Be Still Before God: Pray Without Ceasing

Updated on June 11, 2017

"Pray without ceasing" - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

What does it mean to be still in the Lord? It means that we stop pretending that we can do all things, stop making ways and plans that ain't give us answers, stop bursting our flaring anger to someone that we know it doesn't change a thing. Be still on the Lord. It's one way of God saying to us that, "child, I am God and I am able to do things that you can't do." What an amazing God we have. As a child of God, we get back to our knees, be still and pray.

When you feel giving up, PRAY.

When you feel nothing change, PRAY.

When everyone shut you down, PRAY.

In everything we do, in doubt, in fear, we ought to PRAY. Not just today but continually without ceasing. In every circumstances that we are facing and about to face God always reminds us that we are to be still and firm knowing that He is able to do things what our mind can't perceive. May we always remember that prayer can change everything. Pray, pray and pray until something happens. Sometimes if not most of the times God don't just answer our request with always a "YES" rather He answers by saying "WAIT/NOT YET", "OTHERS". He answers yes because our desire is inline with His will. He answers wait/not yet is not really means no. He wants us to persevere with great patience and learn to wait for His perfect timing. Also the last one, He don't answer with a no. God always answers,He is an Omnipotent God and He knows what's best for us. Sometimes what we think that is best for us is the one that leads us to nowhere. Yet, the answer that God will give to us is far more better than the one we asked of Him.

If have been praying for something for a long time, never stop praying. Be still unto the Lord. However, His plans for us is best and for our good as what Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Wow! what a great promise God has for us. Alwas remember, humble yourself before the Lord, pray without ceasing and trust the Lord that He will do great things in our life. And say to your self, "Thy will be done Lord."

May you be blessed today and the days to come. Shalom! Soli De Gloria! God bless us all!
