Another Day is More Than Another Dollar
I often hear the phrase, "Another day, another dollar". Well, another day is a bit more than another dollar. ANOTHER DAY IS ANOTHER BLESSING! If God did not grant us another day, we would not have the opportunity to even think about making another dollar. Another day is first and foremost, another blessing. Let's take a look at why.
It is of the lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23) KJV
Each day that God grants us, is a blessing. A new day means a new opportunity, a second chance to make things right, and most importantly, a chance to create a relationship with God. It's by God's grace and mercy, that we do not completely destroy ourselves. His compassion never fails. His grace and mercy are new every morning. We have an endless supply of God's grace and mercy. To know that God's grace, mercy and compassion are restored for us every morning, is a blessing. He will never run out.
The last scripture that comes to mind is James 4:14, of the King James Bible. This is a very important scripture because many do not realize the blessing of another day. The scripture reads: where as you do not know what will happen tomorrow, for your life. It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. (James 4:14) This scripture tells us tomorrow is not promised. It is for this reason, another day is another blessing. We should live each day as if it were our last. We should draw closer to Christ. Each day is a gift from God, a blessing. God doesn't owe us anything. So, if it be God's will that you see tomorrow, start the day by telling Jesus, "Thank you".
May God add a blessing to all whom read these words.
