Are We in the Third Seal?

Updated on July 8, 2012

We need to share the wisdom

Are these the signs of the third seal?

When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two poundsof wheat for a day’s wages, and six poundsof barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine Revelation 6:5&6

T o understand the book of revelation we must also understand the terminology and the times.

Who is opening the scrolls?

In ancient times inheritances were written on scrolls. Large papers and notarized with seals. Only the one worthy could open the seals which was the first born. Isn’t Jesus mentioned as the first born? Jesus is the one God gave the inheritance of the kingdom of Heaven to. Therefore it is He who is opening the seal.

Why mention wheat and barley?

Back in Johns day poor people ate wheat and barley. It is interesting to note that in, I think, the sixteenth century the rich people could afford to take the brown husk off the wheat. This was a symbol of wealth. Could that mean that rich people are getting richer and poor people are getting poorer and many are being driven into poverty? It was also stupid because it is the husk where all the good vitamins are. Think of that when choosing to buy white bread or rice. Sorry for temporary going off course. Doesn’t this mean massive poverty? Could this mean the poor are getting poorer and many people are being driven into poverty?

Why not hurt the wine or oil?

Back in Johns day oil and wine were a symbol of wealth. Could this mean the rich peoples wealth will not only be protected but indeed increase?

Let’s do the math.

Now then, let’s add it up in today’s language. It will take a day’s wages to buy enough food for a day. That means people are getting poorer and poorer. Has there ever been any other time in history where there is so much poverty over the entire world? What has happened to the middle class in Europe and North America? We need not look at Africa or Asia. Why not look in your own house?

Has there ever been a time in history where the wealth was in so few hands and it was so extravagant? Aren’t there people now who make more in one year than some countries do?

What are you to do?

If you are a Christian, does this not move you to want to share Jesus with others so they will avoid the seven trumpets? I do not mean the anti-Christ way. You know, the Bible thumpers who shove a Bible in people’s faces and tell tem they are going to hell. Think about it? If someone attacks you, won’t you become defensive? Well, when you shove your religion down someone’s throat or are condemning someone, aren’t you attacking them? Won’t that drive them away from Christ, not to Him? Why not instead, start a home Bible study with some Christians and invite someone you know who is not a Christian to join? Why not make it like a pot lick dinner? Why not think of someone and put them on a prayer list and pray for them to open their heart’s to Jesus?

"Would that God would make hell so real to us that we cannot rest; heaven so real that we must have men there; Christ so real that our supreme motive and aim shall be to make the Man of Sorrows the Man of Joy by the conversion to him of many." – J. Hudson Taylor

Prayer: Please Jehovah Sabbath (God of the Heavens) open my eyes to all opportunities to humbly, with grace and respect, share Jesus with others. Please provide me with the tools necessary to accomplish this critical task and the people needed to help me.

Father I deeply want ______ (think of three people who you would like to come to Christ and write in their names) to accept your wonderful offer to join Your marvelous family. I desire to see them in Heaven with me, rather than in Hell with Satan and his demons. I ask this in the name of the one who holds the key to Heaven, Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

      Hi JY.

I write all my atricles on a word document. Next they are cut and pasted onto this web site. After that they are put on another word document called used articles. These are material to be used to publish books later. I intend on publishing them as and indie.I am just learning to acomplish that.

Anyways. many times what is on the word document comes out differantly when put here.

I think the important thing to remember is the message, not the delivery.

I encourage constructive criticism, however sometimes it is difficult to tell the differance between constructive criticism and negative nellies.

Being a writer for so long, I am sure you have encountered your share of the negative nellies.

      God bless you.

You are more than welcome. Even after 30 years as a writer, I still make a few. But, if we can't help each other, then it is a sad world indeed.

      Hi JY.

      Thank you.

As for the spelling: If it is Bible verses or quotes they are copied from the sources as they are written.

As I writer I am sure you are aware that there is a differance between Bitish English and United States English.

I do proff read the articles before they are published, however sometimes we all make mistakes. Welcome to life right. I don't know anyone who is perfect.

After reading it some mistakes did come to me.

Thank you for your kind suggestion.

      God bless you.

Good material Teach. Voted up. But you need to proofread a little more and tighten up on the punctuation.
