Virgo - Scorpio
Scorpio is Water and Fixed. Virgo is Earth and Mutable. Scorpio’s fixity is internally realized. Scorpio embodies the inner quest for control and power. Virgo’s quest is for perfectibility of the around. Virgo has a Virginal and Naïve approach, in which power does not emerge as an issue. They are mainly concerned with the rightness and correctness of what they are doing. This would not strike people immediately as a great match. A look at astrological specifics in the moon or rising signs, or specific aspects in their individual charts might be beneficial, because these two do not have lots in common, but ironically they have much to offer each other.
Scorpio presents an almost unreasonable confidence to the world. Virgo picks up on that inexplicable sense of security and imbibes a bit from the Scorpio magic and benefits. The practicality of Virgo can often translate into a respectability and soundness that speaks to good social standing. Scorpio can enjoy the earthy direct and dignified manner that Virgo brings to the relationship. Their differences do tend to enhance each other. Scorpio’s strong inner power gives Virgo’s inner unsureness a boost. The Virginal mind has its hopefulness, but that hopefulness combined with its innocence leads to a shakiness that leads to moping. Their plans have not been dashed, but they are always working on a vision of collapse or disappointment. This gives them a kind of sadness that could be characterized as a moodiness. Scorpio’s company tends to offset this tendency because of their strong inner psychological structure that seems to defy so many potential threats. Since Scorpio lives in a very convoluted interior network of drama, victory, defeat, sudden events and the potentially unanticipated, they tend to be suspicious. In their minds, it helps them to be suspicious. The way they look at things, everyone could be a potential danger to one degree or another. Virgo offers a completely different approach. They have their direct agenda, in which the rest of the world is not out to get you, they just need improvement. What that does for Scorpio is lift the lid of suspicion and the weariness of always looking out for its own protection. Virgo’s contribution here is a freshness of purpose and the absence of that intense dramatic suspicious nature. It is in this way that apparently oppositional signs can bring salubrious and almost medicinal qualities to the other.
Positive Postulate: This oppositional, but potentially cooperative pair could make good things out of a new union, association, company or marriage. Scorpio, because of its qualities has much to share other signs. Virgo is blessed with its naiveté to a degree that almost makes them impervious to the pulsating threat that many other sun signs feel around the (Scorpion, Eagle, Dove). Imagine a “toughened” up Virgo and a more relaxed Scorpio.
Romance Recommendation: Romance brings the physical and the psychological together, especially in this pair. The disarming quality of Virgo can make Scorpio let down its guard and declassify so many of its internal secrets. Scorpio with its guard down can bring real healing to what often is a highly complicated past and present. Virgo’s innocent and open way can get some education from the Scorpion and get in touch with some human emotions and thoughts that they might not otherwise have
Conflict Quotient: Scorpio, (whether a lizard, a scorpion, an eagle or a dove) can bring way too much power to an angry battle. That is why it should not do so with a Virgo. Virgo should also work on its tendency to always find fault and make corrections, as Scorpio will take those cuts and abrasions in a more serious way than Virgo really intends. When neither is in the act of trying to bring pain or shame into the script, then the unfolding of life, because of conflict’s effect on the soul, can take place.
Peace Parlay: Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: "Can we be bored together over the long term?" For these two boredom might be sought out. Their always active craniums could use a little peace and solace. Virgo must repair the battering that it sometimes gives itself. Scorpio can unplug the circuits every once in a while and go to “off”. Since boredom, as a cause for relationship mortification is not a likelihood, it’s worth the time they spend together quietly.
Keep Up The Interest Graph: Virgo will always have a new idea, some good, most all generously provided. Scorpio will most likely enjoy new interesting ideas, especially since it is from Virgo.
Seven Year Itchiness: There are some signs that by their nature are more stable in their love interests and family concerns as time goes on. Others are not. This is an unusual union, and if it is actually working in this wonderful way I have been describing. If not, then 7 would not be a magic number.
ASTROCOMPATIBILITY POSSIBILITY RATING: 70% Positive Long Term - 50% Short Term. This unusual match could work early and fascinatingly, and then through discovery, find a unique peace for each other. This is not an easy match, but wonderfully intriguing to ponder as a strong possibility.
