Becoming Like Him

Updated on March 12, 2010

Becoming Like Him

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies Himself, just as He is pure.

1 John 3:2,3 NIV

Sometimes we may walk around feeling like we don't belong. But we have a hope inside us when Jesus comes back we will be like Him, but it has not been made known yet. We look forward to Jesus appearing then we will see Him as he is.

Having this hope purifies us just as He is pure.

This I look forward to alot.

We have so many trials and storms in our lives that it wears us down, it drives us to our knees at times. Life takes a toll on a person. When JESUS walked the earth we all know He must of gotten so tired, He walked every where He went and it was most likely so hard for Him for He needed to know how we felt and how we deal with our aches and pains so He had to come down as a man to know our deep feelings and hurts.

But one day we will be like Him, He will sweep us away to our Heavenly home in heaven.

Keep looking up and wait for the reward  God has given us.

This is so true. I have been tested, and tested to the point where I thought I would loose my faith, yet I stood firm.

God is my refuge and in this journey through life will be my constant source of hope! Great Hub.

Isn't that great. That is the only thing that keeps me going. The fact that I will not be in my sinful flesh forever, and that the world won't be into sin forever. We have the promise and the hope of a new tomorrow forever in him.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Cor.3:18

He is changing us day by day into His image.

Hallelujah ! Enjoyed your Hub. Blessings to you.

Fitting in or even being accepted here on earth is not a goal worth aspiring to. The Resurrection and all that goes with it has it all over this pitiful mess we're in. We can bring the message, though when we're ridiculed? What was that about putting our pearls before swine? Those of us who put it in action daily have to because those who claim to have all the answers have created the pit the lost need to be pulled out of.

Short and nice!!! Rated and Stumbled!

jesusmyjoy...that is the be like Jesus not so as I could replace Him...but so I would glorify Him...that people would indeed see and experience the presence of Jesus when they experience my words and/or actions. am I ready to be overlooked and forgotten as long as they (people) see Jesus and do not forget Him? Good question to ruminate on.

Thanks for the thoughts and the rumination...:)

      Blessings to you
