Are we in a season of time? Part 1

Updated on June 14, 2016

Is time a necessity that we are born into?

Have you ever wondered why were you born or why there is time that we live in? I have often wondered these things and what is their purpose. It just holds me to seek it out, find it, it's purpose and why it's calling me. I am not sure why but it does not let me go. I am drawn to it like metal to a magnet. An unstoppable force. Like time it continues to be there and announce itself to us as if to say I need you. Even in childhood this has beckoned me to it. So why is it so important that I find it. Will it lead to all the answers I have about life. Or will it lead me elsewhere.

What constitutes time? Is it a mechanism that helps us or is it a vehicle that carries us to where we are supposed to be going. There are so many questions that really remain unanswered as to what is time and why are we in a season of time. What is a season of time? Are seasons increments of time or are they pieces of us and our life here? We are going to search out these unanswered questions with all available resources including our own interpretation as to what we think they may be. This is a very big quest that we are on and we do not know how much time it will take. No pun intended. :) So let's get started on this quest for seasons and time.

When did seasons and time start?

What we have been taught about seasons and time.

When I was a child ready to start asking questions my mind would run all day wondering why this and why that. I still have a very inquisitive mind asking all kinds of questions. I would ask my parents why and they would do their best to give the best response they could. They truly had no answer either so this really stirred that inquisitiveness in me of why. When I started school I would ask teachers why and they said well we do not study that so you'll first have to learn what we are teaching. Then when it did come time to learn of what they knew by their own standards they left me not understanding and still searching why. Many would try to explain it the best they could because that was all they knew and never even had the question run in their heart and mind coursing through their veins. It is in my life blood coursing through me telling me come seek me out, find me and know me. So I have been left with what they teach about seasons and time which are that seasons are phases of the earths rotating cycles. Spring, summer, fall and winter. Yes each season is different in as to what it brings but they are still the same which is to bring cycles of life and death in my perspective. Time is relatively different because it does not change in seasons or in life itself but continues to run as if there is no end. We try to capture it by clocks, by calender's, by seasons.

If we look in the Bible it tells us that God created seasons and time when He created the earth, heavens and everything in them. We will use Genesis 1: 1-19 to the research of this aspect of our inquiry into this search of seasons and time.

Versus are bold underlined to identify their canonization.

[Gen 1:1-19 NIV] 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day. 6 And God said, "Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day. 9 And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day. 14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day.

The First Season is Spring

In the season of spring is where new life begins. Seeds are planted to bring forth life. Seeds are natures way of maintaining life here on earth so as to stay alive. There are many different types of seeds ranging from plants seeds, human seeds, animal seeds, and so much more. There are different types of plants, different types of animals and culturally different humans. Yet we all are part of a cycle of life that is on this earth to keep it alive. Not all seeds are planted in the same season because each seed is different and takes a certain season to develop it's life in order to survive. But Spring is a great and beautiful season to start life in it's cycle. It was created this way by God according to the Bible. In spring life starts it's cycle as to bare the source it came from in order to stay alive on this earth. Spring time has the perfect weather and soil conditions to germinate those seeds that come to life in spring. Seeds must first die in order to live by being planted in soil that receives water to germinate the seed to bring forth life. Every seed dies which means life is sucked out of it except for it's purpose which water puts back into it. Water in spring time is fresh and cool and very resourceful full of nutrients and minerals that seeds and plants need to survive just as is the soil it needs. It is also the season when plants that are living produce new life from itself to fulfill a purpose in and of itself. Plants live in seasons of time which mold and shape it's life until it's end comes.

Summer Seasons

In the summer seasons there is much rain and sunshine to nurture plant, animals and living things on and in this earth as well. Each given it's own purpose caught in time, For plants it nurtures them to grow and become strong to pull life into itself to give life in return. For animals it's pretty much the same thing. They need the rain and sunshine to help them grow and become strong to with stand the harshest of seasons. Humans we need it also because it also nurtures us to become strong and filling us with life to insure our survival on this earth. This is the season that everything is well cared for to help it make it through the seasons of time. Everything grows in this season and grows fast as to what it receives to grow and become strong and vibrant. There are so many variables as to what makes life's growth vibrant, strong and fruitful for it's purpose here on and in the earth that it has been given to do.

Season of Fall

Then we have the season of fall where everything begins it's dormant season preparing for winter. It is also harvest time from the fruits of it's labors to give life unto the earth and it's inhabitants. For animals to get food to survive winter or eat enough food to survive winter as they hibernate. For humans to gather enough food to survive the winter also and also to build shelter to survive. All things need to prepare for winter season so that they may survive. Fall comes with beautiful colors and scents that put joy and peace into ones heart. The season to harvest it's bountiful labors and reap from those labors also that it prepares for the next season to rest and relax.

For some it is a season also to plant the seeds that need the cold temperatures to give them what they need to receive life. Which will produce life in the spring season and harvest in summer season. Like wheat and other plants. And also other life on this earth.

Winter Season

The winter season is a very cold and harsh environment of the part of earth it comes to. It freezes and blankets everything with snow and ice. This why why everything prepares for the winter season in Fall. Nothing grows or comes to life in winter except maybe a few animals or humans. But they are protected from the cold. It is also when animals and humans alike put on weight and our hair gets thicker to help protect us from harm in the winter season. Winter comes to control life's cycle by bringing death so that life may come in the spring. Winter is a season of rest and relaxation also to everything that still lives till it's time to end has come. Winter is beautiful and yet dangerous to those in it. There is life that needs winter and those are evergreen trees and that which needs the cold climate.

Some parts of the earth do not have seasons as we know of.

There are some parts of the earth that do not have different seasons but one long season depending what part of the earth it is. However there are seasons in them even though they are very slight. Yet they are working just the same as those other seasons in the rest of the earth. This lets us know that seasons are everywhere and everything is touched by them to shape and mold them into who they are.

This article will be continued to further our research of seasons and time.

There are also different types of seasons that work in life that we will search out and discuss why all living things on this earth must be for the development of life on earth and after. To every season there comes and end whether on the earth or those things living.
