As a Christain is your prespective inline with CHRIST'S?

Updated on May 5, 2011

To help me better illustrate my points in this hub, allow me to open by first asking your opinions. Please answer all questions truthfully, before reading any further.

Question 1.

Should a homosexual be allowed to preach in a christian church?

See results

Question 2.

Should a registerd sex offender be allowed to be an active member of your congregation?

See results

Question 3.

Should a known pedophile be allowed to crosss the threashold of the House Of GOD?

See results

Let me begin by stating that I DO NOT in any way support or condone any transgression against GOD'S LAW! Also any statements made here are my opinions and are not intended to represent Christianity as a whole. Further more, this is in no way an attempt to bash Christians since I myself claim CHRIST as the Messiah and my personal Savior. However it has been my experience that there are a handful of Christians who do not have a true concept of love and compassion. The purpose of this hub is to ask those Christians to re-evaluate their position on love thy neighbor.

I feel that some Christians tend to classify sin by acceptability based on it's offensiveness to them. I too am guilty of this at times, which is why I feel the need to address this problem. No sin should be seen as acceptable, no one any more then another. To view sins in degrees so to speak, is a form of self-righteousness. It is to say that my sins are not as bad as yours, and I am more deserving of CHRIST'S Salvation then you. Is that a message you would want to send. CHRIST saw all sin as an abomination, even yours. HIS death on the cross was a GIFT to all the world. HE saves us from all manner of sin, not just the ones we dictate as more or less offensive. Sin is sin and is deserving of hell, but we are all invited to follow JESUS. With that in mind, should we treat any sinner differently based on which laws they have kept and which ones they break. My point is simply this, under the teachings of CHRIST can you treat the homosexual on your right any different then the liar on your left, or the sex offender on your left any different then the thief on your right.

With this having been said, please allow me to ask you a few more Questions.

Question 1.

Should a liar, thief, or adulterer be allowed to minister?

See results

Question 2.

Should you be allowed to join your local congregation?

See results

Question 3.

Should a sick person be able to seek help at a hospital or doctors office?

See results

Question 4.

Has this hub helped to change the way you think?

See results

If you have answered no to any of these questions, I am praying for you!!!

The purpose of this hub is not to promote any gay rights movements as I do not support gay marriage.  Nor is it an attempt to say laws on child abuse are to strict since I am a loving father of five beautiful children, and do intend to protect them from the evil of the world.  I am just asking others to see things as they are and to hate only the sin not the sinner.  JESUS commanded us to love!

Do You?

great hub. Keep it going. Jesus loves the sinner not the sin. However, God does not use a dirty vessel to do His work. He cleanses the dirty vessel through the blood of Jesus, then allow such a person to do His work. God refines us as gold before He instructs us to do His work. With that said, a dirty vessel should not be preaching from God's holy pulpit and contaminate the people of God. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What iinside a person, will eventually come out. However, we are to embrace all sinners, no matter what they have done (even homosexuals) with the love of God. When they come to church, we shoudl treat them like how Jesus would treat them: with compassion and mercy. For it is the love of God that saves us all. When the Holy Spirit cleanses, washes and purifies the vessel, then such a one can declare God's Word.

You are welcome-- but what about my question?

.... and if I may humbly ask another question

Why are you still Seeking Salvation if you know that Jesus saves us?
