As Long As I Can Touch One Person's Heart

Updated on March 18, 2013

As Long As I Can Touch One Person's Heart

As long as a poem can touch one person's heart,

Then writing a poem should be well spent time.

Spending so much time here being earth bound

Making what some people call senseless rhyme.

Often you have yearned for a better situation,

Not one that was so full of contention and strife.

If you are fully committed to being God's Child

You'll do what He asks of you every day of your life.

If you say "No" to obedience and then you think

That maybe you should just start looking around.

You will find that a new master is easy to come by,

You just turn around for Satan can always be found !

But what would you do ,with his choice of weapons ,

Just to try to defeat all the unrest in your soul?

A bottle of booze can not heal,,just make you comply.

It can't heal your body and it can't make you whole !

The time will come when you leave this old earth,

If you once knew The Lord but have drifted away,

All of life's pleasures the good and the bad stay.

Search your heart will you be ready if this is the day?

On that day when you are called to meet your Maker

The one thing you can take is the good that you've done.

If you have been true and you have been forgiven

You should have gifts to lay at the feet of God's Son !

Clara Kish

Have you ever thought about all of the poems

you see written about Jesus returning soon?

Now no one knows when He will return but

God Is sending messages every day to warn

people to be ready, any day or any hour.God

is giving you warning to be ready when that

day comes. There will be no time to repent

then, Please don't laugh or mock ,this is very

serious , Now is the time to prepare for that

day!

Hello Tessie , How are you today? I hope you have all of those things out of the road now and that all our days will be filled with sunshine or should I say Son shine now?I tried to put some things on here last night but it would not work right a so I finally gave up and went to bed. That poem is one that has always stuck with me , and the one I wrote about Fred. I have written so many I have no idea how many that I have. sometimes I will read one of them and I think did I write that , then I see my name and date on it , my brain is so full I don't think it will hold much else now, lot of years and a lot of memories. some good and some bad.I guess that's life. The good ones are when I met you and we have always been such good friends, that will always be with me .Love, cherry

I started to look to see is you had other comments on here , you usually don't just stop at one .That is fine with me ,I love to hear from you . I hope these poems touch a lot of hearts . God gives me the ideas and I try To take it from there, sometimes I have to call God to help me get out of a mess that I have got myself into ,then I delete back to where I messed up and can finish the poem. God doesn't make me mess up ,I can do it all by myself. I don't need any help to do that LOL

AS LONG AS I CAN TOUCH ONE PERSON'S HEART and on here it seems that you are touching many hearts. God touches your pen and tells you what to write and God knows what people needs to hear. God provides Hub Pages to get these messages out. Thank God you are touching many hearts now. You have touched my heart for many years. Keep up the GREAT work! Tessie

Hello Jackie, Thank you for your comment. I thought maybe you was someone new but I see you have so many hubs on here ,they sounded very interesting , I will get back to read some of them later. When I first came on here I had the idea that very few people would be interested in these poems. I am glad that I was wrong, I had no idea that they would go all over , but it seems like God is sending them places that I never even thought of .It is all about touching hearts. Clara

Hi Clara, seems we have a lot in common; writing our thoughts in poem and rhyme. Your style reminds me much of mine too.

I am very aware of Jesus' soon return and agree with you completely there. God bless you for spreading the word. Will share this with my friends and will be back to read more.

Yes. Our relationship with God is the most important in our lives - and in our death.

Karen .I believe that is the way most of us come to The Lord , by someone's prayers. I am sure I had many prayers going up for me,Maybe God got tired of hearing them ,anyway somebody's prayers worked and I am thankful .We all need a prayer warrior at times . Love, Clara

Thank you , Karen , for all of your comments. I am trying to write what I feel God wants me to say. One Hubber said I had a unique way of writing, I am not sure if that is good or bad but when God gives me the idea I just try to write what I feel is right, Of course ,I know I make mistakes but I am trying the best that I know how to please God.That to me is more important than anything else. The main thing is trying to get to people's heart , you know that as well as I do maybe better, and it can be the hardest thing you can do , just pray is the best thing that we can do when people will not listen. Love, Clara

      Dear Clara,

So true. I often say in my hubs too that God is constantly sending out warnings in these latter days. Most folk just choose to walk on by! Like in the days of Noah.

You are doing such a grand job here for the Lord Clara. You audience is growing. Praise God. Amen
