Are You Ready for the Fire?
We must be crucified as well
Going through hell to get to Heaven
As surely as the sun rises in the east, so too will the fire come to you.
The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the LORD tests the heart.
Proverbs 17:3, New International Version
This is something most people do not understand, including many Christians. The fire is coming.
“What fire, how can we be prepared?” You ask.
The fire is the Holy Spirit burning off that which separates you from God.
It may be a bad habit or attitude like pride or being mean spirited (mean spirited means saying and doing things to upset others and then laughing at them. Unfortunately there is too much of that in todays world. It must not be in the heart of a Christian.).
It may be something you put above God like your career or social status (do you look down on anybody, do you think you are better than anybody? The Holy Spirit will humble you.).
When the fire comes it will seem like the very fires from the coals of hell itself. It will not, I assure you, be pleasant.
For me it was a toxic relationship. It took a year for the Holy Spirit to burn that Gaunxi (that is Chinese. It sounds like go on she, it means relationship, there, you just got a little free language lesson.) out of my heart. It was the most painful experience of my life.
Now, however, on the other side of it, I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. My Gaunxi with the big three: God the father, Jesus Christ, my Savior, King and best Friend and the Holy Spirit, my healer, Comforter and Guidance Councilor, is the most joyous experience of my life.
There is no preparation you can make for this exploit. It will be painful, but, in the end the most beneficial ordeal of your life.
And finally, don’t worry, He will always be right there with you, every step of the way.
“Trust Him, and He will help you” Psalms 37:5
Prayer:Thank you Jehovah Elohim,The Eternal Creator, for putting me through the fire and burning off the impurities that kept me from having a close relationship with You. Thank you that when I came out You are still molding me into a beautiful creation. I give thanks in the name of Him who walked through that fire with me, Jesus Christ. Amen
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
