over all things. We boast about our plans not realizing that only God can make them happen. Only God can make things happen. Events are happening here on earth as they were allowed by God to come to pass. We must be reminded of this constantly.

After acknowledging our sinful condition before God we must be warned by this passage:

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”

Romans 6:23 NIV

Sin has due punishment and that is death which implies second death which refers to the fiery lake of burning sulfur as it is written in Revelation 21:8

‘”But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars - they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

About two thousand years ago, God sent His only begotten Son to the world to be its Savior. JesusChrist, the Son of God dwelt among us as written by John in John 1:14 NIV

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. “

Jesus died on the cross, was buried and on the third day rose again from the dead. To be forgiven from our sins we must put our trust completely on Christ’s sacrifice on Mt. Calvary as the only sacrifice for the remission of our sins. This sacrifice is complete and there are no other sacrifice can suffice. Only then we will receive forgiveness from all our sins.

As it is written in Hebrews 10:10 ;

“And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of JesusChrist once and for all. “

Christ sacrifice on the cross is sufficient and complete.

After putting our faith on Christ’s finished work on the cross, we must completely surrender our lives to Christ’s Lordship by dethroning ourselves and forsaking our sinful lives. We must start now to live for the kingdom of God. Doing these acts will qualify us to be among God’s dearly loved children as it is written in John 1:12 NIV :

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. “

Accepting these truths of the Gospel and surrendering yourselves to the Lordship of Christ is the beginning of a relationship with God. You now belong to a new family, a Heavenly family. This relationship with God is the only one that truly satisfies for God alone never fails. His love alone endures forever. He alone can give a perfect unconditional love for He alone possesses a perfect heart. You must first be established in your relationship with God before you can be satisfied with anything else this world offers. Unless you establish yourself in your relationship with God, you will not be satisfied with a relationship with any man. You are not capable of loving unconditionally and selflessly unless you experience God’s unconditional love.
