"Every artist dips his brush into his own soul and paints his own nature into his pictures." - Henry Ward Beecher, 1813-87, Writer/Reformer

I had the strangest of dreams ...

I had the strangest of dreams

Tell me about the aspect of time

How could that be?How could there be?

Perplexed, I responded:

I’ve known as a single quantity.

Time as aspect, I’ve known

But Aspect of Time?

Let Time speak.

“I am thoust most constant companion.

Everything you perceive and have

From me take their being.

I am thine most ignored.

In thoughts that are busy

In blame for the past

In worry for the future

You never had time for me

I am thine most irreverenced!

In controlling

In planning and struggling

In competing

Amassing wealth and stature

That you revere.

Forgetting me

Thoust thine godliness so lost

Remembering me

Thoust thine godliness returned

Thoust am I, thine Mother Time!

I am God, the finite one.

The mortal god

For mankind’s use made flesh

A physical body on a physical plane

At the end to be discarded,

Rebirth for the infinite One.

god of Time,

time by God

If thoust only knew

You would be doing

Only the not-doing

To be in the Now

Never too busy

Yet everything with swiftness of limbs

Agility of mind

‘ Tis me manifest

From your allowing

Accepting every moment of Now.

I come alive.

Aspect of time,

We have known each other

Thoust have known me

I have known thee

Through the timeless of times.

Before the timeless

With like-minds agreed:

A single destiny,

To implode into Time

Into the timeless.

To know God.”

I pondered Time’s words.

And thought some,

Heard some

‘Not about the "money, money, money" ’

How it figures?

Sitting at the feet of Jesus,

Everything figures!

To know God

I heard the exact words "Aspect of Time" in my dream and proceeded to write about it upon waking up as soon as I could.

Thanks for dropping by and honoring the hub with your inspiring comment, Emanate Presence!

Your 'Aspects of Time: A Single Destiny' poem is delightful.

Was it inspired by a real dream in the night?

It contains gems of insight and is a pleasant read.
