Are you going through a Battle?

Updated on September 18, 2010

What Battle are You Facing in Your Life?

I am reading in Daniel 10 this morning about how Daniel set his heart to undertand, and humble himself before the Lord...and the Bible says that the Lord heard his prayers from the FIRST DAY that he set his heart to pray and seek the Lord!

Daniel 10:12:

12Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

One of my favorite books is "The Power of Focus".After reading that I realized
that every time I have been able to realy accomplish a lot, that it was because
of the power of focus! I finished up my bachelors degree, started a TV channel,
launched a 3-D Self Image Seminar for women and more! All by being focused!

Focusing is a powerful!
It is a scriptural principal! Daniel had become FOCUSED and
set his heart and mind toward seekingthe Lord and he
was determined to get an answer - and HE GOT IT!

I remember attending an Advanced Leadership Training with Brian
Klemmer and he always told us that INTENTION + MECHANISM = RESULT!
He said the mechanism can be anything we chose to get the job done...
but the key was this...IF there is real INTENTION - there WILL BE RESULTS!

I think Daniel proved that!
Daniel prayed and fasted for 21 days.
His prayers were being hindered by a couple demons.
(see Daneil 10:13)
This is a great example of what we have
happening in our lives everyday. Whenever we
we will have obstacles that will try and stop us!
There will be a battle you will have to fight!

Daniel had evil spirits that were hindering his prayers....
but the Lord came and told him that Michael his angel came to help him.

In the book of Ephesians, in the New Testament we are told that
our fight is NOT with flesh and blood...(it may seem like it is your husband or
wife or other person) but it is really what is influencing is
against principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness.

The good news is that we have the whole armor of God
to put on and the SWORD of the SPIRIT which is the
to fight with and WIN!

Ephesians 6:10-18:

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

That is great news! We WIN! As a Christian with Jesus Christ in our hearts
and His Words in our heart and mouth...even though we will have battles, --
we have the victory!

It's like all good movies that have a happy ending...except the movie that is being written is your life and you WIN if you don't quit and if you'll take up the whole armor of God and get the SWORD of the SPIRIT which is the Word of God and speak it out of your mouth - yes - out those principalities, power and rulers of the darkness...they will be cut down in your life! God's word is powerful!

Revelation 12:11:

11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Hebrews 4:12:

12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

When faced with life's battle... the Lord suggests we put on His Armour

and take up His SWORD and start fighting the real enemies of our faith.

God bless!

Until next time...

Gammalinda, Wonderful, Insightful & Powerful hub! I like what you learned in your leadership training. "INTENTION + MECHANISM = RESULT!" Great advice!

With God on your side you can achieve any goal He has in mind for you...Having HIM and HIS will as the proper "FOCUS" is key!

What an excellent reminder of what to do when in the midst of a situation or spiritual warfare. When you have done all that you can do "STAND!"

Thank you for sharing, In HIS, Love, Joy, Peace & Blessings!

Thank you for a wonderful reflection. Indeed, we must keep ourselves armored lest we fall victim to the evil one's wiles.

      God Bless,
