Redemption and Power in the Blood
Since sin is Adamic in the heart of mankind. Then it follows that it is also true that I was born, that in fact we all are naturally born, into this world sinners-separated from the Holy God. Yet the love, Grace and Mercy of God provided not a way, but THE ONLY WAY, back to Him.
Before the foundation of this world He created, He knew that there would be only One Who could be that perfect Sacrifice to atone for the collective sins of humanity. At the cost of Himself "God demonstrated His love towards us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Being the Omniscient One Who sees the end from the beginning and the future from the past, all at the same exact time, He provided for our reconciliation even before that first sin in the Garden of Eden ever took place.
So the LORD God said to the serpent:
“ Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel."
What better help could He have sent to this earth over 2,000 years ago than Jesus the Christ? Jesus, His One and only begotten Son Who came into this world for precisely this reason: to redeem fallen mankind-to God our Creator. John testifies in John 1:11-13:
He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his Name. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Being of the Adamic lineage we innately "naturally" find it far easier to tell a lie in a jam than to tell the truth and risk getting into trouble. We find it easier to be hateful and hate-filled rather than loving and thoughtful. To be unkind and cold-hearted rather than emulate the heart of Christ Himself. To even use the example of the Good Samaritan that Christ spoke of in the Bible who went out of his way to help someone in trouble.
We, in the "natural", find it easier to be selfish, rather than giving to those in need. Rather than share that which God has provided us, we selfishly cling to that which we have like a squirrel storing away nuts for the winter. In this we are refusing to trust God to make provision of more of what He Himself supplied for us in the first place. Our actions prove our disbelief and our distrust that He will do what He says He will do.
Some of us have a difficult time realizing that without His provision we would have nothing, nada, zilch. All that each of us has comes from the loving Hand of Almighty God. The very One Who spoke the words, "I will supply all your needs according to my riches in Glory." The hairs of our head are numbered...our very next breath and heartbeat is given to us by His will alone. He is the Author of Life.
Even our jobs through which He has made provision for our shelter, food and clothing is because He has through others provided them. All He asks of us is that we share with other people in the world who are far less fortunate than we in the US have been Under God. Is that too much for Him to ask do you think? He Who has given ALL for us. You and I? We ARE His hands and feet upon this earth, if indeed we are His at all.
I've read statements on the internet where some say that they do not "believe" in sin. Or God or judgment, etc.
To these I say that I, no not I alone, but the Word of the Living God assures you that sin is not an illusion. It has become a basic part of the DNA of human character ever since Eve allowed herself to be tricked by
Satan. Eve was beguiled and lied to---Adam chose to.
However despite being born with the Adamic natures, I thank the Lord all is not lost! There is the most wonderful Good News I have to share with you!! NO ONE HAS die without God, no one HAS to go to Hell. No, Not one single soul HAS to. THe Lord our God certainly doesn't wish this for you. In fact.... He paid a tremendous Price for us so that we could spend eternity with Him and also escape His Wrath when He pours it out against sin and rebellion upon this wicked fallen world that is drunk underneath the influence of the devil. "Run by the devil" for the most part. Yeah-He won that earthly sovereignty from Adam that God had given to him after He was created. Through Satan and his demons we have every horror of war, every perversion imaginable and not imaginable for some of us, of sin, diverse varieties of sickness and agonizing deaths.
But not to worry-Christ will soon return and take it back forever!
Paid in full is written on our "account" in the book of Life in Heaven the very moment He knocks on the doors of our hearts and we say "Yes Lord, Please, Come in.":)
Within man there is also built within us, as it were, a Psyche of self-condemnation. We all have the moral freedom TO sin, yet through Christ are offered the one and only way to overcome this sin nature which is prevalent within each one of us.
I testify to you that there is cleansing and there is Power in the precious blood of the Lamb of God!
As sin is Adamic in the heart of man, so too is man born with a certain amount of "moral content."
Take neural patterns for instance. Birds are born with the neural patterns built within them to fly, etc. Ducks to swim. Every kind of creature is born with certain neural patterns that cause each species to behave in certain ways. Bees build hives and pollinate flowers, spiders build webs, etc. etc. etc.
Cerebrolspinal-(neural)-patterns are like "programs" within each of God's creatures. Somewhat like we program computers and the like to behave in certain ways. Well....kinda like that.
Humanity however, being created a little lower than the angels and higher than the animals have been given by our Creator the gift of free will. Not only are we created in the image of God. We have the abilities To feel, to know, to do --or not to do. To CHOOSE.
That is a great thing -a personal responsibility and a tremendous gift that God has bestowed upon us. He didn't do it for us, but for Him. He wanted no one to be forced or "pre-programmed" into loving, obeying and following Him. He wants it to be our free-will CHOICE alone to choose Him. Or not. He has left it up to us to CHOOSE.
And once we have seen the light, (for as the apostle John said "Jesus is the light that lighteth every man"), He expects for us to flee the darkness and abandon the works of the "god" of this world. We will, in fact, want this for our selves.
He presents to each of us many opportunities throughout our lives to say yes to Him and to be reconciled by way of the cross upon which He gave His Son as a ransom for all of us. Yet no one ever knows which opportunity will be their last. For no man, woman or child knows that day of their death. "Today is the day of salvation."Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.
Jesus gave His life-no one took it--He GAVE it--for ALL men, not just a few-but ALL. In fact...He died for YOU. :) And rose again the third day so that we too can have eternal life with Him when we too are resurrected.
Once the Lord has drawn us unto Himself by invitation of the Holy Spirit and we have accepted Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are called to be not only "hearers" but DO-ERS of the Mosaic Law. That Mosaic Law which He has written upon human tablets called hearts.
Have you ever contemplated that when we judge another person, therein is revealed our nature? For example, people may lie to you, but lie to them and watch their reaction. Food for thought.
When I am drawn away by my own lusts and tempted to sin, even if I am not consciously aware that this is occurring? It is still me who is responsible for the choice to participate in that temptation, or not to participate. The responsibility of that action lies with me.
It is not Almighty God, nor Satan that MAKES us sin> It is all about our individual choices. God gave us all free will to say yay or nay-and will if sought, give us His spiritual power to be able to say "nay" to that temptation and stick to it-one day at a time. No one knows the truth of this better than I, a miraculously set free by the Grace of God ex-drug and alcohol addict who suffered within a prison of her own flesh for approximately 36 years. :) What He did for me He will do for you if you want Him to. "Ask and ye shall receive."
In my own personal opinion the basis of Christian ethics is to share the Gospel first, and also to stand UP against evil and injustice and be counted in this world. For God. For Christ Jesus and for Right. No shucking, no jiving and no more condemnation. Black IS black and White is white-there are no gray areas between right and wrong in the eyes and heart of Almighty God.
The difference between secular morals and Christianity is that no transformation of their character / their "inner man" has taken place. Theirs is from the outside-in and cannot be trusted. There has been no conviction, acknowledgment, or repentance of their sins before God. Thus there has been no conversion of their soul.
It is only through the sacrificial life, death and shed blood of the Christ of Christianity that true conversion takes place within the inner man. From the inside out. For if it is a work of the Holy Spirit of God it is to be trusted because of this. It is not of men's volition, but of God's.
Through His Holy Spirit that He sent back to earth to indwell every believer after He returned to sit on high at the right hand of the throne of God the Father in Heaven-we-each and every single Christian has become empowered by that very same Power that raised Christ from the dead 3 days after they crucified Him for OUR sins.
We are followers of Christ whose consciences remind us that we have been bought for the highest price and have an obligation to demand of our flesh to do right and avoid wrong. Our conscience not only demands this of us if we truly love the One who loved us first? It also stands in judgment by examining our own motives in any given situation, decision or instance.
Obedience to God = Right = conscience that commends us.
Disobedience = sin = conscience that condemns us.
Bad behavior for such as those who are called by Christ
will always end up in bad feelings and guilty consciences as a result of any unconfessed sin in our lives. BUT, the result of good behavior that is the fruit of the Spirit as we yield and submit to the 3rd Person of the Trinity? Equals joy and good feelings through which strength in God garners for us fortitude for the spiritual battles that await us in the days ahead.
Keep in mind though, they are just battles for Christ has already won the War!!
Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. --Isaiah 55:6, NLT
