MATTHEW CHAPTER 6, VERSES 9-13

The Best Way To Pray In The Morning

" After this manner, therefore pray ye: OUR FATHER, WHICH ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD. AND FORGIVE OUR DEBTS, AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS. AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL: FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY, FOR EVER, AMEN."

A New Way To Greet Morning

In the morning
I wake up to the
New Day
I praise the
Lord
And I Thank Him
For giving me a
New Start.

In the morning
I Focus To Do
His Will.
This desire
Keeps me straight
On His Path
For A New life.

Today
Starts the
first day
Of the rest of
your life
Depending on
how you begin.
Great things
will follow
When you
decide to
Ask His
Son Jesus
Into your
Brand New Day.

On this Morning
I am at Peace
With His Promise
That Thy
Will Be Done
All the rest of
My Life.

Amen.

Very good reminder that we should wake up to a new day...not dragging along those problems of yesterday...'tis a hard deal sometimes, but prayer makes THE difference. Liked the version by Michael Smith, but the second video was quite unique! Thanks for a great hub!

The video has been blocked for copyright reasons here in my country. I missed it. But the poem has served me my purpose- to start to pray my early morning prayer with The Lord's Prayer. Thank you.

CMCastro, That is a beautiful morning prayer and that is always the best way to start the day. I do look the day as this is life right now, yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not here, so praying first sets the tone of the day.

Thanks for this. Sometimes in our haste, we forget to give thanks to God when we open our eyes in the morning. Whatever time of the day, we ought to thank God for everything that He has given us.

Very good, CMCastro. Thanks for sharing this. I have learned to look at each new day as a new creation of God as it never existed before and it is a day and time He has given to me. Therefore, it is a day I must follow His direction for me.
