Are We Like Flowers?

The similarities between humans and flowers

Wow, the flowers in that video are beautiful aren't they?

I believe God looks down upon us and thinks the same, but...

Some of the flowers in that video are actually weeds. They vine out and kill other plants. They look nice and pretty, but they are killers. It can be the same with humans. Some can be very nice on appearance, but are actually being controlled by evil forces. God has to weed the garden at times and pull them out. Sometimes he allows them to grow and will not pull them until He knows He is just pulling them and not the "good" plants.

Some plants and flowers are not all that pretty, but they feed us or other life forms. they are good but you cannot tell they are and sometimes we pull them thinking they are bad. It is a good thing that God knows. He looks on the plant, not the appearance.

Some of the flowers are young and need lots of water and nutrients. Some have adapted to their surroundings, while others are out of place, but are still beautiful where they are.

Yes, we humans are like the flowers. God knows how to handle His glorious garden of flowers. He will weed it the way He knows best.

It is not our job to do the weeding. It is our job to help water and feed the plants around us. We need to share the water God feeds us with with the younger, weaker flowers around us.

Don't allow the weeds to overtake you. Cry out to God if they seem to be choking you; God will weed them away.

If you feel you are not a beautiful plant or flower, keep in mind that plants such as corn and soybeans are not pretty plants, but they feed millions daily.

We all have God's design and His love. We are not all the same kind of plants or flowers, but He made us all. He can even take the weeds and turn them into good plants, if they will accept it.

It all comes down to the greatest of all. The Rose who was killed and came back as a Rose tree. Jesus Christ is that Rose. The Rose arose from a grave showing us all that death has no power.

Flowers die daily and when they do, many more similar flowers spring to life. If we die many will spring to life. I do not speak of physical death, but death of our old, sinful ways.

We are like flowers--we are in God's garden. Just picture that and know that He has blessed us.

Conclusion

As times were being difficult today, I cried out to God. I felt an overwhelming desire to make the video up above and these words just followed.

I hope and pray they made sense to you.

I know that by doing this hub, I feel God's presence and I know that all the stresses and cares will be overcome.

1 Peter 1:24-25 says: For "All human life is like grass, and all its glory is like a flower in the grass. The grass dries up and the flower drops off, but the word of the Lord lasts forever." Now this word is the good news that was announced to you.

Praise be to God and to Jesus Christ; our Lord and Savior...and mighty Rose!
