Thanks to the Change By the Word Of God I'm Not What I Used to Be- I used to be.....But Now
"Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him, and let seven times pass over him." (Daniel 4:16 KJV) Only God can change a heart of those who allow Him. The Spirit of God uses His word to bring about a change to people who desire modification. Transformed by the Word of God- I used to be.....But Now, I am a new person. The Bible says in Ezekiel 36:26-27, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Moreover, I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws”. God's word will "change" you; it will give you the miracle of turning a compassionless heart into a caring one."
Every change occurs because God’s Word serves as a regular diet to the soul. For me, God's word assists me when being hurt and used was very painful. God’s Word teaches me, although people have allowed their heart to wax cold, and their ears are tedious of hearing, and their eyes are padlocked closed, and they seem to have no conscience whatsoever. I can still love and forgive them, because God has given me a new heart and a spirit that repaired all my hurt and pain change me into His child. As a unique individual, I have learned so much about myself and this transformation has freed me from what I used to be to what I am now.
I used to be so young and so naïve, but now, I’ve grown up and am wiser — I'm all for common sense, and have evolved into a person who listens to what you say, as well as look at the actions you display.
I used to allow family and friends to influence me on what to do and how to live my life.
But now, I stop just existing — I began living, not listening to influence and give out good advice.
I used to have a family that loved & cared about me, but now that changed, they do not care now.
I used to put myself last just to make sure family and friend’s needs, as well as wants, were met.
But now, I am loving and take care of me — I am growing into my own to live my life my way.
I used to believe being loyal to family and friends would mean that they would love and return loyalty to me.
But now, I know how to be loyal to only those who deserve and earn my loyalty, and that is how it should be.
I used to take excellent care of the family as well as friends and left myself un-cared for in many ways.
But now, I only look out for people who know how to appreciate me and motivate to bring out the best in me.
I used to be so close-minded and closed myself inside a small box with no hope of success.
But now, I am open-minded, and I see more than one side of life — I live life to my best.
I used to be tired, annoyed, and so intense, trying to please others.
But now, I’ve learned to relax, no longer frustrated, and am an excellent and useful mother.
I used to do things family and friends’ ways just because I wanted acceptance and love.
But now, I know that I do not need other’s approval to feel love — I let go of the need for approval, and I am loved by God above.
I used to allow friends and family to mold me into their creations.
But now, I allow God to be the head of my life. I am blessed, a thinker, and thank God for taking me off of roots plantation.
If you accept being the “used to person,” it's time to stop being the "used to person." Sometimes, you have to look at life from a different perspective and be the “but now person." When we practice being the “used to person," we make excuses for wrong actions and allow others to tell us how to live and forget what it means to be intense and useful. But nothing takes the place of being yourself while accepting life from a different perspective.
Moreover, when you allow God’s Word to change you, He accepted you as you are and you come to understand about God’s grace. As you follow Him, you will find freedom and how to love devotedly, soulfully and unconditionally because His grace makes a powerful difference in your everyday life.
