Are UFOs Religious Entities?

Updated on June 17, 2012

Could E.T be Holy?

I know this may sound like a joke or a cruel attempt to harm the foundation of Christianity, but this has just come to my attention. After years of studying UFOs and extraterrestrial beings, I have come to the conclusion that out of the millions of planets in the universe, the chances of Humans being the only intelligent beings is highly unlikely. There are way too many planets out there to even consider labeling ourselves as the almighty species of the universe. But something else came to mind... Are UFOs religious entities?

I found it to be very funny when the idea was given to me from my lab partner in class. By me not being an open-minded individual (back then anyway), I dismissed the idea as being "science fiction". Then 2 years later, the idea just surfaced to my mind while I was surfing Google for cheap video games. So I began searching for information related to UFOs and Christianity and found some information that shed some light on this particular topic.

The original Mona Lisa painting?

First I would like to say Google Images sucks ass. Now, the original Mona Lisa painting had something very interesting in the background. It had what looked to be an image of the traditionally spotted "Unidentified Flying Objects" seen today. But now searching the internet, this painting no longer exists. It may be apart of a mass cover up lol.

Wouldn't it be so easy for someone from a time where aircraft (or any kind of vehicle for that matter) didn't exist to misinterpret an UFO visitation for a divine entity? Cultures all around the world tell of "beings from the Heavens" coming down and teaching them ways of life. Angels are always associated with bright, beautiful lights in the sky, and so are UFOs. This may not be enough information to change anyone's mind, but its something to keep you thinking. I mean, its logical, right?

Fun Facts!!

  1. The Great Pyramid is the only survivor out of all seven ancient wonders, which is said to have taken 20 years to build. Scientists believe it was built in 10, 500 B.C. There were no civilized human beings on the planet during this time. It stands in the center of the Earth with a latitude and longitude of 31N by 31W. Its a near perfect square.
  2. Egyptians have hieroglyphics dating back thousands of years ago depicting images of modern day helicopters and submarines.

I think people could possibly have been describing the same thing Angels/Aliens....chariots/U.f.o.'s....beams of light coming down from the heavens. With the great expectations of change for our world, said to be coming in 2012 ,maybe we won't have to wait too long before the truth is revealed. Good hub for debate well done!

Funny topic! I was thinking it in a slightly different view but the topic did come into my mind. However, even if its UFO, why does that make that much of a difference in believing in angels/demons/God? Can't it be that we are now finding some sort of "scientific" evidence that they do exist? Even if they exist, I don't think that my belief in God changes. I believe it's as it should be if it happens like that.

Angel is actually a greek word and the true english translation is "messenger from the sky"...not "being with wings sent from God", which you would think it would be. Also, in the Bible it talks of Elijah (I believe) coming down from the skies in a fiery chariot. Given the description and the fact that Chariots were the only mode of transportation that they had to compare or knew of that could come close to description, it makes one wonder. I personally have always been of the opinion that it's a depressing thought and I'm not arrogant enough to believe we are the most intelligent things in this great big universe....

      Good Hub, thought provoking!

It is possible that UFO's are in some way connected to the omnipresence of God, and His ever present Holy Spirit. Man has been observing the heavens for a really long time and there is much documented phenomena of incidences. Good question.
