Be Still and Know I Am God

Updated on March 14, 2017

The snow
Did fall again.
Beautiful splendor.
Be still and
Know that I am God.

God's gentle Word
To be heard.
Soft, quiet whisper.
I'm here.
You are dear.

Sit with me.
Enjoy your day.
I've made this
For us.
Don't fuss.

Worry not.
The snow
Does cover
Your time.
You are mine.

I enjoy
Bringing the snow.
Watch it fall.
Sit with me,
Beauty to see.

I love you.
You are mine.
This day
To share,
All to bear.

I love Thee,
My LORD.
Beautiful,
You are
My morning star.

The snow
Did fall again.
Beautiful splendor.
Be still and
Know that I am God.

How awesome I read this. I have had some turmoil in my life the last few weeks and I've been seeking the Lord. He told me today, "Be still and know that I am God." Another version says "Cease striving and know the I am God." I just got home, it's 9:30 p.m. and on my long drive home I felt His peace as He spoke this to me. I am very happy though that it isn't snowing. :) Bless you sister. Your heart is so sweet as is your poetry.

I liked the comparison of gently fallen snow and the comfort of God's Word and Presence. A beautiful reflection.
