Are you too busy doing the wrong things

Who ya gonna serve

Don’t love this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you don’t really have the love of the father in you” (1 John 2:15).

“For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving or everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world” (1 John 2:16 NLT)

“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. And when you are tempted he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Corinthians 10:13 GNT).

Sorry Lord, I am too busy _____________ (fill in the blank i.e. washing my beautiful, expensive car) to serve.

Are you tempted to make gods out of your possessions? Are you willing to allow them to be sneaky little thieves, stealing your time and energy that should be devoted to God? Do you allow pride and arrogance to blind you to those around you, where you can give service to helping those less fortunate than you?

Then you people, are morally and spiritually bankrupt.

Why do you feel pride in your accomplishments? Are they not a blessing from Jehovah Jireh (Jehovah our provider). By refusing to use these accomplishments for the glory of Christ and instead taking all the credit for yourself, are you no better than a filthy arrogant thief?

Instead with a humble and grateful heart thank Jesus for those beautiful and special gifts He has graciously given you and use them to guide others to Him

Prayer: Oh wonderful Jehovah El Shaddai (God is sufficient for the needs of His people) please guard my heart from the filth of pride and arrogance. Instead fill it with overflowing joy and gratitude for those wonderful blessing. Fill my heart with a groaning starvation desire to use these gifts for Your magnificent glory and to guide the lost little lambs to You. In my beautiful savior Jesus Christ’s name I humble ask. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day
