Accountability in the Grave
Accountability in the Grave:-
In grave, first of all, two angels namely Munkar and Nakir come to the deceased man and they made him to sit. The deceased man feels as if he has just been awaked from a deep sleep. Two angles ask him following questions:-
Hadith No.1. Narrated Al-Bara' bin 'Azib : The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "When a faithful believer is made to sit in his grave, then (the angels) come to him and he testifies that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle. And that corresponds to Allah's statement: Allah will keep firm those who believe with the word that stands firm . . . (14.27). (Book #23, Hadith #450)
Hadith No.2. What do you know about this man (the Prophet Muhammad)?' Then the faithful believer (or Asma' said a similar word) will reply, 'He is Muhammad Allah's Apostle who had come to us with clear evidences and guidance and so we accepted his teachings and followed him. And he is Muhammad.' And he will repeat it thrice. Then the angels will say to him, 'Sleep in peace as we have come to know that you were a faithful believer.' On the other hand, a hypocrite or a doubtful person will reply, 'I do not know, but I heard the people saying something and so I said it.' (the same). " (Book #3, Hadith #86)
Hazrat Fatima and her grave:-
On her death, Janazah of Hazrat Fatima (R.A.) was lifted by four persons; namely, Hazrat Ali (R.A.), Hazrat Imam Hassan, Imam Hussain and Hazrat Abu Zar Ghafari. When they reached near the grave, Hazrat Abu Zar Ghaffari addressed the grave and said; “O grave! Do you know whom we have brought to you?”
i. She is the daughter of Last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
ii. She is the wife of Hazrat Ali.
iii. She is the mother of Imam Hussain and Hassan.
On that moment people present there listened the following reply of the grave:-
“O man! Why you are telling me that she is wife, daughter or mother of so and so. I am not a place where kinship, cost or relationship has any importance whatsoever. No one could get rid of me unless and until he has the heart pure from vices and his deeds are purely for the Almighty.
