Are You Part of God's Organization or the Man-Made Church System?

Updated on July 10, 2017

PlanksandNails' goal is to be a catalyst in encouraging the followers of Christ to pursue Biblical truth for themselves.

Today, we are in the age where what is called 'Christianity' has infiltrated most of society. Their leaders and their subservient are sent throughout the world to propagate their message of their denominational agendas. These religious men organize themselves into a religious body that compromises of cells, organs and parts where they hire someone to be their head. All one has to do is peruse the countless religious websites on the Internet and it takes little effort to find out who is the founder or 'father' of the particular religious group.

As the church grows, men must gather and have counsels to confer among each other the marketing vision of their 'father.' The people believe that they are organizing the 'Church of God' as they sit in what they deem to be the 'Temple of God.'

Who puts himself against all authority, lifting himself up over all which is named God or is given worship; so that HE TAKES HIS SEAT IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, putting himself forward as God? – 2 Thessalonians 2:4

Religious men have appointed themselves as heads of their church organizations.

You have probably heard of them as they are called the 'Church Fathers' as it points back to a particular man and his brand of doctrine. What is interesting is this man is never Christ.

God’s Organization or Man’s?

The ekklesia of Christ are organized in a much different way. It is not men who organize, but the Spirit of Christ. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, God has always intended to do things in a different manner that are done by His ways, not by man's ways.

To give them a fair head-dress in place of dust, the oil of joy in place of the clothing of grief, praise in place of sorrow; so that they may be named TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE PLANTING OF THE LORD, and so that he may have glory. – Isaiah 61:3

If the trees are not planted of God, then the trees must organize themselves. When trees try to organize trees, something quite interesting takes place.

One day the trees went out to MAKE A KING for themselves; and they said to the olive-tree, BE KING OVER US. But the olive-tree said to them, Am I to give up my wealth of oil, by which men give honour to God, and go waving over the trees? Then the trees said to the fig-tree, YOU COME AND BE KING OVER US. But the fig-tree said to them, Am I to give up my sweet taste and my good fruit and go waving over the trees? Then the trees said to the vine, YOU COME AND BE KING OVER US....

Am I to give up my wine, which makes glad God and men, to go waving over the trees? Then all the trees said to the thorn, YOU COME AND BE KING OVER US. And THE THORN SAID to the trees, If it is truly your desire to make me your king, then come and PUT YOUR FAITH IN MY SHADE; AND IF NOT, MAY FIRE COME OUT OF THE THORN, burning up the cedars of Lebanon. – Judges 9:8-15

When people desire to have a king over them in the church system they have built for themselves, they will hire a 'thorn.' This is the worst tree of the bunch where a man desires to take a lofty position to lord himself over others. The deal is, if the 'thorn' is supposedly 'anointed' by them, then all others must submit to him. A refusal to submit would mean being devoured by fire.

Doesn’t this sound like a raw deal to you?

Yet all the other trees desired the thorn to be their head. The people rejected the true King for an imposter to rule over them instead.

Religious history attests to those who would not conform to the thorn’s dominion over them as their refusal meant being burned at the stake.

In Judges, Gideon was asked by the people to come and rule over them. He was considered a good tree, but good trees knew that promoting trees over other trees would not be about serving at all.

But Gideon said to them, I will not be a ruler over you, and my son will not be a ruler over you: IT IS THE LORD WHO WILL BE RULER OVER YOU. – Judges 8:23

One of Gideon’s sons desired a lofty position and promotion over the other trees. In his ambition, he killed sixty-nine of Gideon’s sons and was made king. He continued to be a thorn amongst all the other trees until he himself was slain.

Men’s attempt to organize themselves today always leads to corruption. They continue to fail in their understanding that there is only one who has been appointed King of kings and Lord of lords. In their behaviours, they continue to reject Kingdom principles for the ways of the world.

And the Lord said to Samuel, Give ear to the voice of the people and what they say to you: they have not been turned away from you, but they have been turned away from me, NOT DESIRING ME TO BE KING OVER THEM. – 1 Samuel 8:7

But THE PEOPLE GAVE NO ATTENTION TO THE VOICE OF SAMUEL; and they said, No, but we will have a king over us. – 1 Samuel 8:19

The people eventually got their wish.

Progressing to the New Testament, Christ taught the same principles of his Father.

And you may not be named guides: because one is your Guide, even Christ. BUT LET THE GREATEST AMONG YOU BE YOUR SERVANT. And whoever makes himself high will be made low, and whoever makes himself low will be made high. – Matthew 23:10-12

The ecclesiastical men who promote the counterfeit church system want to be kings. Their servants are indoctrinated to believe that their ordained heads of their denominations will give them all the answers to their problems.

The Corrupt Church System

When people follow the ways and principles of the world, it will always lead to corruption. The corruption creates a need for the people desiring to have someone to come and take away their problems. What they fail to recognize is that it in their desire to have someone rule over them, they create the very corruption that gives them so many problems.

Gideon refused to be ruler because he knew that God was already their King. In the New Testament, the apostles did not appoint kings because they knew that Christ was appointed by his Father to be King.

The reason Christ was crucified was that he exposed the religious man who desired to have elite status as 'kings,' which he clearly opposed.

But you may not be named Teacher: for one is your teacher, and YOU ARE ALL BROTHERS. – Matthew 23:8

But Jesus said to them, You see that the rulers of the Gentiles are lords over them, and their great ones have authority over them. LET IT NOT BE SO AMONG YOU: but if anyone has a desire to become great among you, LET HIM BE YOUR SERVANT; And whoever has a desire to be first among you, LET HIM TAKE THE LOWEST PLACE – Matthew 20:25-27

Overlords of the Church

Church leaders have twisted Scripture for their own gain and take the term 'overseer' to mean overlord, and 'oversight' to mean lording.

Oversight is really synonymous with serving and has nothing to do with having having arbitrary authority as a religious overlord.

Keep watch over the flock of God which is in your care, using your authority, not as forced to do so, but gladly; and not for unclean profit but with a ready mind; NOT AS LORDS OVER GOD'S HERITAGE, but making yourselves examples to the flock. – 1 Peter 5:2-3

We can be sure that every man-made organization is an abomination in the sight of God. It is a storehouse of dead branches that are gathered to be burned. They have been the persecutors of God’s people since the time of Cain and Abel. They build their towers and have rejected the foundation stone by not building upon the rock. The result is counterfeit buildings are created with counterfeit builders.

Take note, all of you, and all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, WHOM YOU PUT TO DEATH ON THE CROSS, whom God gave back from the dead, even through him is this man now before you completely well. HE IS THE STONE WHICH YOU BUILDERS HAD NO USE FOR, but which has been made the chief stone of the building. – Acts 4:10-11

Christ said he would build his ekklesia, but the religious elite have rejected the Son of the living God for one of their own making. Biblical history attests to this all the way back to Genesis.

And they said, Come, let us make a town, and a tower whose top will go up as high as heaven; and LET US MAKE A GREAT NAME FOR OURSELVES – Genesis 11:4

And he saith unto me, 'To build to it a house in the land of Shinar.' And it hath been prepared and hath been placed there ON ITS BASE. – Zechariah 5:9-11

Nothing has really changed today. Religious men continue to build their foundations on sand. They do not understand that trees cannot organize trees as it will always lead to corruption.

God’s People are not confined inside Big Boxes

The erection of a religious buildings and calling it 'church' is a counterfeit and a deception.

To the great meeting and ekklesia of the first of those WHO ARE NAMED IN HEAVEN, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of good men made complete. – Hebrews 12:23

The ekklesia are of the firstborn who are of Christ as written in heaven, not on the membership certificates of religious social clubs confined to this corrupt world.

We are called to serve among equal brethren where one is our master, Christ our Saviour. No one else can take that role.

For three things the earth is moved, and there are four which it will not put up with: A SERVANT WHEN HE BECOMES A KING; a man without sense when his wealth is increased. – Proverbs 30:21-22

The genuine ekklesia of Christ will not be brought down by carnal men from their heavenly position to an earthly one. If they allow it, it becomes what is called 'church' today.

Jesus did not come to build Church buildings.
Jesus did not come to build Church buildings.

Babylon and all her harlots can be found upon the earth. Her builders and makers are men who desire earthly organization and carnal authority.

Just like Abraham, the ekklesia are the called put ones who focus on things from above and understand that their maker and builder is from above. Their places of worship are not bound to buildings built with man’s hands.

Unfortunately, most will continue to reject the one true builder of the ekklesia for man’s earthly organizations instead.

But still, THE MOST HIGH HAS NOT HIS RESTING-PLACE IN HOUSES MADE WITH HANDS, as the prophet says, Heaven is the seat of my power, and earth is a resting-place for my feet: what sort of house will you make for me, says the Lord, or what is my place of rest? – Acts 7:48-49

Christ destroyed the earthly temples built with man’s hands and raised temples that are not built in that manner. No man can build it; therefore, any building that calls itself 'church' does not have its origins in the Father and the Son.

But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things of the future, through this greater and better Tent, NOT MADE WITH HANDS, that is to say, NOT OF THIS WORLD – Hebrews 9:11

Christ is the Head of his body who are the ekklesia. He fills them with the fullness of his spirit that is one with the Father. It is not about a big box with a steeple on it filled with religious people. The ekklesia of Christ are a spiritual body who have spiritual eyes who are able to see the Kingdom of God.

Carnal religious men want to see things with their physical eyes and they must funnel through the doors of their church building becoming minions of the kings that they desire to appoint for themselves. They desire an earthly king instead of a heavenly one.

The Jews did not recognize Christ as King because they wanted to be like the heathens in their worldly organizations. Today, it is no different as many are blinded and cannot recognize who has been appointed as head of God's people.

If you had knowledge of me, you would have knowledge of my Father: you have knowledge of him now AND HAVE SEEN HIM. – John 14:7

Those in the church system have the headship of a 'thorn' instead. In doing so, they give honour and glory the image of the Beast by giving power to it. From their earthly religious organizations, they usurp the role of Christ and give authority to ecclesiastical men instead.

We are to be the house of the spirit of the Father and His Son. To make it anything other than that will be gathered for burning at the end of the age.

As then THE EVIL PLANTS ARE GOT TOGETHER AND BURNED WITH FIRE, so will it be in the end of the world. – Matthew 13:40

Are you a part of the physical organization called church?

See results

Who kept faith with God who gave him his place, even as Moses did in all his house. And it was right for this man to have more honour than Moses, even as the builder of a house has more honour than the house....

For every house has a builder; but the builder of all things is God. And Moses certainly kept faith AS A SERVANT, in all his house, and as a witness of those things which were to be said later; But Christ as a son, OVER HIS HOUSE; WHOSE HOUSE ARE WE, if we keep our hearts fixed in the glad and certain hope till the end. – Hebrews 3:3-6

If you can get people to use a bible that has a 400 year old dead dialect, they will never figure anything out. The herd mentality that defends what the lying scribes translated into the KJV is part of the having been turned over to a deprived mind. Little effort is required to find the truth, but it is easier to sit and be taught lies by the hirelings.(after all most are paying good money for their opinions)

One of the main translators Erasmus was a Catholic that translated the Latin Vulgate to Greek and then to English, nothing could go wrong there. The Catholic doctrine of the trinity, original sin and many others are written right into the translations by the lying scribes. Today with computers and data bases it is easy to see where things have been changed or added to. No one truly wants to know, it is easier to hold on to what others tell you is correct.

Knowledge is a funny thing that if handled correctly will make you least in the world yet great in the Kingdom of God. Man/women have got this wrong from the garden up to this day. It is the word of God that is truth not some fleshly effort to control people with a dead dialect translation. Truth is truth in any language and will refute man’s doctrine every time.

The doctrine of the religious begins to fall apart with interlinear Greek and Hebrew writings. Even Strong's dictionary has been influenced by the status quo and traditions of men. When we are told to study, it doesn't mean to be spoon fed the deceptive lies of the deprived religious minds. Yet that is the bulk of the knowledge of the word of God. Disagreement that stems from “you have the wrong bible” is not disagreement but ignorance that cannot be correct without the intervention of God.

      @Simply -

I'm not trying to defend your attack on P&N (His name is Aaron by the way), but I will comment on your pro-trinitarian and "King James" stance.

If your foundation, which seems very clear, is built on nothing more than a "translation" of the original Greek and Hebrew , then you are at best one to be pitied, and at worst ignorant.

If you say your "King" is Jesus, than why does your bible not give him the Godly respect he deserves? After all, it arrogantly calls itself the "King James" bible. Last time I checked, I have no king but Jesus. Your hypocrisy in this matter reminds me when the Jewish leaders told Herod that they had NO king but "Caesar." It seems when it comes to the bible, you have NO "king" but "James."

Shed your ignorance and do a little study on how the King James bible was put together. For instance, did you know that your beloved King James gave 14 instructions to "his" hand-picked translators? #3 was "The old ecclesiastical words to be kept; as the word church, not to be translated congregation, &c." Do you have any idea why he wanted the "old ecclesiastical words to be kept?" For one, he wanted "ekklesia" to be mistranslated as "church." Do you know why? For another, the "old old ecclesiastical words" were to be kept to help retain the framework of the institutional model, liturgy and doctrines added to the ekklesia by man.

So your love for King James' translation along with your ignorance to its history may be what's keeping your blinders on.

As for the trinity, this "Catholic" doctrine is a total addition to the gospel that was once for all given by Jesus and his Apostles.

I suggest you do some serious study and prayer on the trinity doctrine.Aaron has posted many well referenced posts on the issue.

You can also check out my blog where you can read both my studies and many posts and links from other reputable authors.

Aaron, myself and many others who frequent this blog are only concerned with the truth of the gospel.

As for myself, I generally study from the NAS and also the original Greek and Hebrew translations of the NT and OT.

I suggest you supplement your KJV study with a reputable interlenear for original Greek and Hebrew such as the following:

You should be able to differentiate between someone making comments about your character and your public beliefs. They are not the same issues and never will be. You retorted to fallacy by equating these two. How can I judge your character without even knowing you or ever speaking with you? Makes no sense to me. You are either hyper sensitive, insecure or wrong in your beliefs, I guess. Aren't you now stating something about me that you can't prove? Anyway, it's obvious you want me to leave your site, so be it. It's your site, and your will be done, Sir. Thank you for reminding me that.

I have written several articles concerning the Trinity doctrine. I am quite familiar with the KJV Bible and you are welcome to quote verses in that version on any particular article that you have issue with. I have studied extensively, the Trinitarian "proof" verses that you believe "proves" the doctrine that you believe in. If you want to discuss the matter more extensively then I suggest you comment where the theme is presented.

You make many presumptions about me in your comments with no evidence, which gives no real credibility to your statements. You said you went through SOME of my hubs. That would reveal the SHALLOW extent of your research skills. Then you make your presumptions and conclusions based on that with a long winded rant. I won't entertain notions.

Do you remember the last time you commented on one of my articles?

      Here is what you said,

      Acts 13:9-10 KJV

[10]... O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? …

With this rethorical question I leave the site forever. Until the books are opened and these words are brought to your rememberance."))))

When you continue making serious accusations against my character as presented in your string of recent comments, it is one you to provide the evidence to back them up. That would mean a more diligent inquiry on your part. Do not be so quick to judge the character of another people with hardly any inquiry at all! Making snap judgments and accusations is simply bearing false witness.

One more comment if I may, please.

I went through some of your hubs and couldn't believe one thing... It was so obvious. I haven't seen once (maybe I missed once), but I checked hundreds of your sentences where you never dared calling my Lord Jesus as "The Lord." I can't escape the conclusion that to you He is just plain Jesus. Remember? No one can say He IS Lord, but by the Holy Spirit! Hint, hint...

This is unbelievable as even the evil spirits and unbelievers dare not calling Him anything else but "the Lord." So HE is.

Even many deceived will be calling, "Lord, Lord" on that day. What stops you from calling him LORD? Is he your Lord? You refer to him as Jesus, so he is to the rest of the world. To the truly saved, HE IS LORD, LORD JESUS! Praise his holy name. If it can't get through your mind and throat, you are none of his. A Christian must confess Him as his/her Lord. Once you truly believe and confess Him as the Bible teaches, He is to you forever the precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I can refer to The heathen's gods by first name, but not to my Saviour! To a Christian He is forever Lord. Yes, same wording as in the OT... hard to swallow the truth? Is He Jesus to you, or the Lord Jesus to you? Since Paul hardly ever referred to Him as Jesus, neither should we?! But, again, modern versions removed THOUSANDS of references to Jesus as LORD, SAVIOUR, GOD and CHRIST from their pages. Check it out for yourself. What you feed, that's what you become. By the fruits again...

I never disputed the meaning of the wording "ecclessia." I had an issue with "invisible ecclessia." I guess you misunderstood my point, but, nevertheless, thank you for your post.

The only comment I have is that too bad you are not reading and using King James. You would know what THE BIBLE says and you would not for certain who JESUS IS. Otherwise, you get from the rest of modern, perverted versions what you present in your beliefs and your posts -- modern perverted Christianity. And the conclusion is, sadly, not your fault. There is no way but to believe error while you feed on error. Your fault lies in what Bible you use. I hope everyone would agree to two facts: 1) that God promised to preserve and preserved His word and 2) that the Devil did everything possible to try to destroy it. Since the modern perversions only remotely resemble some parts of the word of God, there are two conclusions: 1) Christians had no real Bible for 15 centuries and God is a liar not being able to keep His word and 2) the modern versions as they are incompatible with KJ are wrong and lead to no end of damnable errors.

The measuring stick? "By the fruit you will know them." Yes, compare the fruit of both Bibles (number of cults and sects and unholy living).

Bottom line, if Jesus is not God, you are dead in your sins. His blood is not better then the blood of goats and rams or mine.

And, very true, you can't see that Jesus is God from any other version but KJ. Why? He either WAS and IS God, or he never was and this most important truth was lost for 20 centuries because God lied to us and hid his truth from us. Damned be such god!

I was what would be considered a Trinitarian four years ago. Although I had been out the Church system for some time, I had some excess baggage from the harlot system that was in great need of being purged from my mind. In fact, I had written an article that I thought was so water tight that Jesus is God that I thought it could not be refuted. I have since deleted the article as God took me through a cleaning process. I must say that it was probably one of the most mentally trying times that I have gone through in my life as I have lost much sleep wrestling back and forth in my mind to the point of breaking. This was the Holy Spirit purging the Trinitarian doctrine that had been etched into my mind. For so many years I sang Trinitarian worship songs and read what I thought were "proof" texts in the Bible while I was being blinded within the Church system.

The comments that you read from that particular article is evidence of the condition that I was in at that time. Many are the product of the same conditioning being fully convinced of the Trinity, and anyone who opposes their doctrines are considered crazy and a heretic. Once the Trinity doctrine was thrown to the wayside, many other false doctrines followed because so many of them are bound to it.

(("...when was your revelation to the truth of who Jesus is?"

To answer your question, it has only been in the last couple of years where I have come to have total peace in who Jesus Christ is.

The word "invisible" that I used was meant to be used in a spiritual/figurative context. Most people's natural understanding is in support of the man-made church system. That is why in the same paragraph I stated, "The Ekklesia of God are a spiritual body, and those who have spiritual eyes will see it because they see the Kingdom of God."

As Neil mentioned, it was probably not the best choice of words to use. I have edited the word out. You can be rest assured that you are not invisible ;-)

SimplyI- The term ecclesia was first translated as church by William Whillingham when he printed the Geneva New Testament in the year 1557. Until that time the word ecclesia stood in it's place. The word church is a mistranslation. The world ecclesia can be traced back to 500 BCE in Greek text which meant " Called out" or assembly or congergation. When you take into account that the so called"church" could not have existed 500 BCE then it highly likely the word ecclesia does not mean church.

The New Testament was first writen in Greek and and later in latin. The first time the word ecclesia (in Greek) was mentioned in the New Testament (and latter translated as church in 1557) is in Matthew 16: 18 (NKJV) which states: 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

The word church in this verse in the Greek text was ecclesia. And it meant "called out- assembly". It would be 1500 years later the word was change or translated to church.

The gospel the Jesus Christ brought to the world was the gospel of the Kingdom of God. Jesus first formed His ecclesia through His twelve disciple who later He made apostles (messengers). Jesus commanded the twelve apostles to go out a preach the gospel of the Kingdom of heaven Matthew 10:5-7 (NKJV) which states: 5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them saying; "Do not go into the way of the Gentile, and do not enter Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go; preach, saying, "The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

This is the resposibility of those of the ecclesia even today. The ecclesia are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, not members of a church. Christ is our King and head of the ecclesia.

If you are truely baptized with the Holy Spirit, then the spirit dwells in

you. The Holy Spirit guide you into all truths. As you study God's word the Spirit will help you to understand the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven if you seek for it. In Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) it states: 33 But seek FRIST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

The ecclesia is NOT something you join to be a member as they do in churches. You are drawn into it or called into it by the Father in Heaven. Your heart is open to the word of God. The Spirit of God calls you within the heart. In 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 (NKJV) it states : Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things of God except the Spirit of God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words of mans wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparings spiritual things with spiritual.

Those who are carnal minded do not seek the Kingdom of Heaven (God). These individuals you will find in churches and are part of the anti-christ system.. Those of the ecclesia are spirit minded and they seek the Kingdom of God and spread the Kingdom message.

The true ecclesia are those who have been called out. It something you're drawn into by the Father.

Have a good day and many blessings

Simply - "Invisible body"is probably just a poor choice of words to describe Christ's Ekklesia; which is a non-institutional or corporate structured body of believers built on man's doctrines and run by a hierarchy of "clergy." Christ's Ekklesia includes the universal body of believers and any local body that has access to one another on a regular basis.

My question is regarding an invisible body/ecclessia. Where did you find such idea in the Bible? I do not recall any of the apostles, believers or Jesus ever talking to or having any dealings with an invisible body or bodies. All I see in the Bible is an independant, local ecclessia gathered wherever it happens to be (Corinth, Rome etc.) in the name of Jesus. But an invisible ecclessia/fellowshipping body is a completely novel idea to me. Where is it? Who mentioned it? How do these invisible boddies fellowship? I am truly amazed at your imagination and creativity.

Or do you mean a purely biblical expression of a family of God? But even then we are not invisible! I am not invisible! Neither are my brothers and sisters in the Lord! If we are invisible, we are either physically dead or phisically alive but good for nothing (of no use to Hom) and unworthy to be called by His name.

PandN- Using the analogy of a tree was great. That is just how churches and the people within them operate.

I hope those who read this will have a far better understanding of what the true ecclesia is. And what the church is not.

      Another great article, God bless.
